Christian received a note stating that his child had arrived, and he set off almost immediately. It wasn't like it was a far walk, he'd had the few things he needed to move in, (clothes, movies, ect.) and he'd been in the process of painting the apartment so it wasn't so bland, when he got the urge to check the mail.
To say Christian was eager was a bit of a stretch. He was downright anticipating the child's arrival. So when the note had came, he went upstairs long enough to set it down, and locked the apartment up, before going down to pick up his child from the same building he'd first met Nikita in. Good place as any to pick up the kid, right?
He walked through the grassy area, and into the hallway that contained the mailboxes, and he walked right past those to the entry hall. If he had gone to the wrong place, then perhaps someone could point things out. But, y'know. Best place to start, at least. And boy, was he ready to start.

Christian had, indeed, gone to the correct place; this was where Nikita always waited for the guardans to arrive. Many guardians hadn't moved in yet by this point, so this was the most logical place to wait.
Today, Nikita sat at the desk, tapping away at his laptop; the only addition to the room that was out of the ordary, was the green-haired boy also in the room: Dorian. Although he didn't actually have a name yet.
Nikita seemed very tired; in fact, he was in the middle of a yawn when Christian entered the room.

"Someone sounds tired." Christian grinned as he came into the room, looking right over at Nikita, since he'd given away his spot with that yawn. "You look exhausted. Things okay?" He asked, always friendly. Nikita definitely gave off the shy vibe, and that was never fun.
Dorian pushed his glasses up quietly, and looked up at the man who entered, frowning curiously. He sniffed, and the man's scent hit his nose almost instantly. Light, he was apparently careful about keeping himself clean. And... different. He frowned, trying to figure out what he smelled like. To the Sylph who'd just recently gained a body, this was the most unique scent since...well....
Nikita.
"Is this him?" Dorian asked quietly, looking over at Nikita and watching him with those big brown eyes, through his lenses. He was lucky, his sight wasn't so bad now that he couldn't make out things. Things were a tad blurry without his glasses, but for now, it was livable.
Poor thing didn't know what it'd be like in the future.
Christian looked over when he heard the voice, and grinned a little. "Hi there." He greeted, walking over. "I'm Christian."
"... Hi." came the mumbled response. Dorian looked down again, blushing a little. This was another shy one.

Offering a small smile to Christian, he nodded in response to the question, "..didn't get much sleep last n-night."
He'd been up late working on some things for Dmitriev. Good grief...he always waited until the last minute to spring stuff like that on Nikita - and then, of course, he expected it all by the next morning. Ugh. One of these days, he'd learn to say no.
Of couse, that was probably also the day he'd get fired.
"Yes, this is your guardian..."
He watched the two, quietly, and found himself smiling to himself; it looked like a good pairing. Dorian seemed like a very sweet boy.
"Oh, ah...have you come up with a name for him?"

Christian nodded to Nikita, and frowned. "You should get some sleep. Or coffee." He grinned. "A nap would probably be better for you though." He mused, amused.
Dorian watched the interaction, and found himself curious. Christian's scent changed when he interacted with Nikita. He wondered why to himself, but didn't have it in him to ask.
When Nikita asked if Christian had come up with a name, he looked sheepish. "I, uh... I actually have a list." He muttered, and looked at Dorian. "But... to be honest, you don't seem to fit any of the names."
Dorian's shoulders fell, and he looked down at his feet. "I'm sorry." He apologized, wiggling his toes a little. Christian blinked, and snorted.
"Don't be, love." He grinned and crouched down in front of him. "... How's Dorian sound to you?"
Dorian looked up, and frowned, thinking about the name. It was a pretty cool name. "... Okay." He gave Christian a shy smile. "I like it." He admitted, looking at Nikita.
"What do you think?" Christian asked, looking over at Nikita and grinning.

Nap...a nap would be nice, wouldn't it? Maybe he would head back to his apartment and take a quick one, once this was done; although, he did still have more work to do...
Perhaps coffee was a good idea, then; he needed to remember to put a coffee machine in here, sometime. "I might make some coffee after this, I suppose..."
Yes, that was best. Otherwise, he'd likely sleep until night - and then his inner clock would be confused. Although if Dmitriev sprang more work on him, then that wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.
Blinking at Christian and the newly-named Dorian, he gave an approving nod, "...g-good. It suits him."

