Death to Blondes

A solid mass of white emerged from dead brush, cool eyes among the rocky mountains that she had just came from. Her head was in an almost perfect right angle aligned with her neck as she walked out into the open field of yellowed grasses. She knew these parts well, only because she knew not many came out here is why she was. Then again she wasn't the social butterfly. It wouldn't make sense anyways for a bi-polar unikalona. Her tri-horns shone in the setting sun, as a deadly crown. A pair of ivory fangs slipped over those ebony equine lips as her crimson stained hooves from her last meal collided with the soft soil of the Earth. Yes it had been a good day. Except for the fact she had to go home, and be civil. Yes, she was most definantly two faced.

Though for one meeting her in the wilderness could never know of the warm heartedness she lent at home for now she was a cold hearted killer. Almost as a deadly weapon, for she was like a child and if someone was more dominant than her she would do anything she said. Like Ares, for example. He kept her in line at home and that is why she stayed but out here there was no Ares and she didn't have to be submissive. This was her turf and she plain and simple liked the way it sounded.

Time growing up with a Father that prefered the dark of night to the bring shine of day had conditioned him to do the same. He had woken not long ago from a nap and sunken black eyes peered around as he wandered. Flexing his wings he tucked them against his back before stretching out his legs. As usual the left front one complained about the extra movement but he ignored it.

Shaking his head to get the black mass of his hair back into place he stepped out of the trees he had been using as shade durring the day he surveyed the scene.

It wasn't his usual grounds but he was in no hurry to return to his Father yet. No, he still had a few more things he needed to do first before the other stallion learned a painful lesson.

Her brow rose as the sun came close to the horizon. Soon the velvet sky would be accompanied with the bright light of the moon and the sparkling of the stars. It would almost be warm if it hadn't been for the dead silence and twisted trees that sprouted from these lands. Tossing her head she felt the tips of her half braided mane whip at her sides. Poor two legger didn't get done, the mare attacked her half way through...but whats done is done and Iztpapalotl wasn't planning on trying to take them out anytime soon. Nor take the iron made spiked collar from around her neck off, no one seemed to know how it got there. For the female had never cared to share. But of most things talking wasn't one for her, unless made to do so.

She wasn't planning on going home tonight. She planned on staying in the wilderness tonight, to roam free, run free and hunt free. There was no need to feel like a dog in a cage. Little did she know she was approaching another, perhaps almost as vicious as she.

The half dead state of the place was starting to grate on his nerves. There wasn't anything worth eating and that meant he wanted to leave it behind him as soon as possible. He couldn't stand the thought of living somewhere like this. He appreciated life if only because it meant that there was some form of life he could take.

As he raised his head he caught a scent that he almost recognized. It was mostly unfamiler but something about it reminded him of two of his family. His lips curled up into a smirk as he stopped. Female. Whatever it was smelt completely different than Mother but there was that lingering bit that said enough.

Flexing his wings he turned toward the wind knowing she had to be in that direction.

She listened to herself breathe, it reassured her that she was still living. In all honesty it kept her sane when she wasn't with someone. Unlike her other counterparts she could deal with others as long as they did not disrespect her and knew there place. Then she would be all to happy to drag them along with her, though they might bring home more bruises than they left with. It's what they bargained for. Her mind was analyzing everything before her. She was looking for the fresh plains. That rabbit wasn't going to cut it for this evening...not at all. But she had to make it out of the desserted lands. The mountains were plentiful and so was where she was going. It was just the in between.

Unknowing that a visitor was downwind from her, she wouldn't know of his prescence until she heard him. And that she did. Her ears flared back as she let out a soft grunt. Her cloved hooves pawed at the ground, almost irritated. He wasn't like the others, he was more like her. She could tell by when she laid her cool blue eyes upon him.

He almost laughed as she pawed the grown upon noticing is presence. As he got closer to her he could see the simaliarities between this mare and his siblings. Two sets of horns but instead of the soft feathering wings his siblings had gotten from Father she sported a leathery set like his own.

