{ This is a free for all open Rp of Akki's growing up into a advanced child. Basicly a birthday party at the beach. Anyone's allowed to enter, no gifts are needed. This Rp is especially for the twins I have, Taye and Horus. Although since it is Akki's party don't forget him in there either. xD; Have fun}

Scrambling to pull a large beach bag from the dented old car Kris watched helplessly as her three boys took off towards the beach. She shook her head and kept a realitively sharp eye on the boys as she put all her strength into pulling the bag out of her trunk. It took her a few more seconds but thankfully the bag parted with the back of the car and lept into the young woman's arms, sending her backwards just slightly.

"Alright then. Boys!"

As she drew closer to her group of kids she noticed they were closing in on the waters edge. She certainly wasn't capable of going in after any of them and setting up for a birthday party as well. Calling after them she looked as Taye, the younger of the two twins was the only one to pay any attention to her calls. Once more she attempted to alert the other two as well,

"Akki! Horus! Boys! You can play but don't go that close to the water's edge please!"

They all looked up at her, but nobody nodded. None the less they backed away from the ocean's shoreline and found a spot nearer to Kris to settle down. She smiled, content knowing the boys were listening today and started to set up for the party. She hadn't invited anyone but she'd posted flyers earlier that morning in hopes of at least one person showing up, if not there'd be plenty of food to go around for the next few weeks. First Kris layed out beach towels and large blankets for places to sit, then the umbrellas she'd gotten when they'd first thought of a beach party, followed by some sunscreen and other much needed things.

Taking another short glance at the three children she noticed that they had begun building a sand castle. Horus, the older and a little less wiser of the two twin boys was busy throwing piles of sand ontop of where Akki's hands lay whereas Taye had decided to sit back and enjoy the show. She also noticed none of them seemed a bit interested in what she was doing, then again who would, this was all the work while they played. Laughing a little under her breath Kris took out the food she'd brought, deli meats and shrimp plates as well as sodas and juices, some other drinks and chips and dips. It seemed a good assortment of food for the time being, a few veggie plates were also set up next to the shrimp.

From there Kris was almost done, all that was left was the balloons on a weight she'd boughten from the dollarstore a while away and some party supplies, hats and whatnot. Taking a short walk back to their car she dug through the trunk, grabbing a set of some lawn chairs and a foldable table. She then made her way back to where the set up was and finished up.

"There, all done...now all we do is wait."

Kris spoke outloud as she plopped back into one of the chairs, just a distance away to watch those boys of her's without disturbing them.

Lucy sat on the living room couch watching her cartoons. A commercial had come on about lake homes on the beach. Lucy sat there entranced by the rhythm of the waves in the background. Jumping off the chair and running into the kitchen, she found her mother and grabbed the hem of her skirt. She pulled on it and in a pleading voice spoke to her mother. "Momma! Momma! Lucy wanna go see waves! Lucy wanna go! Lucy wanna go! Pwease Momma!" The whole time she yelled this, she was yanking on the hem of Ren's dress.

'Well, it's not like we have much else to do.' Ren looked down to her daughter and smiled while pulling the top of her dress back up. "Alright sweetie, we'll go see the waves."

-2 hours later-

Ren walked down teh edge of the beach in her white sundress holding Lucy's hand. Lucy had decided it would be fun to run off into the waves so that Ren couldn't see her. Thusforth, Ren now had a tight grip on her daughter as she walked in the edge of the water.

Lucy looked up from the crab she ahd been stalking as she heard the laughter of boys. SHe startled Ren by quickly running behind her mother and peeking at the boys and other woman in front of them.

"Hello, I'm Ren, sorry for intruding upon things. This isn't by any chance the party that was on the flier I saw earlier?"

Long before he had any kids, ie three days ago, Mort had been planning to take a few days off and head to the beach for a well earned vacation. Now, as he was driving there in his beat-up truck, it didn't really look like much of a vacation at all.

The child in the seat next to him was finally fast asleep and curled up against the door. The seatbelt didn't really fit Alair but it was good enough. Alair was still fast asleep when the two pulled up to the hotel. After racing inside, getting the room keys and pulling around to their room, Mort stood looking at Alair.

