No one knew where they came from. All of a sudden, the normally-unadorned rooftop of the Church of Mod became, well, occupied. First, there was one. But more came soon after. Modists asked around, wondering who put them there, but nobody could answer this.
They are easily visible by day. Arranged in their same positions on the rooftop, they somehow have a lifelike quality to them. As if they are not stone at all, but merely sleeping. And at sundown, people have claimed to hear noises coming from the roof, but these are quickly dismissed as delusions.
Their likeness to current members of the Church remains a mystery. Coincidence, some say. An omen, reply others.
Whatever the case, their numbers continue to grow. Where once was a relatively bare rooftop, they stand. Protectors of the Church.

The Church RooftopThe ExplanationA while ago, I had it in my head to draw the members of the Church as Disney-style Gargoyles. Not the lame stone busts of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, but the amazing 90s animated series that was run on ABC after school. However, my art skills are rather lacking. So I set out to find an artist to be able to do this. I had commissioned Lucca Ashtear before, and was quite pleased with her work. Especially her avatar edits. Recently, she has created a set of wings that inspired me to bring my idea up with her. She was intrigued. So I will be ordering, one by one, avatar edits of the members of the Church as Gargoyles. The funds for this project are coming out of my own pocket; however, any donations towards these edits are very much welcome. OrderingIf you would like to see yourself Gargoyle'd, I do need the following information. Avatar Reference: If you want the Gargoyles-standard loincloth, I need this to be a naked reference. If you want specific clothing, give me references. Username: Self-explanatory Skin Color: Ditto Hair Color: Likewise Wings: Either Demonic (will be colored with skintone) or Angelic (can be colored to look like bird wings) Wingclaws (Demonic only): Single or Triple Clothing: Whatever you want. Really. Gargoyles-standard is a belted loincloth, but you can be wearing whatever. Within reason. Pants are tricky, because of the oversize feet and the tail, but a large overcoat (Inquisitors, anyone?) will certainly work. Dude. DUDE. I LOVED Gargoyles. We have the first DVD. I came up with, like, four different characters when I was kid. Man. I have to get one. I'll donate all the gold I have to you. Username: Ruevian Skin Color: dark grey Hair Color: white Wings: Demonic Wingclaws (Demonic only): Triple Clothing: Standard top, but black (or dark grey, whatever's easiest). Simple, tight trousers of the same color, cutting short mid-calf, as seen here.Any other items: I'd like horns like the female OC in this picture. I'd also like the tip of the tail to be like a spade...essentially, a devil tail.
