I'm sure not all manga is like this, but from what I've seen the American is impatient, stupid, and crazy about guns. The British person is calm, cool, and extreamely intelligent. (even being able to teach high school at the young age of 9... >_>)

I bet they like English so much because the British speak it.

Uhm.. I suppose you're right about the Japanese view on the British but I've watched a few ANIME where the Americans were just... Americans.

I certainly know why people hate your country. . .
It has it's highs, and it has it's lows.
Sadly, the Lows are much more vocal, and much more common. >.>

hillbilly's.

See, THAT'S what I'm talking about.

The Japanese are obsessed more with American culture. That was probably just one anime, or a writers view of us.

And we American's do get in a lot of wars... And then you hav hillbilly's.

Wait? Do you mean Americans like the stereotype she's describing? Or Americans like normal people that just happen to be from America?

- [[ You read Manga, not watch it. That's anime. domokun ]] -

- [[ The only anime/manga I've seen that has an American in it that was a complete a*****e was: Yugioh. Bandit Keith. Rebbecca was kind of a snorty brat, but she got better in the series. And Maxmillion Pegasus was weird as hell. ]] -

Yeah, I'm sure that the people don't really think any worse about Americans than anybody from any other place...
I know somebody from Canada that went to a high school in Japan and they were all really cool. She didn't speak Japanese, but she could tell that they weren't making fun of her.

It just seems to me that in manga all the Americans are... just so... stereotypical... gonk

Midori Days: Lucy is blonde, somewhat ditzy, wears underwear that looks like the American flag, and VERY athletic. (Someone even described her as a robot that never gets tired)

Gravitation: I don't read this. But my friend tells me there's an American (Blonde) that is crazy obsessed with guns.

Eyeshield 21: The Americans visiting Japan didn't seem that stupid, but one of the characters was happy to visit America to expand his gun collection.

Yugioh: Bandit Keith (also blonde), he's a villian. Wears a bandana on his head with the American flag on it. I think he also went crazy when Yugi made him shoot himself in the head or something...

It came off to me as being rude too, but perhaps it wasn't meant to be. *shrugs*

You didn't just point it out. You kind of broadcasted it. And you also pointed out the wrong error. Just so you know.

@Neko: They wear the same clothing in Britain as they do in America..
