((Too lazy to get pictures. Maybe later.))

Tiffany lay down under a tree, shielding her white fur from the hot sun. Not that her color was any type that attracted heat. If any, it would keep her cold. But she heard that sun in excess could damage hair, making it dry. That was the LAST thing she needed!

She shifted slightly, briefly worrying if she was going to stain her chest and legs, laying like this. But it was comfortable. Her stomach felt wrong. But that was CERTAINLY no excuse to slack. What was she thinking?

The mare heaved herself up, shaking to get the blades of her fur. Luckily, no damage, she carefully leaned over and smoothed out the fur properly. There. Perfect again, despite her brief laps of judgment. That couldn't, wouldn't happen again.

After all, if it weren't for her looks, what else did she have, except a sparking personality? And nobody cared for personality.

Nobody, save except Attie.

Personality is what mattered in her opinion. And nothing but. A stallion could be the most handsome she'd ever seen, but then turn out to be a complete arse. But then, a not so good looking, scruffy and old stallion could come her way and she'd fall head of heels in love with his charming, sweet, knight-in-shining armor personality.

...

Well a girl could dream, right? It wasn't as if she actually expected any of that to actually happen, and plus she wasn't that pretty herself. Just a simple mare lingering on the thought of a relationship of her own that mimicked her parents. Papa always said that he didn't want his eldest (or youngest) to fall for a stallion that was like him, or any stallion for that matter....but the yellow eyed mare knew better. He was just being Bairn-she knew he would be the type to definitely agree on a mating between a personality like his own.

The pitter-patter of her light hooves could be heard down a winding path leading aimlessly. And the mare in question was deep in thought. Stallions. So idiotic...so pointless...so rediculous and yet...

Perfect.

She had grown older, and a lot of the times by herself with nothing to do, so the mare had grown accustomed to stalking couples and listening or watching what they did together. It was so wonderful, and now...she wanted it for herself. But Abattie couldn't have it as easily as some mares. It wasn't as if she could drop a tie from her mane and a billion stallions came to her rescue. No, she was a loner through and through. The thought made her cry, and so did watching all those couples.

Many a'times, the mare found herself getting eager when the mate of a handsome stallion wandered off. Just a chat, that's all she'd need to feel satisfied. A simple, 'Hello!' would do wonders for the overly sensitive and emotional mare.

Damn stallions. She thought as she continued down the path. Idiots. They're all idiots....

Tiffany's slender white ears pricked upwards. Someone was coming! She examined herself quickly, wanting to make sure he hadn't missed anything. How horrid it would be to be caught in the act of slacking off! Absolutely shameful, it would be. Someone was coming along the bend in the path.

She hoped it would be Korusi. No. She didn't want to see him. She REALLY didn't want to see him. Hopefully it WOULDN'T be Korusi. And of course it wouldn't be. Because he wasn't around here. She made sure of that. She wend as far away as she could go. Because she only sort of wanted to see him.

Tiffany onto the path herself, and began walking towards where she heard the footsteps, so they wouldn't suspect she had been lounging under the tree. Because that was what everyone was ALWAYS trying to do. Trying to cheat her out of her perfection, trying to find some flaw, and poke at it until she wasn't perfect. But she was. But her stomach hurt, and she is allowed to rest because of that. If she didn't feel well, she knew her personality couldn't be as sparkling as it always was.

She turned the corner, seeing a golden mare. Dingy. Dirty. Hopeless. That was all she saw. Some pathetic mare with droopy braids and unnecessary hope in her eyes. Certainly she was dreaming of something, probably some stallion trying to woe her. Thats how it always was around here. Stallions seemed to center around everything. Tiffany hated that. She didn't need a stallion to make her better then everyone else.

But maybe she had one?

Continueing her hoofsteps ever so carefully, the yellow mare didn't look up from the ground until she heard someone coming her way. Hopefully it was someone interesting! She could use a little cheering up lately.

Yellow eyes looked up, and saw what seemed to be a cream colored prissy little mare. She shimmered in the light of the sun and Abattie's first thought came directly out of her mouth.

"...Are you my guardian angel?"

Of course, this mare didn't have wings or anything to make her look the part, but that didn't mean she couldn't be! Her eyes were green like her Mama's and hair blond like an angel's was supposed to be. She even wore the prettiest of flowers, laced all four of her legs up to the very top and she had the tint of rosyred cheeks.

The perfect description of a guardian angel, and a beautiful one at that. But the sudden words were a slight embarrestment to the yellow mare. She hadn't meant blunty point that out, what if the mare (or angel) didn't want to give up her idenity right away? Well, Attie was much to wise for her anyways so she had already figured that out.