Gently he poked the boy, not sure of what exactly to do. "Wake up, Alair," he whispered. The penicillin kid rolled over with a groan. Shuffling his feet, Mort poked his new son again. "Alair, it's time to get up. We're there."

The two struggled together, screams from Alair who was rudely woken up, exasperated shouts from Mort who just didn't understand. Eventually the two compromised, by which Alair shut himself in a room and finished the nap while Mort locked the room and looked around the hotel area.

Finally it was afternoon and the two had 'reconciled'. Mort, who had seen a flyer up that morning, decided to surprise Alair with a trip to the beach. It would distract Alair, and maybe he could get some advice on kids. Hopefully. 'Cause he really needed it.

Arriving at the place, Mort had picked up a bundle of army figurines as a present to the 'birthday' kid, he glanced around. Alair spotted the party long before he did and an insistant tug on his hand dragged Mort over in that direction. "Hiii!" the boy waved excitedly.

The two boys playing roughly with the sandcastle instantly shot their heads up in surprise that visitors had actually arrived. Kris had seen the first group, the two females approach and hadn't but moved a inch, however as the second group, the two boys appeared she'd twitched just slightly from being startled. Her fliers, thankfully, had proved helpful in creating what she hoped wouldn't be the last of birthday bashes for the children she now watched after. Smiling politely to the two groups Kristina took a stand and began to greet the first set of individuals. A small girl, roughly Akki's apparent age, maybe a little younger, was peering from around her mother's dress watching Akki and the twins questionably.

"Yes, this is the party. Just the beginning of it as well. I see you've got a little tag-a-long there, such a beautiful child..."

Friendly smiling towards the young girl Kris completely forgot about introductions for herself and the boys until a brief moment later.

"Ah, where are my manors. I'm Kristina, Kris for short. And these are my boys; the birthday boy Akki, and the soon to be birthday boys Taye and Horus."

As she pointed each of the boys out as their names ran off her lips the young woman watched soundly as the man and his son approached. It was good to know others were about, for some time she hadn't seen much of a community and half thought people kept mostly to themselves.

"Your daughter is more than welcome to join the boys in building the sandcastle they've begun, get something to nibble on or whatever she'd like. If you need something, just let me or Akki know. And thank you for coming."

Hoping the girl became more comfortable with the boys and joined in on the activities Kris' attention diverted to the second group whom had a more, outspoken, child in it. As the two came nearer she could make out that the man and his son had had a long day, which appeared to have taken more out upon the man than the boy. She grinned again politely and made her way towards them to greet them. Half way through her turn she remembered that she had forgotten to get the names of both the young girl and her mother,

'Shoot. Well, as impolite as it was, I'll have to take care of it after this group.'

"Hello there."

She said bending to the boy's level,

"I'm Kris. My boys are over there trying to build a really big sandcastle, if you want you can go over and help them out."

Turning her head loosely she once more pointed out the boys as she rambled off their names,

"The boy over there is Taye, he's about your age. Then there's his brother Horus, he's over there digging the castle's moat. And then the birthday boy, Akki, he's over there putting up one of the castle's walls."

With no second glances Akki was busy patting the wall of sand to his castle. He'd never really been to the beach before, but the feeling of sand under his nails and pale fingers seemed oddly familiar. He had but smiled towards the groups of strangers but once or twice since they'd arrived, after all, it wasn't like his brothers were much of a help building his fortress. Nobody could build like he could.

Meanwhile Horus sat busily burring his tiny fingers into the sand, digging with all his power to loosen up the sand and eventually move it. The water kept rushing in quicker than he could dig which ment the collapse of quite a few of their first attempts. Each time the castle had to be restarted farther up on shore, and so far nothing they'd tried had worked. That's when Akki had had an idea, building something to take the water away before it damaged the sandcastle. It was a perfect plan, but since he was busy building the castle upwards he had instructed Horus to dig. Moving another load of sand to his side the boy continued fusing over the large amounts of oncoming water and the lack of help he was acquiring from his Taye.

