One extremely large room, actually, two, with a wall thrown down, has been turned into a fitting area for what this young woman wants to teach. Combat. The room contains a large sandpit, a forest terrain, what appears to be a rather good recreation of an alleyway, along with an area covered with mats. Various cupboards and cabinets holding food, overflowing with random objects and weapons, line the wall closest to the door, just behind a large desk, with a cushion on top of it. Also adorning the desk are stacks of books, papers, pencils, cups, packaged food, sketches, and a few trinkets from her travels. Along the walls are countless hand-drawn maps, along with diagrams of combat stances and framed pictures of strange places [Perhaps places that Turner has been to?].
Currently, the young woman was seated on a large wrestling mat, cross-legged and talking to the preteen who had quickly evolved from best-friend's daughter to Teaching Assistant. The TA's name? Tyven Reever. The Indigo Snake and the Battle instructor had already warmed up, doing several laps around the floor, as well as a playful sparring match, and were now lounging, stretching their muscles in preparation.
A small class today, allowing the woman to focus on her charges individually while Tyven worked with the other. Anoki and Cody. One, she'd met before, and he seemed a bit timid, whereas the other one's file said he was quite the opposite. Hrm. It was time for them to arrive.

Cody had developed the bad habit of dragging his hooves, so to speak, to much of his classes. Magic hardly interested him at all, that stuff was for kids like Legia and Paxton. No body to back up fightin' words or even protect themselves from a good pounding. Not him, all that voo-do nonsense and changing one thing to another was hardly something Cody could accomplish, even if he wanted to.
However, when Edan had reminded him that he'd been scheduled to attend a battle class, the bull had become quite diligent. Up before the alarm even went off, cleaned up, and ready to go. Winter dropped him off just in front of the building, yawning over her 'grande' cup of coffee. Tex piled out of the back, barreling after his young rider as the boy eagerly tore into the building.
Eventually he found the right class room- though he'd passed it by at least three times before realizing that it was where he was supposed to be. If anyone asked, he was just getting warmed up.
"Howdy." Cody tipped his hat a bit as he stepped into the room, taking note of each of the set-ups. Oh this would be fun, he was being graded to fight someone. At least, that's what he hoped.

If Anoki had been told that he was having a class, he would have been there early and alert. It was far from his best suit, something that the ibex had a strong desire to change. If you flubbed magic, that was one thing. But if you messed up while fighting someone, you really got hurt! Or worse...
However, the message system at D-Corp was on the fritz again. Perhaps it had to do with the warps in Apartment #5 from constant magic use, but mail seemed to take forever to get there, and phone messages arrived hours late. As a result, Anoki only learned of the class ten minutes before it was due to start. He barely had time to change before dashing out the door.
By the time he arrived at the classroom, he was a mess. He hadn't bothered to comb his unruly hair, and while he was wearing decent navy blue cotton pants and a sleeveless, sky blue hoodie, the pants were wrinkled and the top only zipped halfway. Well aware of his appearance, Anoki nervously stood outside the door of the classroom for a a few seconds before an impatient Myung-Ki pushed him inside.
With nothing else to do, he looked around anxiously for the teacher. And, to a lesser degree, his classmates. "H-hello?"

Both of the attractive, yet dangerous, female's looked up at Cody's greeting, and although Tyven stayed seated, Turner got to her feet with an energetic grin. "Howdy to you, too! Y'must be Cody. I'm Turner, your instructor, 'n Tyven there's gonna be workin' with us as well." Tyv gave the boy an almost friendly nod in greeting as she bent her body to stretch and grab her extended foot. Flexible.
As Anoki arrived, Tyven raised an eyebrow at his looks, while Turner repeated her introduction, and gestured to the mat. "We're just doin' some warm up stretches right now, 'n you're both welcome, 'n encouraged to join us." Returning to her seat on the mat, Turner copied Tyven's stretch, smiling warmly. "'N while we stretch, why don'tcha tell me what sort of fightin' experience y'have, 'n what you're lookin' to learn today?"

Cody grinned, working on some stretches of his own. Pulling back a leg and balancing on the other though that was a bit more difficult with hooves. He'd watched all those excercise videos. If he didn't stretch out he'd cramp, or so the weird guy in mini-shorts had said. Not the most manly thing to watch but it was something to do while Winter was out. Of course it usally made a mess of the living room. Kushions on the ground for crunches or the table inclined for the same reason.
"Been fightin' since th' day they pulled me outta the tube." He flashed a dangerous grin, lowering his hoof back to the ground in favor of the other one for a complete stretch of his legs, "Brawled right when I got hooked up with mah ma. Tackled 'Geia right out. Got this feather from 'em." He pointed up to his hat, returning his hoof to the ground and started leaning back, working his back out, "Than I fight Keanu all th' time. 'e's actually a challange."
Obviously one to brag, Cody pointed up to the patch on his face, "Lost this not too long ago. Gonna get 'em back fer it too..."