Christian grinned a little, and nodded. He looked at Dorian, amused. "Your bedroom's not decorated yet, I thought you'd like to do that yourself. And we can pick up a couple things." He promised, nodding to him.
Dorian nodded, and scooted off his chair, walking over in front of Nikita and looking up at him around his laptop. "I guess I'm going now." He said, watching Nikita. "But I'll see you around?" He asked, frowning a little at him. It'd be weird not to, honestly.
Christian smiled a little. "Sure you will, Dorian." He said, touching the top of his head and toying with the green hair. Dorian sniffed at him, grumbling, and scooted away from Christian, fixing his hair. Not like it was much of an improvement, it was a right mop to begin with!
"You could come and see us when you're not working, right?" Dorian smiled at Nikita, lighting up a little. "It's not far, it's just in one of the buildings." He even added, grinning.
Christian laughed a little. "Looks like you've got a buddy." He grinned at Nikita, amused. It'd probably be good for Nikita to have a little buddy around. Even if it did get annoying.

Nikita smiled down at Dorian, and gave him an affirmative nod. The poor kid was probably scared...but it was understandable. The first people he met - the mages who had made him human - were always exhausted when they finished, and had no doubt been rather brusque. The first person to be more then businesslike with the kid was him.
And now, he was going with - to him - a complete stranger; it was understandable that he'd be nervous. So, he made a mental note to come visit Dorian at some point.
"Mm, I'll c-come see you, Dorian."
The blonde let out a quiet chuckle at Christian's comment.

Dorian's face split into a wide grin when Nikita had said he'd come see him, and he nodded quietly, turning and looking at Christian. "'Kay." was all he said, though Christian took it to mean he was alright with going with him now.
He looked at Nikita, and grinned. "You know where the apartment is, whenever you want to visit. I'm going to take him to go get a couple things for his room, though, and... check on my bookstore." Christian looked sheepish; he really didn't trust the man he'd set up for his replacement. As much as he might love Nicodemus, he wasn't... adversely friendly.
He was a fighter, not a friend.
"We're allowed to leave?" That struck Dorian for a bit of a shock. He'd gotten the impression, from how everything smelled so... professional... that he'd be stuck on the compound with whoever else that lived there. Leave? Go outside the walls? ... He wondered what it'd smell like out there.

"Oh, yes..."
Nikita hadn't considered that the Sylph might not realize he could leave - not permanently of course, but for short times it was fine. And while he wondered about the comment of checking on his bookstore - was it that busy?
"There's a lot out there, too: stay c-close to Christian, hm?"
Gaia never seemed like the safest place in the world for a young child, so he thought that suggestion would be a good idea.

"I will." came the quiet reply, Dorian glancing back at Nikita with those big brown eyes and smiling quietly. Then he looked at Christian. Going out there sounded like quite an adventure, Dorian could feel little bugs stirring in his tummy already.
Christian smiled at Nikita. "Try not to work yourself into a grave, alright Nikita?" He put a hand on Dorian's shoulder, to steer him to the door. Dorian's shoulder slumped under the hand, and he blinked up at him, then got it.
He shot a grin over to Nikita, small but still obviously grinning, and went over to Nikita, holding his hand out since a hug might be much. "I'll see you around, Nikita." He said quietly, smiling at him.
Christian went to the door leading out of the compound and onto the busy streets, and waited for Dorian, smiling a little. It was kind of nice, all domestic with a kid. ... Sort of, anyway.

Work himself into a early grave...yeah, that was probably likely. Wait - what would happen if the body died? It wasn't his, so did that mean that he would just...revert to immaterial form until he could acquire a new one?
With a bit of effort, he pushed those disturbing thoughts aside.
Nikita blinked down at Dorian, and shifted his gaze to the hand. Was...he wanting to shake hands? A little kid wanted to shake hands with him? That seemed so strange.
Uncertain of how to respond, he reached out and shook the offered hand, feeing a sting in his hand, as the bandages rubbed.
Then he watched as Dorian, left, still feeling a bit bewildered. But then he shook his head, and called after,
"..have f-fun!"
