I saw the E3 '05 tech demo but nothing more came up about it.

tech demo. As of right now there aren't any plans of FF7 itself to be rerealesed on the PS3

Sakyh tech demo. As of right now there aren't any plans of FF7 itself to be rerealesed on the PS3 I wonder why, it would fly off shelves if they did, but of course they said that they would never re-make this game. I'm surprised that they remade ff3, to be honest.

Chya~ that's what I heard as well.
At first, I would be really-REALLY excited to see an FFVII remake.
BUT at the same time it would almost be less cool than the PSX version, because for me I grew up loving that one. Part of my love for it is the cruddy graphics and mispelled words, etc. ;v

To be frank, I think they should just make more of the PSX version and send that out. I'm not paying $50 for FFVII. Its not THAT good. stare

Squaresoft has stated in a press release that what was shown was only a technical demo for the playstation three and that they had no plans to remake final fantasy 7 for the console.

mysticneko To be frank, I think they should just make more of the PSX version and send that out. I'm not paying $50 for FFVII. Its not THAT good. stare GASP!!! I'd buy a PS3 solely for FFVII!!! Actually, instead of a remake, I'd love a sequel to Dirge of Cerberus with the original FFVII gameplay, and with a new magic character to replace Aeris and NOT die. Also with more chocobo types, more materia, and a huge map.

I supposedly, I heard that they were Planning to, I'm not sure if it's certain. Personally I kind of don't care, because I don't like Final Fantasy VII, it doesn't call to me like the rest. NO offennse to anyone who DOES like the game, that's just my opinion.

Yeah, I just never cared to jump on that FFVII bandwagon. I'm an IX person myself. If they remade FFIX for the PS3, I'd buy one, but not VII. That game's had enough spinoffs already.

Hmm they should remake the first 6 I would play those and then 7 8 and 9 if they want but that would be cool

I have no idea. Different people say different things. Personally I hope they don't remake it because a lot of people who are "fans" haven't actually played the game (at least a lot of people I know) and I think that the game separates the real fans from the people that jumped on the band wagon.

I don't know either, but I personally think it would be a good idea to remake most of the Final Fantasy games, atleast not leave them forgotten in a corner. That's just me of course sweatdrop
