Shae ran her hands over her dress nervously. She hadn't felt the need to dress up for the occasion, and was now rethinking her decision. She felt too casual. The leather lace up vest seemed so old, and it didnt help that her thigh high striped socks were a little bit holey. Her tall boots hid most of them though, and she held her head high repeating the mantra 'I'm comfortable AND I look good.'

Grinning her usual cocky grin with her fangs poking over her lips, she strode up to the food vendor, and took in the sights. "I'd like...." She started speaking before making up her mind. "Beef jerky!" the girl proclaimed as soon asd she saw it. The man behind the counter gave her an odd look, but gave her her meat as she slapped down the money. Not many girls got that enthusiastic over dried meat.

Shae stalked off eating the salty meat quickly, looking for new adventures...

Mii slowly walked towards the food, making sure her presence is not realatively known. She looked around. No one seemed to turn their head towards her. She snagged a cotton candy.

She scurried off, then tripped on her friend rat. Ack! I'm trying to be inconspicuous here! Grunting, she picked it up, then headed off to the picnic area where she can slowly eat her newly obtained food.

Shiia walked up to the food stand. For some reason, she'd been convinced that this was going to be a great celebration, but she had been dreading it since the day they broadcasted it on the announcments. It did appeal to her, but the idea of having to talk to a total and complete stranger ruined the idea. Never-the-less, she went. The line was empty and so she went up to the front. She stared up at the large sign that displayed all the many refreshments and condiments that they had. As she looked at all the food, the range of the foods that they had surprised her.

" May I have a...popcorn? " She said, speaking the same volume that she always had. Her small voice almost faded away in the chaos of the celebration, but somehow the attendent was able to hear her above the noise. She watched in wonder as her poured the popcorn kernals into the large machine and scooped out a cup of the popped kernals into a red and white bag before pouring a brown liquid over the final creation.

A small bag of caramel popcorn was passed to her and she mumbled a small " Thank You " before she walked away. She stood by a nearby tree next to the stand and finished her popcorn. The taste was exhilerating and it was unlike anything she'd ever tasted before. The kernals popped in her mouth like a small atom bomb and the caramel melted in her mouth. She chewed each portion for almost ten second and tried to savor the taste. It took her a good long time to finish the entire bag, but she didn't care. Once she finished, she tossed the bag in the metal garbagecan and went back up to the stand for a second helping. The assistant in the booth smiled as he saw Shiia's anticipation for the caramel popcorn. Shiia diverted her eyes to the tree, while she waited eagerly for the bag of the crunchy sweets.

Once she recieved the bag, she had to resist the urge to shove handfuls into her mouth. Instead, she simply began to eat the popcorn one by one and walked to the boardwalk.
