I've been trying to get my head around how cheap breeding is because I'm not really going to be adding more Gen-1 feien for much longer (if I can help it) so I've come to the following conclusion:
For the normal breeding price, you may keep up to two blooms to be distributed however you please. With Pollination, you may keep up to three. Any blooms in excess of this automatically go to the shop.
EDIT: And if you're going to vote no, please tell me why you think it's so terrible to pay 5-7k for a bloom and furthermore negate some of the random advantage feien with high magic have over those with low magic?

Ano... Could it be possible to pay extra and keep a fourth? If I breed Silva I've promised TB one of the offspring, and I don't know if whoever owns the feien he breeds with would agree to giving up the third from pollination. Like... after three when using pollination, you pay like 10-15k for the next ones? Or more, it's up to you.

Sounds good to me. If I ever breed Neruo, I'd only keep one bloom. And his "mate" (or whatever) can do whatever they please with the other bloom(s). But I think that paying extra to keep a third would be a good idea. *shrug* blaugh

RikProwley WELL, IF THEY'RE IN THE SHOP... But then you are buying something you technically already paid for... I've seen this practice in other shops and haven't had much issue with it before. I think the main trouble comes in with the fact that the change is occouring after several succesful breedings have taken place, so people who breed now will only get half of what a previous person recieved for the same price. If the rise in the gaian economy leads you to believe that you need to adjust your prices for breeding I think you would find a lot of owners would not be phased by it as long as they still controlled who recieved the fruits of their labor (no pun intended) There is also the slight akwardness of sitting your feien down infront of the blooms and saying "Okay! Now figure out which is your favorite cause the rest we are packing up and shipping out" In the end my advice is to do what you need to feel that the feien are a worthwhile endevor. And eat lots of dessert

It hasn't been several, it's been... three. ArAr, SiYasha, and TaTa. And with very little incentive to do breedings, I'm not in the mood to do any more for a long, long time.
And the price is currently like 12K, right? Well, individual flatsale feien cost 7k! So if you got 4 blooms from the breedings, that only 3k a bloom and I'm getting ripped off for a bunch of extra work! But 12k is pretty good a price for two blooms, and add that 5k for pollination, that's a real steal for three! Why can't I have any blooms in excess of that to compensate me for my work??

People end up having to choose anyway. You get three, you have to choose who gets to keep what. *shrug* You get five, you still have to make choices. That's the way of things.

I imagine a problem is if four blooms get produced, the owners will fight over who gets the fourth bloom if both of them have a friend they want to give an extra bloom to. This fighting happens with three blooms anyways, but with four, that should about increase the amount of times it happens by 40% which is 40% more hassle (this is assuming that four blooms happens slightly less than half the time. Five blooms... seems kinda rare enough that it should practically be discounted).
Whether that'd be enough to go against it and if there are any other factors, I dunno. I just woke up so my brain won't make itself think any further on the subject. Hrm.

While I voted yes on this, I do have one thing to say that may come to be a bone of contention.
Yes, if you look at the price of breeding adn the resultant blooms, it seems that you're getting ripped off.
However, some of us have Feien that we've already paid WAY MORE THAN NORMAL for. I have three of them. One cost me 700K+, and I've got another order in that cost me well over a mil (Miniwings). You said yourself that the current custom price was overinflated simply to make the work worth your while, and never expected as big a response as you got. With people already paying out the nose for Feien in auctions and customs, a little 'niceness' in breeding doesn't seem like too big a problem in comparison.

True enough, but then, there is something about auctions including breedings. I can't remember what the policy is as the moment.

I know that most auctions include a breeding bit as well, but how would that work with this new rule? Would it still be just two blooms (three for pollination) or would the feien owners get to choose owners for all of them? I apologize if I'm not making much sense, I just woke up and it was a bad sleep night for Youko. >_<