A friendly smile was placed on the mare's face as she got closer, but only a tad so not to scare away the beautiful sight before her. Why, though, had the Gods given her someone like this? To taught her own persoanlity? Or maybe it was a symbol of how beautiful she was too, and this one was here to help her!

The smile grew bigger, and Attie stepped closer taking in the shimmering light that surrounding her even more. Wow, really? Someone as bright and perfect as this mare...here in the presense of Attie? "Well, hello I suppose." She finally said, still dumbstruck.

Tiffany let a smile play across her face. An angel? Certainly not! But she looked like one, she knew it. She was the most gorgeous perfect mare every to walk this earth. Maybe she WAS an angel, and she just didn't know it? That was always an option.

But certainly she wouldn't be the guardian angel to THIS mare. She looked so pathetic. But maybe Tiffany's job was to make this worthless thing beautiful? That would be hard. Very hard. The mare's base markings weren't horrible, she had some high points. But there was some potential there. Kind of.

"Maybe" she said, unsure now. "Although if I am we have a LOT of work to do" she said, neither confirming nor denying the possibility. It was possibly, right? Despite her lack of wings. And stomach ache, which seemed to get worst as the days went by.

The mare walked forward, circling the golden mare, examining what she could do to give her a make over. "How often do you bathe?" she asked. The mare obviously wasn't very very dirty, but she certainly wasn't perfectly clean like a mare was supposed too!

"And do you comb your tail out often?" she asked, it looked a bit tangled. Tails could be a pain, Tiffany of all people knew that. But they were a key point. "And how often to you have a two legger re-do your braids? Because they may start getting ratty" she said.

This mare needed work, that was sure. But there was nothing the perfect angel Tiffany couldn't take on.
PostPosted: Thu Jul 26, 2007 9:25 am

The mare looked happy when she said, 'angel'. Then that settled it, she probably was. Not one to abuse her job and want others to know of it, but one indeed. But again, why her? What kind of beautiful mare would bother their time with her?

And what job was she assigned to do with Attie, anyways?

When the mare spoke she even sounded like an angel! Ooooh! This made the yellow mare feel so happy it was almost as if she could cry and not care! "Work...?" She began, yellow eyes watching as she was being examined. "How often do I...? Oh, well usually everyday or two but I haven't gotten that far yet. I suppose it depends on my mood...and my tail? Well, I can't reach it and to answer your other question I don't have a two-legger. I'm a loner. I have a family but I rarely see them." Ratty braids blah...maybe that was the reason why stallions never came her way!

Was that Tiffany's job, to make her prettier so she can be a mare for once? If so, this was her lucky day she supposed.

"Can I be so modest as to ask your name, Angel?"

Tiffany was liking this angel thing. She was REALLY liking this angel thing. In fact, it was pretty cool. Maybe she would just become an angel. Because then people wouldn't question he so much. Yes, that is what she would do. She would tell everyone she was an angel.

"Well. Lets get too it then" she said, looking over for a river or pond. She was fairly sure there was one a bit up the path. "Come, lets go this way" she said, trotting forwards, holding her head high and her tail up. Surely the golden mare would follow, because she thought Tiffany was her guardian angel. She would have to take out her braids first, because washing with them still in was exactly what made them frizzy and fall out. So afterwards she would have to leave her mane with out braids or find a two legger, but she was fairly sure there weren't any around here.

They approached the water. Tiffany leaned down to take a drink, it was cool and clean. Exactly what she needed.

"Now. Get in. Wash. Scrub. Don't just get wet. Lean over and scrub every section of yourself. It will make your fur shine like it should. Whip your tail around and catch it in your mouth then use your teeth to comb through it. Tails MUST be untangled, because then when you flick it around it will look horrid.

She had almost forgotten the question the mare had asked. "My name?" she said, wondering if angels gave out their names. It didn't matter much, though. "Tiffany. The most beautiful and amazing mare in all the land" she added, just to make things clear.

Most wouldn't fall for the angel deal, if Tiffany ever tried to play it off. It just so happened that the spoiled mare caught Attie at a bad time, deep in thought and slightly upset, so she'd believe anything to get some happiness. And the mare was right about her following for that's exactly what she did, rather close too. One cannot be too careful when around a guardian angel. Heck! She didn't even think those exsisted but if this mare insisted she was one....then she was.