Lucy looked up at the woman as she was talking. 'She seems nice.' A sudden wave crashed over to her side, making ehr ehad spin towards the loud noise. Lucy let go of her mothers hand and grabbed the ends of her blue dress as she walked over to the waves. Ren came up behind her and picked her up by the waist. "You know, its a lost better with your shoes off." She whispered into her daughters ear. She slowly pulled the shoes off of her daughters feet and set her back down into the wet sand next to the boy Kris had called Akki.

Lucy was mesmerized by the way the waves crashed and churned, sparkling in the sunlight. "Mama, mama! What's that word you said to Lucy? The one that was like pretty but better? It started with a B! Didn't it?" Lucy questioned her mother without taking her eyes off of the water.

Ren nelt down next to her daughter. "It's called beautiful, just like you darling." Ren stood up and smiled to her daughters back. "I'm going to go get something to drink, you want some soda as a treat?"

"Yes, please Momma." Lucy noticed the boy out of the corner of her eye. 'It needs something.' She bent over and picked up the small stick in front of her, and grabbed the blue tissue out of her pocket. She tied the tissue around the stick and held the flag out to Akki. "Here, it needs a flag in order to be a real castle." She set the flag down next to teh boys legs. "Lucy's name is Lucy, what's yours?" She walked in the edges of he water backa nd forth while talking to the boy.

Alair nodded happily the woman's suggestion, "Okay!" He ran, clumsily from the shifting sand, over to the three boys. Plopping down next to Horus he stared at the moat. "Whatcha doin?" the boy asked curiously. Not even bothering to ask if he could help, Alair stuck his hands into the sand and pulled out a large handful. Watching it for a moment as little rivelets of sand ran out his hands and back into the small hole he had just dug.

Mort shifted uncomfortably. "I'm Mort and that was Alair.." He shoved the small package of army toys towards the woman, not at all wrapped. "Uh... Here.."

Kris took the army soldiers carefully and smiled,

"Thank you Mort. I'm sure Akki will adore them, he's been everything army lately. Alair is a very, active boy, I'm sure he's a delight to watch after."

Twisting around and bending a bit the young woman managed to slip the gift near her seat and out of the eyes of the children until later, meanwhile attempting to keep a eye on the kids and her mind in the conversation.

eying the other boy's actions for a brief moment Horus just shrugged, after all, if the stranger wanted to help and make his life easier, why not let him. Digging back into the sand he pulled out another handful of sand and plopped it down near the other piles,

"Building a castle. But I'm digging the moat, to keep the water out."

He smiled to the boy,

"I'm Horus. Who are you?"

"Uh, thanks Lucy. I'm Akki by the way."

He was a little stunned the girl was so friendly, but he wasn't at all unhappy about it. She knew something about castles, at least how to decorate them, maybe she could help build it. Looking over at her as she moved back and forth from the water he looked back at his brothers and the other boy and then back to Lucy,

"You like the water?"

Mort nodded thankfully. "That's good. I wasn't sure.. what he'd like..."

The largeish man squirmed twisting his hands around and around. What did parents talk about? Kids? Regular stuff? The man wished he had paid more attention to his parents when he was growing up but digging in the dirt had always been so much more interesting.

"So... Uhh..." He turned to the other parent there. "I'm Mort, what's you're name?" To be honest he wasn't really good at the social stuff to begin with...

Alair grinned. "I'm Alair! That sounds pretty cool." Alair clumsily began digging without asking if he could help. A few handfuls in and the boy stopped. Waving across the castle he called to the other three. "Hi! What's your names?"

Akki looked up at the boy helping his eldest twin brother, he smiled and returned his polite wave.

"I'm Akki."

He turned then, and returned to working with the others.

"I....I'm Taye."

A shy voice came from closer to the water's edge, a few steps away from his brother Akki sat another boy. This one looked identical to Horus, but he seemed smaller, and was certainly not as talkative. He shied away from looking at the talking stranger, sighing lightly.

"Yeah, I do. The sound of it is just so pretty. And the way it makes me feel so comfy when I'm in it, I just absolutely love it! Almost as much as Momma." Lucy's eyes sparkled as she smiled toward the young boy. "Maybe you should put up a wall around the castle? And a moat! Then it could be like the one in the movie Momma and Lucy watched!" Lucy bounced up and down excitedly; looking at Akki in front of her.

