The young goddess had gotten restless again. It was some time since she saw her mentor, Mrost, and she hadn't managed to locate any of her aquaintences or friends in a while either. She was half tempted to return home but didn't want Kiva to think that she'd raised a weak daughter, a poser of sorts. Elly had always been rebellious and from almost as soon as she was old enough, shied away from and refused her mother's very sappy shows of affection. Secretly she hadn't minded, and secretly she missed it now, but as usual she refused to show it on the outside.
That was how she ended up here in the Pridelands, hoping to maybe run into her old playmate, Wahabu, though by now he had to be bigger. She wondered how much faster he grew than she did actually. She was going through changes, but she wasn't as big as some others yet, yet still pretty big for her age. She was moving into her juvenille days rather nicely. ((Since she would've probably just hit Juve. by the time he was still a cub?))
She wondered if she'd shape up to be a goddess that War, Mrost, could be proud of or not. He was more of a father in her eyes than the male her mother had taken as a mate, and inwardly she still felt resentment for her own biological father, for not being around.
She'd abandoned flying in favor of moving by foot, wanting to see if she could spot him by scent, but instead she had come by a younger scent, that of a cub nearby. Maybe she'd make a new aquaintence instead...

"Bye Dad, I'll be back later after!" The cub called back to the fading figure of a larger male disappear down along the dirt path he sat upon. The day was still young and the father-son duo had overslept that way which postponed their daily morning runs to the border and back. So today they did the same, but got distracted by the faces of those that would normally be asleep. Upon the border, they had met an old friend, his Uncle Moto'Vianzio. Needless to say, that became the major distraction from their usual runs.
The cub had not met Moto'Vianzio, preferred Trigger, since he was younger. His neck has grown a bit more itchy since and today he was told that it was only natural that he would have to get used to it. Curiousity made him ask why which he only got a laugh as a reply. But seriously, why was his neck becoming itchy?
Crimson eyes glanced around the Pride Land's vast savanna in it's golden-green glory. His home. With a smile he thought of what to do for the day. Meet up with Safuma and take her somewhere fun? Secretly meet with the hyena Ophos? Seek out that oh so clever Matisho? Hang out with the duo of Pambuako and Hiari'leji? He seem to cannot make up his mind. Since he was forbiddened to go near the border without an adult escort that his father trusted, he was stuck to wander the Pride Lands.
Walking about, trying to find someone to talk to or just be with for a while, his mind whirled questioning what he had recently learned about his name. Its meaning.
"God's Will Strengthens"
Rumors circulated about those on a higher plane than those of the mortals, even the Royals themselves! He had met the Goddess of the Lost. He remembered how she flew through the sky, casting her shadow upon him during their race, how her wonderous wings fanned out on her flanks. Those feathers... were they what made the Gods special? He was curious... he had to find one some time and ask them personally.
Or that some time was now.
A scent, faintly similar to Mwokoti's, wafted through the air. Looking around, he was not sure if he was downwind or if this scent was just close by. Where was it comeing from? He had to find it...

Elly suddenly stopped mid walk as the scent changed directions. She could tell because it suddenly went from being faint, to being stronger, moving her way quicker now. She narrowed her eyes and tried to place it, tried to see if she could sense what kind of creature was headed her way as Mrost had taught her to do. She sensed no magic, so it couldn't be a god, so, another mortal, but obviously he'd noticed her.
So she waited, the wild mohawk of fur atop her head rustling faintly in the breeze tickling her whiskers and face, and she didn't bother trying to hide her wings. She saw no reason to exert herself when he was heading her way already. Her tail lashed about curiously where she stood, and when he came within viewing range Chamchela tilted her head curiously. His pelt was colored similar to that of the royal bloodline, was he related somehow?

His crimson blood eyes, most likely inherited from the father of the pride's bloodline, Mohatu or even further to Ahadi. He knew a lot about the Pride Lands, but he knew little about his own blood line just like his father. With a few passing glances, they fixed onto a female who's pelt seemed to blend into the dry grass and the dirt path that ran all over the Pride Lands. Excited, he made his way quickly over to her.
"Hello, there, Miss!" he shouted out, slowing down quickly as he approached closer. "Name's Ezekiel, call me Zeki please. Would you be so kind to give me your name?"
Zeki smiled sweetly to her, innocent and harmless smile. He was a splitting image of his father, both action and appearance. The only differences were that he had a muzzle sock, eye shadows, red eyes, and the marks on his body. Okay, that is a few things, but they looked strikingly similar. He looked her over, taking in her wings, her strange tail, her 'mane', and the strange object she wore around her neck. Catching himself staring, he snapped his attention back to her, smiling.
"Forgive me for being so rude for staring, but I could not help but stare at that interesting trinket of yours," he thought for a moment. Would he be so bold to announce her as a Goddess? Oh he would. "Seeing as you have wings of a Goddess, I could only assume that that necklace has some meaning to your... what was it that they called it... Oh! Domain?"
He chuckled a bit before bowing to her. "Welcome to the Pride Lands, Miss."