Upon approaching the river the yellow mare trotted over to the bank and unlike her guardian angel, she didn't drink it. Rather tipped over and looked at her expression. Maybe after today that expression would forever change. "Alright...I...uh..." She began, and slowly walked into the river that was pretty much knee deep. It took a few seconds, but Abattie quickly got the hang of scrubing her whole body, and did it rather quickly until looking up at Tiffany. She was utterly pleased with herself. The way the bright sun shone on her own yellow coat made her look like the sun itself. Perhaps this was good enough for her Guardian Angel. When the time came to clean her tail and mane, she stopped.

"How do I comb a braided tail? And I'm not taking my braids out, I haven't seen I've gotten them since I have no way to put them back." The small mare protested, not even a mare like Tiffany could get her to do that. And she didn't even ever flick her tail around! It usually always stayed in place...

"Tiffany is a pretty name, but if you call yourself the prettiest mare, wouldn't you be the prettiest mare in all of heaven and earth since you are an angel? Oh, and I'm Abattie." She was unaware of how perfect her words were.

Damn mood changes.

Tiffany watched as the mare went in, following her orders, for the most part. This angel thing really WAS great. Others listened to her with out question, more so then they had before, at least! Ah yes, this was it. Truly what she was MEANT to do. Help others in her most angelic way.

"Good. Good. But the tail and mane MUST be braided!" she said. Perhaps if Tiffany tried hard enough she could maneuver the hair to make it braided again? No, that would be FAR too much work. She was the guardian angel, not the servant angel. "If you want it to look nice, you can't leave it in those braids forever" she added.

Tiffany began to glare a bit at the mare, who suddenly decided to contradict her. Tiffany was TRYING to help her, but she certainly wasn't going to waste her time with someone who didn't want to be helped at all.

"Oh. Yes. Heaven and earth" she said, unsure of what other angels were in Heaven. But certainly they couldn't be any prettier than Tiffany, because she was the prettiest EVER. So if the angel ever existed, it never stood a chance. if that made any sense at all. "How luck you are to meet me, Abattie" she said, look at the golden mare. She had done a nice job cleaning her coat, at least.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 30, 2007 7:27 pm

Help others? Now normally Tiffany wouldn't technically be helping another. Heck, she still wasn't even though Attie didn't know the truth. If anything the prissy mare was only making the younger mare ponder herself and could in fact drive her deeper into her emotions.

"No! I won't undo my braids. I can't, you can't make me!" She suddently regretted yelling at her 'guardian angel' but if that's what it took to make the mare not undo her perfect hair then it was worth it. "I can look nice with the same braids ma'am. Tiffany."

And Abattie stared back, trying to make (and hoping) her way be good for this beautiful mare. Surely she didn't undo her hair every so often! It would be a hassel trying to put her hair back up. "Really then?" The mare chirped up, wondering why she'd consider herself prettier than everything! "And yes I am lucky but you are my guardian angel, right? So then I'm not really lucky because you were assigned to me!"

Tiffany took a deep breath. This stupid mare! Why must she not listen? Tiffany gave simple orders. If she was Attie's guardian angel, then doesn't that mean the mare was supposed to do EVERYTHING Tiffany said with out question?

"You stupid ugly twit!" she said, angry now. "You WILL take out those braids. You WILL listen to me. Or would you rather just be as pathetic and horrible as you were?" she said, enraged that, once again, a pathetic lowerling didn't appreciate her hard work to better the world.

"No, you ARE lucky. Because I am the BEST angel. You should be HONORED to get me. But you just don't listen. Maybe I don't want to be your angel anymore?" she hissed, looking to the side. Certainly that would convince her!

Kiefer's ear's pricked upwards. He heard something. Screaming. Someone was quite angry, screaming about...braids and angels? He wasn't much of the type to go looking for trouble. But curiosity got the best of him.

He walked towards the noise, it was obviously a female voice. He squinted, in the distance he could vaguely make out the two. The one screaming was on the bank of the river, pure white with blond hair. The one getting screamed at was a golden mare, in the water. He looked harder. Couldn't be. Could it? He cantered toward them.

Yellow eyes continued to glare, the thought of taking out her beautifully braided mane was horrid. It even, as was expected, brought tears to the mare's eyes. She couldn't make her do it, she wouldn't! It wasn't fair this guardian of hers was making her feel terrible. Instead of bringing up her spirits, she brought them down. And Tiffany's next words only made the obvious more clear.

