I have been wanting to do something like this since reading the last Harry Potter books. One of what, you may ask? A Harry Potter/Yugioh crossover. It's going to take place before the fifth book. I know that most of the Yugioh characters are in the 16-17 age range, but they're going to be going into their fifth year, just so they can have it a bit easier, and not be with a group who has already taken their O.W.L.S. (Plus, I like the number five, and I didn't want Snuffles to be dead.)
Please have knowledge of the Harry Potter books (the movies aren't very good in informing you of this kind of thing) and of Yugioh (even though you're in this guild and should already know that).

Voldemort is growing frustrated after Harry Potter escaped, and knows that he must think of something that Dumbledore would never expect. He had his servants search for anything that may aid him, and there is a brief reference to seven magical items of ancient Egyptian background that just might be what he needs.
Whether Dumbledore knew of Voldemort's discovery or had just discovered a new source of potential magic in Japan, it's almost impossible to tell. But he sends an owl to some teens he knows might prove their worth in his school of witchcraft and wizardry. Addressed to the exact room of where the teens were, the headmaster asks to have a private meeting with each of them to explain the situation and try to get them into his school.

Follow the guild and Gaia's rules. No cybering, nothing past PG-13, all that.
There will be NO made-up characters in Domino. You may be allowed to have a made-up Hogwarts character, as long as I approve of it, but nobody related/linked in any kind of way to the Yugioh characters. I may allow some links to Hogwarts characters, but very few.
PM me when you wish to join, and please include a roleplay sample.
Stay in character. This goes for Yugioh characters, Hogwarts characters, and your original characters.
Unless someone says they specifically want to be a certain teacher, I think if would be okay for you to take partial control over a professor during class or something.
Yamis and hikari are together in this roleplay.
If you have multiple characters, it is a good idea to have separate text colors for them. This is not required, but it does help some of the time.

As of yet, the roleplay hasn't exactly started. However, if you start as a Yugioh character, you can either post them receiving the letter from Dumbledore, delivered via owl, or have them considering meeting him in the park, as he said. Keep in mind that no matter how great a wizard Dumbledore is, he cannot be everywhere at once, so if someone else is meeting with Dumbledore, kindly wait until they are finished.

(( Well, he has dealt with the millennium items, even though he was never a direct wielder of one =). But anyone from yu-gi-oh should be playable, as having just a direct four wouldn't really be fair to those who prefer other characters. The story doesn't really need to make that much sense, as it just needs to be fun for other participants, you know? ))

(( Heh, I'm anxious to get this going, so I'll just start xD;; ))
"Hey Dad! Did you get the mail yet?!" A blonde hair boy yelled anxiously from upstairs in his tiny room, leaning against his chair to look out of his room and down the stairs to wait for a response. Nothing. "Hey dad?!" He yelled once more, his face twisting in to a look of confusion and dismay as there was yet to be a reply.
Sighing, the blonde stood up from his chair and proceeded out through the door to go find out what was taking his father so long with the response. Maybe he was outside or was too busy to notice, but, however, the boy's question was answered as soon as he reached the bottom stair. Of course he wasn't busy, as his father never was, and of course he was not outside, his father didn't take a step outside till it was night, and only if he was feeling up to it. Laying sprawled out on the tiny couch that occupied the very small and empty living room was his father, an almost empty beer bottle swaying lazily from his hand as it swung like a clock from the side of the couch.
The blonde could not help but roll his eyes and sigh once more, knowing that he should have already seen this coming. After all, this was Joey Wheeler's life, always has been and always be. Standing at almost six feet and one hundred and thirty-six pounds was Joseph Wheeler, more commonly known as just "Joey" by his friends and classmates. Though his close friends already knew how his life was, Joey still didn't dare talk about it openly, as it wasn't much, in fact, there was hardly a life at all. Just one big, fat drunk of a father who couldn't hold a job to save his life, and has a gambelling problem on top of that which leads Joey to hold a million crappy jobs to save his fathers a**. Yea, some life he had. The only people in this world that he had going for him was his sister, Serenity, who he hardly saw, and his best friends in the entire world. And though to few that wasn't much, it was all Joey needed.
Stepping out of his rather small and cramp apartment out in the open sun, Joey stretched his arms a bit as he walked down to their mail box, hoping it to be full with mail. It has been nearly nine months since Joey Wheeler has last participated in a Duel Monsters tournament, him, the second leading finalist in Duelist Kingdom has not been invited to any tournaments. It certainly surprised him, and at this moment, he was hoping for any invitation to reach his mail box. Opening it up with a soft creak, Joey reached inside and grabbed all of the mail in to his waiting hand, taking one last look inside the mail box to make sure he has grabbed every last letter. Yep, check. Leaning against the mail box casually, Joey began to flip through the mail, sorting out in his mind which was important, which was not, and which was hopefully an invitation to some place nice. Not so surprised, the 'non important' pile was a lot bigger than the 'important' file, and the 'invitation' pile was still empty. Drats.
Heaving a long sigh, Joey turned around to close his mail box and head back to the house, when something caught his eye and made him stop. Inside, leaning carefully against the inside of his mail box, was another letter. Wait, no, that cannot be, he emptied the mail box already, did he? Shifting his head up to look side to side suspiciously, there was no one around to put the letter in, so how did this letter get in there? Raising a curious eyebrow, Joey hesitantly reached inside and grabbed the letter, studying the front of it to read the post address to see who it was from, only there wasn't one. It only had one address on front, right in the middle and written boldly in some kind of expensive ink in fancy hand writing. It didn't even have a stamp or anything. But what really caught his attention was the address; Mr. Joseph Wheeler, The small bedroom on top the stairs, Lexington Street, Domino City.
How did this letter know where his bedroom was?