One of the girl's eyebrows lifted as if unsure of what to make of his behavior. She really only knew two lions in her lifetime to be this proper, besides her mother. Ororo'lisani, and Mteuli, who was one of her mother's priests. Huh.
"I'm too young to be a miss." Elly informed, amused, but not without a bit of snark. "Zeki, huh?"
As per usual, Chamchela didn't waste a moment in moving to circle the slightly smaller youth, stopping in front of him again slowly as if deciding he'd passed some unannounced inspection. It was just a habit of hers, and she liked to see how well new faces sized up, or if they were easily intimidated like some smaller creatures. It was a bit sadistic, but amusing to her, and not at all wrong in her young eyes though she'd been told many times it was considered rude and a hostile sign.
"My name is Elly. It's... short for Chamchela, but I prefer just Elly. What are you doing this far out? Don't you live at Pride Rock? You're colored like them lions related to the queen. You related?"
She refrained from correcting him, or announcing that this was actually her second or third return to these lands. She didn't care to be right about it, and it didn't really make a difference.

"Actually, I learned that anyone who is not mated and a young female, such as yourself, should be called Miss. I guess I can just call you 'Elly' if that is your preference," he replied, talking to this Goddess with the respect of that of one higher than him and a female. He had to respect females, it was part of his code. He had no problem with it, he did it on habit anyways.
Usually, he would take glances and that was it for taking in another's image. Their scent was all he needed and he got that when he met them first. Elly seemed like a young Goddess, her size was a dead giveaway, but she was still a Goddess and those were something powerful. He had met a total of two in his life; The Goddess of the Lost and the Goddess of the Deserts. The Goddess of the Lost was really nice, helping him when he had lost his faith in his father, his mental image of him. The Goddess of the Desert was the most rude and defensive female he had ever met... She must have had her reasons.
"I don't entirely live on the Pride Rock, my family lives at a den a was off so we can just go back and forth in a matter of moments. As far as I know, I am not related to the royal family. I would have to actually talk to my father about htat some.... other.... time..."
He found himself staring at her wings again, something about them was intriguing...

"Oh... well it's not a big deal. I just wondered." Elly admitted, frowning at his staring before turning her head to her side, following his eyes. Oh, yeah. Well, he was also the first mortal to openly take intrest in her extra appendages. Elly liked them quite a bit, loved them actually, but tried to act as if they weren't anything special. She didn't WANT to sound like a concieted idiot, after all.
She spread them out a little bit so he could get a better look, revealing that they actually looked to have little individual dirt storms going on every other feather or so.
"Do you like 'em?" She asked, for the first time in the presence of a stranger sounding even the slightest bit hesitant. She didn't really care if she was different (or so she told herself), but she definitely wouldn't like it if someone were to verbally go after her wings.

"Nah, it's alright. I guess I could just call you Elly if you prefer that. I guess calling a Goddess 'Miss' would be somewhat of an insult," he smiled at least that was until she frowned. He watched her move in the direction of his gaze. Spreading the wings were what could have been the only thing that would have made his day worth the while.
"Wow, Elly, those are beautiful! I mean, those feathers look so smooth and so clean. You must have taken care of them really well," he complimented, eying them ever so carefully, taking in the wings carefully knowing he would not see them again for some time to come.
"You must use them a lot, gone anywhere interesting?" Zeki could only imagine where this Goddess has gone with those wings of her. After all, she has to go to different places if her powers dictated so. At least that was the case of Mwokoti, she had to go to those were lost and help them. Was Elly the same?

To the first part, Elly just shrugged, not having meant to cause him second guessing, but not really thinking anything of it either. However he wanted to reason it, that was his choice.
She smiled, actually smiled more than grinned for once, young enough yet that the expression came naturally without the burden of serious hardships. "Thanks. But, not really anywhere special... The waterfalls and the desert were the coolest places I've ever been, everywhere else is really kind of the same. Except for here." She smirked, motioning with a partial jerk of her head towards Pride Rock. "The best is jumping from something like that and just letting yourself fall. I wish I could show you."

