Ok, seriously, this whole insomnia thing is getting REAL old. No matter what i do, i can't get to sleep until like 3 or 4 in the morning. Sleeping pills don't work. I've even stayed up all night and day to try and get back on a somewhat normal schedule, but no. It's like my freakin brain won't shut off! It's like 2:30 in the morning, i'm trying to get to sleep, and all i can think about is how i want to dye my freakin hair! WTF IS THAT??? So... What can i do? If i take a sleeping pill now, i'll sleep till 3 in the afternoon tomorrow and start this lovely routine all over again, but i can't sleep! scream [/rant] Ugh...

I hate when that happens. I dont have any advice, since I rarely find anything that even remotely helps.
Ive been waking up at 6am for absolutely no reason at all lately. Even if I didnt fall asleep til 1-2am and have to be up at 7am. Starting to piss me off tbh. stressed

As a general rule, laying in bed and shutting your eyes is better than typing for insomnia. wink
Try putting on socks and getting a drink of water. I don't know why, but it makes me feel like a little kid, and feeling like a little kid again = less stress = more chance of sleep. Mike is a timid insecure girl.

Sonic Butterfly: No, but that sounds kinda dangerous to me... xd
MoonTree: I was waiting for someone to say something like that... SO I COULD EFFING KILL THEM!!! Lawl, j/k.
I know, but after a while it just seems like i might as well be doing something, rather than just laying there bored. neutral

Uh, it might be dangerous, but it hasn't killed me yet. *is waiting for the benadryl to kick in as we speak.* ninja
Anyways, I feel you. The whole reason I'm up right now is because of my job. I'm just used to working at night. Been doing it for years now so going to sleep before 3 or 4 feels weird to me.
And to think, it all started with a temporary monster gig at Scandia. XD *is hoping to try out at Knott's at some point* heart

i have that problem sometimes, too. its just a matter of being able to clear my mind for me.
if its the problem of your mind going crazy with a million thoughts that prevents you from sleeping, try kind of meditating and clearing your mind. i can't get to sleep until its blank.
or you could listen to music.

I have the same kind of problem. I have anxiety, and when I'm anxious I never can get normal sleep, but I also have depression, and when that kicks in, I end up sleeping for days. I usually don't get to sleep till 2 or 3 in the mourning, and when I'm depressed I sleep in till 1 or 2 in the afternoon, sometimes later. You should probably talk to your doctor about your proble though, because it sounds like you have really bad insomnia. I take medication for anxiety that helps me sleep, and from reading that you can't sleep because your thinking about dying your hair...that sounds a bit right, you just need to get things off your mind. Before you turn to meds though, try finding a hobby to do before going to bed, like reading. I know I can read and it helps calm me down, it's worth a shot. Or music is a good thing to fall asleep to as well, something calming...
