Oh my God!!!!! gonk A while ago I told a friend in confidence of something I believed about a classmate of ours. Turns out she recently told him and he's been asking me why I thought that and why I told people!!!!! gonk Worst of all, I'm having his dad as my Spanish III teacher in the fall!!!!!!!!! gonk gonk gonk If he tells his dad, this could drastically change my grades, and I can't afford that!!!

I don't know what to do! So far I got a new AIM screenname, one they both don't know. I'm scared, and I think I should transfer to one of the different high schools in town. I don't know if I can trust anyone ever again. crying

Out of curiosity, what did you tell your friend about him? It matters as to how severe it was.

In any case, I offer you the following:

1: You don't need to change schools. This too will pass.

2: Teachers cannot lower grades based on personal bias and prejudice. You're safe there.

That's all I can really say, as I don't know many specifics. Really, it's okay-- these things happen.

they lower your grade just because you said an

At worst, the teacher may be a little harder on you and give you those steely stares.

The memory span of high school is about a week, and that's a pretty major, groundbreaking, "oh dear God, the football captain was murdered," kind of thing.

You're safe. Own up to whatever you said and show that you're the better person who doesn't have to fear them. They'll leave it alone.
