 One Mississippi.
Two Mississippi.
Three...
Epesi counted slowly in head, up to about the number ten and she opened those pretty copper colored eyes of hers. "Ready or not! Here I come!!!"
A simple game of hide and go seek with the neighboring racoons never hurt a soul, right? It wasn't as if she was playing with soquili, and others who thought of her as immature could mock her. Long black (and white) legs had zoomed off in the direction of the forest-that were the rules. She told the little guys that only the forest was available to hide in, so that way they didn't go running off toward God knows where!
The mare giggled as she ran, looking for the sight or sound of those creautres-anything white would do. This was her game and she was going to win, darnit!
But in the back of her mind, the mare couldn't help but think about other soquili. There weren't many out there that actually liked her save her parents, siblings and Avaru, but she wanted something else.
Someone...like her perhaps!

The spotted stallion walked aimlessly around, kicking softly at the grass as he went. Spotty could find no one to play with. It seemed like all the other horses were just lying around or simply didn't want to play. But Spotty wasn't like that, he had way too much energy to be lying around. "I don't think I've played tag in ages!" Spotty groaned lifting his head towards the sky.
It soon became obvious to Spotty that he wouldn't find a playmate in the meadow. So he decided to search else where for something to do. There had to be someone who would play or just run around with him.
Nearing the forest, Spotty heard the faint sound of laughter. There must be someone in there! the stallion told himself as he began to make his way through the forest.

She had stopped her merrymacking to listen to the obvious sound of someone walking toward her. Holding her guard up, as she learned from past experienced, the some-what odd mare dashed her head around from side to side.
Who would approach her now? Rather, who would WANT to? A silly young, nothing special type of mare playing a stupid game of hide and go seek, and know she was going to meet someone new!
Of course, part of Epesi's brain was excited, the other part was afraid that it could turn out to be someone what wanted to harm her!
"Who's there?" She finally called out, forgetting all about the racoons in hiding.

Surprised by the sudden voice of the mare, Spotty stopped in his tracts. The forest was full of trees and Spotty found himself confused. He coudn't see the mare yet, but by the sound of her voice, she had to be close by. Spotty could also sense a bit of fear in her voice. The last thing the stallion wanted to do was scare away a potential friend.
He began to slowly make his way towards where he heard the mare's voice. "Hello?" Spotty called out before stepping out from behind a tree to see a golden brown mare in front of him. He was a little surprised by her sudden appearance but decided to greet her.
"I didn't mean to scare you, I'm Spotty Paws." he stated with a smile.

The mare kept her stance, staring all around for the one who had decided to come near her. It took a moment, but when the stallion's voice called back and the figure stepped out from behind the tree, she grinned. Such a colorful and bright stallion!! She especially loved the ornage upon his neck.
Epesi giggled when he greeted her with his own name, such a gentleman! Of course, all the stallion's she met weren't bad at all but one never knew when something terrible could happen! "Ooh, well hellow Spotty Paws! I'm Epesi it's a grand pleasure to meet such as yourself. You're so colorful, bright and wow, I envy that coat! Of course I'm not saying that I'm not happy with myself because I'm perfectly content with my own color but yours is just so beautiful!"
She stopped herself and thought about how forward and awkward that might be for the stallion, but shrugged it off. It was her, if he didn't like it....
"Oh, and don't worry about scaring me! I get scared pretty often because I never really know when you could be a Kalona or Skinwalker wanting to eat me!"

Spotty smiled back at the mare, she was very cheery and upbeat. "Why thank you, it's always nice to meet someone who likes my colors. It seems that they can drive away some horses. But I do adore your natural tones." The stallion said looking at Epesi's brown and orange coat. Sometimes it was a burden to be colorful. Spotty always seemed to lose at hide and seek. But Spotty didn't mind, he liked being able to stand out.
"I wouldn't ever want to go face to face with a Kalona either." he joked cheerfully. "If you aren't doing anything else, would you like to play a game? I'll let you choose the game."