"Come on! I want to see what a beach looks like!" "But there will be lots of water there, and I don't have the wrappings to put over my roots!" "So stay out of the water! I'm sure you'll be fine. Besides, Mom put you in charge of me, and she wouldn't like it if you let me go somewhere on my own." The older of the two sighed. That sounded more like a threat than anything else. But she was right. "Alright, alright, I'm coming, I'm coming." Anything to make her younger sister quit pestering her. Besides, it wasn't often Luna acted like a little kid - she usually tried to look and act like a teen. Luna squealed with glee and bounced up and down before she skipped towards the beach, Papina in tow. They both paused at the sight of a setup on the beach; did they miss something? Luna quickly launched herself towards the table, wanting to see if there was any good food there. Papina groaned inwardly before following at a more mature pace. Why do I have to watch over Luna? She looked for someone who looked like they were in charge; it wouldn't do to barge in without at least saying hello first.

Kris moved from her last place of being and watched the younger of the girls come barreling in for the food she'd placed out earlier. She smiled akwardly as she took to the food quicker than she'd seen one person do ever. Needless to say an older, more mature girl came down behind her, slower and paced. She figured if anyone was in charge between the two it'd be her, walking towards the girl she met up with her and smiled.

"Hello, welcome. I'm Kris..."

She said politely to the young woman. This girl appeared to be another of the odd residents here, wondering if her three boys would one day be like the others she'd seen she turned her attention to the girl at the food tables,

"...I see your friend enjoys food."

She laughed carefully.

"My brother Horus and, Alair are trying to build one."

He smiled over at Lucy and pointed with his small finger over to the other two boys that were pulling up sand and placing in a large pile to their sides.

"And the wall, is what I'm building. Well, trying too.."

Akki looked over at the meekly build sandcastle wall and shook his head. It was a poor attempt to keep the waves out, they were so much bigger than their castle would ever become.

"Did you watch a movie about a real castle?"

His eyes lit up, castles had cannons, old fashioned knights and steel horses. He smiled at the girl, she seemed very interesting.

"Hello. I'm Papina," the ivy teen responded. She gave an odd grin at the next part and gently corrected with, "I don't think we've gotten to the friends part yet, but she is my younger sister, Luna."

Luna, meanwhile, was rumaging through the food, tasting bits and pieces of first this, then that, and then the other. "'Ullo..." she managed around a mouthful of various foods, giving a brief wave to Kris before going back to sampling every bit of food on the table. She really needed to take some of this back home and see if she could have her mother to get some!

"Well it's nice to meet you Papina, and Luna."

She smiled towards the child as she pulled through the foods. Kris looked at the teen, younger sister, so there were other parents with multiple children.

"Well, your sister seems rather hungry. That or she's got a endless stomach like my boys. Ah, speaking of them. This is actually my eldest son's birthday party."

Pointing to the boys as she called their names they didn't even bother to look up, they were too busy with the sandcastle and their other playmates.

"Akki, it's his birthday. And those two, Horus and Taye. They're twins but Horus is a few minutes older."

She paused for a moment, looking back at the group behind her.

"So, what brings you guys to the beach today?"

Papina eyed Luna as the moon child cruised the food table. "Or she just wants to try everything out. All her favorite foods no longer 'taste quite right', so she's looking for new favorites." She turned to look at the children playing in the sand. They one and all felt like scroll children, but none of them looked familiar. "Birthday? Well, I guess I'll have to say happy birthday to him at some point." She squinted at the boys, trying to figure out which one was which. Kris's pointing didn't really help Papina out, but she did figure out which was which. Sorta. Maybe she should go over and talked to the lot... She blinked and looked back at Kris at the question. "Luna wanted to see what a beach looked like, and since I remember another scroll child... Maggie... say something about a beach when I first met her, the two of us came out here." She managed a sheepish grin. "It's our first time out here, both of us." The leaves on her head twitched with embarrassment as they continued to soak up the sun.
