I know a ton of people who have had sex at the age of 14 (my age) or 15. A lot of my friends don't want to wait, but I do. And I feel so out of the loop.
I want to wait till I'm married to have sex. That way I know I want to be with that person forever and hopefully they'll commit to me for a very very long time.
Turning 14 was a big deal. Way bigger than 13. I have all these new responsibilities. In two years I'll be driving. By that age a lot of teens have had sex.
I don't think it's right when you're in high school to have sex. A lot of seniors and juniors at our high school are pregnant or have babies. And I know that's just a lot of the whores, but, there's still a risk.
Don't get me wrong, it's not like I don't want to have sex, I just don't feel I should do it this early. And most of my friends think differently. Especially Matt.
I don't know. I feel left out. I feel...maybe a little depressed?
Every thing's changing. Even though I'm a freshman and I'll still be in junior high
I don't know how to explain it.
Kay. Now that I got that out I feel a lot better. :<

Sex is a very personal choice. One that you should only make when you're comfortable with it. If you want to wait, then explain that to any boyfriends/girlfriends. Those that care will respect your decision.
On one hand I completely agree with you. Most young teenagers /shouldnt/ be having sex. On the other hand, there have been times in human history where young girls were married off and having children at tender ages. But then again, we've come a long way from those eras.
Having sex for the fun of it, or just because everyone else is doing it...isnt a responsible decision and quite frankly a sure sign that you arent ready for it.
Dont feel left out. There are thousands upon thousands of young people who believe in waiting til they're ready or for marriage.

.:. 'Tis all about choice. There's studies I've heard though that if you wait until marriage, and if your spouse does too, there's a huge cut in the chance of divorce. So, just think what good you might be doing yourself by putting this off till that time. 3nodding .:.

i'm 17 and have never had sex
since I've been going out with my boyfriend, though, I want to...i love him so much
I don't want to wait for marriage...I'm sure i'll be with him forever ^^
we're meeting in October...but, i'm not sure that'll be the time...I'm going over to visit next year...probably then
I'll be 18...so, being 14 and being a virgin is, really, not only legal...but, it's just good sense
You could change your mind about the person instantly...and, waiting until you're totally ready is the smartest thing to do

Omg! I know how you feel! Well, for the most part. Personally, the human body just is an uncomfortable subject for me, already, and anything below the waist i just don't want to deal with. Well, my POV is i just don't wanna have sex at all. Eheh. Anywayy, I too, am 17 and never had sex. :] (wow! im 17! x] sorry, i just turned 17 so im all whoo! XD) A lot of my friends (not my closer friends we're all virgins together xD but anyway~) especially the guy ones, aren't virgins. And i'm just like. "Woww". Because some people make it do seem like, if you haven't ******** someone then you're a freak. I know this girl who's only TWELVE and she's PREGNANT. Fifteen, i can understand. But 12!? She's in 6TH GRADE! Ergg, but anyway. It is up to the person, and if they feel ready then go ahead. It's just the whole peer pressure type of thing, isn't it? I dunno, arg, i'm starting to talk to myself. xD Sorry.

Sex is just something that happens when the timing feels right. I personaly think you waiting would be wise, since your young and have much ahead of you. I made the mistake of letting my verginity go, but I jsut have to move on. But waiting shows you can gain trust with that person you fall in love with, and don't let anyone tell you things otherwise.

I understand how you feel (kinda). I'm 14 (turning 15 in August) and I know a lot of people who have had sex at the age of 14/15. I personally think 14 is too young. But, anyway, it's your decision. You should make that decision when you feel it's the right time and, of course, the right person.