"I don't care if I was pathetic or horrible! I least I have a heart unlike you! You're not my guardian angel are you? Because if you were then you'd be trying to make me feel better about myself! You shouldn't call me an ugly twit!" Attie yelled as loud as she could, and quickly got out of the water-staring still. That mare was going to get what was coming to her!

"Liar! You're not good, even if you were an angel. You suck at your job!" Now the yellow mare was crying, tears streaming down her cheeks like a waterfall. The blurred figure of a stallion came into view and it was the only thing that gave Abattie her strength to do what she wanted to do. If the stallion saw, maybe he'd give her attention! (She was too upset to notice the coloring).

So Attie, still crying, had walked towards the mare and kicked her as hard as she possibly could, right in the knee. If there was one thing Amoena taught her, that was how to be a fighter.

Tiffany smiled "Oh, how stupid of you! I may not be an angel, but I am certainly close enough! Then again, ANYONE would look like an angel standing next to YOU! I'm giving you ADVICE to make you better. I'm not going to lie to you and tell you that you are good looking, darling, because that would be cruel" she said, shaking her head, "Aww, someone a cry baby?" she taunted.

The grin slowly faded as the mare, seemingly in pieces, came closer. She had such a look in her eyes...what was she intending? Tiffany eyed her, moving backwards a bit, but it was too late. The little twit KICKED her!

"OWWW! OW OW OW OW OWWWW!" she screamed, falling to the ground, cringing in pain. "YOU LITTLE UGLY THING! NOBODY WILL EVER LIKE YOU WITH YOUR UGLY MANE AND UGLY TAIL AND-"

"DON'T EVER TALK ABOUT MY SISTER THAT WAY" yelled Kiefer, putting his hoof on top of her head, pinning it to the ground, then looking to Abattie "Don't listen to her, Attie. She is stupid. You are amazing" he said reassuringly, then released the witch-horse.

"It's nice to see you, Attie, despite the..." she glared down at Tiffany "Ugly circumstances" he hissed. The stallion felt so much rage towards the pretty white mare. Who would be so heartless as to say such things about Abattie? Sweet, innocent Abattie! She would never say such things about another, and didn't deserve such words.[

He nuzzled his sister, trying to keep himself from trampling the horrible thing. His instincts told him too, but he knew that it would probably upset Attie even more. Or make her happy. But he didn't want to risk it. Right now he just needed to console her.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 05, 2007 4:59 pm

That was it, she was done. All that needed to be done was obviously a tiny kick and that annoying mare would rip her head off. The yellow mare stared helplessly at Tiffany as she yelled, wondering what would happen next. Tears continued to pour down her cheek, as if it was the last time she'd ever be able to cry.

But then what happened next was completely unexpected. Abattie was about to open her mouth and taunt the mare back, that was, until the stallion's voice rang out.

Sister....?

Kiefer! Oh, wow what a wonderful surprise to a not to wonderful moment. The small mare grinned at him and watched as he pinned Tiffany to the ground. "Oh, don't hurt her Kiefer...I..." She began, but let her voice trail. There was no use. That mare would just yell even more.

Tears welled up, trying to come out but Attie didn't want to cry in front of her brother. It made her seem weak, and she wasn't weak. "You too, hun. It's been a while." She managed to squeek out, and returned the nuzzle half-heartedly. At least he was here now, so this 'angel' mare couldn't get in the way.

Tiffany scrambled upwards, completely enraged. The sides of her head were covered in dirt, and so was some of her body. Ruined, completely. Stupid, horrible, ungrateful things! All she ever did was HELP others. She took a deep breath, putting on her very-best angry face.

"Maybe I will STOP helping UGLY things like you. I mean, I thought you might not be hopeless, but now I see you ARE. I guess your looks are alright, but it's your PERSONALITY that turns everyone off. You are a stupid cry baby. Who would EVER want to be with a stupid ugly annoying cry b-"

The horrid golden stallion kicked her. "YOU HORRIBLE BRUTE! JUST BECAUSE YOUR SISTER IS THE MOST DISGUSTING..." another kick. Tiffany's leg looked a bit swollen. She shut her mouth.

Kiefer was quite glad that his sister had kicked the mare before. And he had to admit, it was quite satisfying. In fact, he was considering having a few more goes at it.

It gave him comfort, though. She could take care of herself. But then again, he was glad he had been here. It wasn't that Attie couldn't have handled it, but it is always better to have somebody on your side. And this mare seem to be horrible to an extraordinary level.

He nuzzled his sister back. "I wonder how we can get rid of this wench, so we can catch up, hmm? Do you think some mud-splattering will be in order?" he asked playfully, eying a bit of mud near the river.
