The forest was full of the sounds of life, the birds sang and the squirrels rustled through the trees shaking the canopy of scatter light which covered the ground. Elawi for once was resting her singing voice while listening to the song nature had offered her. She had spent the day singing and her voice was tired though her heart still asked her to join in the chorus of the song that was drifting all around her.
As she walked on the sunlight twinkling through the trees reflected off her golden horn and hooves periodically as she passed through the patches of light and shade. She continued on until reaching a small lake that seemed to have been hidden within the forest. She smiled for a moment before bending to drink she never was the most bright she had never thought to make sure the coast was clear before making herself vulnerable.

Not far off, another horned soquili wandered through the woods. Kal had never been through this way before, so he took his time nibbling at every last unfamiliar plant that caught his eye. His light coat and glittering gold markings stood out amidst the foliage, while he made no effort to hide the sound of his cloven hooves stepping on dry twigs and leaves. He would certainly not be sneaking up on anyone unawares.
The slim little stallion kept his head down as he sniffed and nibbled, so he hardly noticed emerging from the underbrush as he followed a particularly interesting trail of sweet shade-loving clover. With his head down, and so happily focused on the clover, it would be easy to mistake him for a foal with his short, scraggly mane and small size.