He stopped a few lengths from her and waited. Either she would do something completely stupid or she would be intelligent and turn tail. He suspected the former to be the case.

She tilted her head slightly and locked eyes with him, her own an empty abyss. Rolling her catlike eyes she dismissed him as worthy of her prescence. Though the look in his eyes spoke authority she did not fear him. Her spaded tail flicked behind her warning him not to come any closer. She wasn't touchable and she didn't think that he'd leave her alone. She did, however find it amused that no words were spoken thus far. Then again she did not speak unless spoken to. So it all worked out, most of the time.

He laughed, laughed, as she turned away from him. She had come from stupidity then if she would dismiss a predator so easily even being one herself. He would not waste the energy to attack her to prove her idiocy but he would remember it well.

After all her flesh didn't look as if it would be pleasing to the tongue no matter how famished he was. The white reminded him too much of his mother and no matter how sweet Father said her flesh was he didn't want to taste anything like it.

"Do not think of yourself to highly of yourself young stallion." she replied in that bitter sweet tone. Stopping as soon as he laughed. Rude and obnoxious little tyke he was. He really wasn't much bigger than herself. She had lean muscle and she wouldn't be taken for a fool and so she could break her own rules if she so pleased. She didn't bother looking back at him, yet. She had no respect for him and didn't think he deserved it so why bother. Though she was missing the ambrosial taste of blood. It was after all, what kept one living. She almost felt deprived of it. She wasn't going to flee from his prescence however, though it seemed thats what he expected her to do.

Finally turning her head to him, she was curious what he was going to try and pull. Frankly, she could care less. But for some odd reason she was sticking around, perhaps more than she bargained for.

"I do not have to think darling, i know." He had survived his mothers wrath twice and Father's countless times. There was no thinking involved now. He knew how to weigh his chances in seconds and he knew what this meeting ranked on the scales.

She held herself in high regard and he could tell just from the way she spoke and the way she held herself. He wondered if she deserved that regard or if it was just planted in her own mind.

She grinned, "You are sure of yourself then?" she found it amusing that he called her darling. Then again she didn't mind all that much. There was something in him, that she could see as if he were challenging her. This could possibly well be and she knew how to take a kick but she didn't know if she were in that mood today.

She flipped her ebony streaked mane from her eyes looking into his cool dark ones. He had potential, she guessed. The kind that made her almost turn away and flee from or rather be submissive to, rather than be a pain in the a**. She hadn't experienced that in anyone she had met so far and it intrigued her to an extent.

"Ones who are sure of themselves are fools." Being completely sure of yourself made you overestimate things. It made you not pay attention to what was around you. No, he was not sure of himself. He was sure of his abilities and sure of the situation at the moment. Things could change in a moments notice.

"Were i sure of something you'd already be on the ground bleeding."

"Is that so?" she smiled wryly. He was quite right the ones that were boastful of themselves often fell first. Her cool eyes lay steady upon him as her spaded tail flicked back and fourth, almost catlike.

"What are you unsure of then stallion?" her brow quirked while she anticipated the answer,

"Did i say i was unsure of anything?" He knew he hadn't. He was quiet convinced of a few things and none of them he felt the need to share with the mare.

He picked up his walking not caring if she was in his way or not. Should she not move then she would be moved forcibly. He now remembered where, his sibling aside, he had seen the triple horns. Spade. The thought made him grin and he idly wondered if the red stallion had chewed his own tail off yet.

"You should go back to your herd little girl. This is not a place for creatures like you"

"You said 'Were you sure of something I'd be on the ground bleeding' which implies that you were unsure of something." she retorted. She growled lightly, "You are not much bigger than myself." she looked to him. "And I don't intend on taking orders from someone like you," she replied curtly. She wondered why he said someone like her, she was no different from him. If anything she was better. Her mind was weaving though analyzing things that didn't need to be, driving her sanity level into the ground.