"I have never seen a waterfall before, but I have seen the desert and I don't want to go back... The Goddess of the Desert forbid me to..." he murmured. He was not even that close to the border that day, in fact that was as close to the border he has ever gotten without his father. The Goddess seemed to appear out of thin air spewing threats and warnings. He did not know what he did wrong when she repeated said that he was not welcomed in the desert. He was still in the Pride Lands by then.
"Actually, I would love to see that too. We could go there if you like, but I am not sure if the Pride Landers would like having a Goddess around. Well, maybe that will stir some talk if you went..." he paused. He was afraid the members of the Pride would pester the God about things if she went into the Pride.
He really wanted to see her wings in action. Her feathers looked a lot different than the feather he had from Mwokoti, the Goddess of the Lost. Hers were smaller, but they were still a feather of a Goddess. He found himself staring once again.

"Pffft. Some goddess, threatened by a little cub." Elly sneered, then looked to Zeki again quickly in apology, though it was a gruff expression at best. "--No offense."
She quickly amended.
"Seems kind of weird someone'd be so damn touchy about a bunch of shifting dirt. Well anyway, if you stick with me we can go all the way to the top. My mom is best friends with Queen Kamilika, so we're welcome here all the time!" She said proudly, smirking as her feathers and fur ruffled up a bit sub-conciously.

"None taken, Elly, not everyone is kind and not everyone's appearance is as it seems to be. For all you know, I could not even be a Pride Lander but some evil lion pretending to be one to get inside the Royal family," his voice was a bit lofty at the bit about a guise lion cub. He was Pride Lander through and through, blood was thick of the land's life, a mix of the pride that resided in the very desert he was scared away from in there too. "I am what I am, I am the son of Ger and Trina, a part of the Pride Landers. If they didn't except me as one, then so be it, at least I would still love my home."
He smiled.
"Sure thing, I have not much else to do so spending some time with you will be something interesting. Any friends of Aunty Kami is a friend of mine," he purred.
"Hey, Elly, I know a Goddess, the Goddess of the Lost, why is she called "of the Lost"? Do you have something like that too? Is that some sort of power you have or something?" If he knew the powers that Mwokoti had, he would have some idea what may be inside of the feather. To his belief, the feather of a God contained some sort of power, an essence of them if you would. But that was just a cub's innocent imagination. Least, he will believe that until told otherwise until the notion is strong in his mind. Believing his name to be true as "God's Will Strengthens" that it is the Gods that will help him grow strong in the sense of his Code. Strong to be a good male. Strong to be able to protect his home. Strong enough to protect the Royals. Strong enough to protect those close to him.
.... "Should we go?"

He didn't have to ask her twice, Elly was already moving in the direction of Pride Rock now.
She shrugged lightly at his question, never having heard of or met this goddess of the Lost, but she could answer the second.
"It must be her domain then. That means she's in charge of people who are lost. Just like I'm in charge of tornados, and my brother's in charge of clouds... n' my sister is in charge of loyalty." Elly made a bit of a face at this, recalling her goody two shoe sibling, though she didn't dislike her. It was a bad girl versus good girl thing, that was all. "People call my mom the goddess of Unity, or something. I don't know what my dad was called. But that's how it goes."

He tried his best to keep at her pace trying not to be rude to her by walking faster or too slow. He watched her intently as she spoke and took them off of her to see exactly where he was going, what was in front of him.
"So then Gods, excuse my use of... well, I know there are Gods and Goddesses, please excuse me using the shorter term. But, the Gods' "domains" reflect their powers? If Mwokoti's domain was "lost" and so then her powers must be like finding lost people or helping them get out of being lost like what she did for me," the more his mind wrapped around the ideas of the Gods and their powers, he could not help but think about their relationship to his name... He was told that he was named after his Uncle Ezeoha, but Zeki believed that the Gods have something to do with him. Destiny? Fate? or just a Cub's imagination.
"So a Goddess of Tornadoes, I would guess that you could control the wind or something to make them? Have you ever-I mean-used them for anything bad?"

Another shrug as they walked, Elly's stare on the ground ahead, it didn't make Elly a difference either way if he preferred one term to the other.
"That's the way I get it. I've never seen any other gods use their power, well, besides my grandpa. He uses his all the time, but he has to wear those stupid bracers like I used to wear when I was little, so he doesn't hurt someone or something. He's the god of Strength."
And her grandmother the goddess of Sacrifice, yet another goddess whose powers were a mystery to Chamchela. Even Mrost's powers were a huge question. How would you make a physical trait of War, Loyalty, or Sacrifice? Mom said that some of the gods existed simply to represent their powers, but Elly wasn't all that sure she believed it. They probably just had lame powers and were hiding the fact.
"I've never used my powers for anything serious..." She grudgingly admitted. "My mother used to always tell me not to." She scowled. "Because I might hurt someone." But Mrost had encouraged her to do so, simply with caution. Tornadoes could serve no other purpose but their own, could they? So, did that make her a destructive force, of sorts? Was that her only purpose?
