The morning was early, the sun just waking up from it's nightly slumber. Dew littered the grass and plants like a soft blanket, making everything shine and sparkle. Morning birds chirped about, fighting to see who got the first worm of the day. Yes, this was a spectacular morning, as the sun began light everything up with such radiance and beauty.
By a clear, babbling brook, a purple mare with a long purple mane and tail quietly took a refreshing drink. Fish flopped about in the water's currents, having a grand ole' time, splashing about in any way that they could. The mare didn't mind, as it merely made her smile to see such happy creatures, especially first thing in the morning.

Shiori tanned quietly in the grass. She listened to the beautiful sounds of the nature and was so glad she was alive, and free. She heard the birds chirp as the morning sun rose, making the entire country glow with its bright light.
As she awoke from her soft sleep, she decided she would go to the small river nearby to have a small drink before going out for breakfast. She also wanted to start on her journey to the mountains, after Samus had inspired her to visit them. He said it may take her about a day, but if she gallopped there after lunch, she may make it in time to be there by dinner. First of all, I need to quench my thirst, she thought to herself.

Getting splashed in the face by one of the fish, the purple mare slightly snorted, her bangs now sticking to her face. It annoyed her, but as everything else seemed all happy this morning, she decided to let it go, continuing to drink on.
Hearing something though, even though it was far off, the mare's ears twisted back slightly, hearing a beat that was new to the ground. She stopped taking her drink for a brief second to listen, trying to figure out what it was. It was big... But not too big. However, it sounded bigger than anything else she had heard this morning. What could it be?

Shiori trotted happily to her favourite drinking place. She passed a few trees which led to the brook. Her eyes met those of a purple mare, also drinking from there. She probably heard me coming. Shiori thought. She gave the mare a warm smile and bent down her head to take a drink. She had met way too many people in the last few days, and wasn't really in the mood to meet others, especially when she needed to rest for a long trip.
Still, she couldn't just ignore the mare. Let me first drink a little, she thought. Then I'll talk with her.
