I'm copying and pasting from my short and simplified role play version, but I should have the full version up soon (except for the history, which is extensive).

This is the simplest and least technologically advanced country, and yet it has the most fantastic history of any country. It is small in content though rather large in square miles. It contains the small mountain range, about a dozen spread out villages, two small lakes - and one ancient and immense forest.

Brief History

The Mauchi is the oldest surviving country in the galaxy. It stretches back to even before Harud Duklum, who was thought to be some sort of sorcerer of terrible power. The earliest record tells of the three great civilizations of the time: the Mauchi, the Durien, and the Bauile. The three civilizations co-existed in peace due to a peace-keeping order that was even older than the countries. The peace-keepers in the order were said to be so powerful that no man other than another one of the peace-keepers could match one of the peace-keepers. This is said to be true because of a supernatural power that they could use. However a war broke out between the countries. The Durien, the most simple among the three, was destroyed and the Bauile, the greatest of the three, was crippled and started falling apart after the war. As the Mauchi were recovering sufficiently well another war erupted, this time from a completely new source. It says that a man named Harud Duklum attacked the country with swarms of hideous creatures that they named "bocru" and the peace-keepers called "irch" but their real name was gerrin. There were also other things besides the goblin-like gerrin, but few quite as fearsome as the creatures known as the kular by the peace-keepers and just as the shadows by the Mauchi. A mere touch could put you in a irreversible sickness and if it held you for long enough it would drain all the blood from your body. Even the peace-keepers had trouble keeping such an army at bay, but quite suddenly Harud Duklum vanished and his army was scattered. The kular vanished shortly afterward along with most of his more cunning officers, but the more dim-witted ones formed lose knitted attacks on the country's cities. The peace-keepers disappeared into the Mauchi Mountains and since then it has become impossible to reach the centre of them.

The Mauchi technology did not grow much over the centuries, though it was on the other side of the world. They forced any outsiders out of their country and never got a hint of the first space launching or the first choppidu launching. When they finally opened up to rest of their planet, it was not much different than before; some unknown event had caused their technology to decline so that they weren't much ahead of the Mauchi. Within the last century they've had contact from other planets - the descendants of the explorers had found the planet that their fathers had come from, not that they knew it. The Mauchi were slightly wary of join what the Grutain called the "Galactic Nations", but the two superpowers of the planet, Geam and Lucida, insisted and they finally agreed to sign. Now they have one, single spaceport but still no easy means of land transportation. They are still the ancient Mauchi.

Technology

The Mauchi are very simple though there are some technological advances seeping in such as an occasional carbon-steel building among the stone ones and guns are as much a norm as swords, but all-in-all they are still low in this area.

Types of People

The Mauchi tend to be raised with a very strong connection to their own community and mistrust of outsiders, so they don't travel much. But then there are a few odd balls who simply love to travel and meet new people. Since the sudden appearance of the Grutain there have been technological extremist on both ends of the rope, so any type of person can come from here. Still the norm are mistrusting and untravelled people.

Rio Morrie
Every four years each city votes for their mayor. After the mayor serves their four years, they replace the old senetors who make decisions for the country as a whole. The Prime Minsister is voted by the senetors in times of crisis or quick desicion. First they vote to see if martial law is needed, then they vote for the Prime Minister, who is more of a military leader. They've had Prime Minister Kolire for four years now, every since Geam declared war on them to get more land in their conquest. The senetors vote for whenever the martial law should be released.
