User Image Four small paws pounded lightly atop a patch of baby grass as it sprouted along the banks of a gentle spring leading to the waters edge until the body of the creature flopped down along the back and dipped its paws into the cool waters. Aqua eyes reflected the droplets of water as they trickled past the cyan paws before a black nose curiously dipped forward, allowing the water to run past with its sleek coolness. Snorting, the pup found himself shocked by the reaction of the water when he had blown air into it watching as the bubbles came up. Large eyes widened and his tail lightly tapped against the earthy ground. “Whoa…” he murmured, before submerging his muzzle once more and blowing a few more bubbles. A wide grin spread across his maw before he finally pulled away, becoming distracted with a flash of silver across the water. Cocking his head sideways he looked to what he had thought he had seen noticing light cascading down from a few tree branches above him creating pools of luminosity across the surface of the rippling water.

His life was simple; at least this was the luck that had shown through for him thus far. He had been separated from his mother just days before and somehow managed through the wilds without attracting unwanted predators nor did he have many issues finding foods having been feasting off of berries and a single fish he had caught in this very spring the day before. But he was too young to hunt or even understand it, and eventually his empty stomach would claim him if not a hunter. Saeldur, as he was called, didn’t understand this nor did he experience much fear since is separation having focused his mind as viewing this current misfortune as a new adventure he was glad to meet head on. And thus far it had been fun.

Finally he nipped at a few blades of grass, growing bored with his current surroundings. ‘There’s nothing to do,’ he whined inwardly, before suddenly springing to his feet and attacked an imaginary insect all the while wagging his tail furiously.

User Image|| Wow, I actually found an ORP to toss Vanya in for her first rp. I've been meaning to make one, or find someone to rp with me, but I'm a procrastinator. D: I believe we mentioned possibly rping Vanya and Saeldur together so, I hope you don't mind if I join in? ||

Whereas one such pup was not intimidated by the vastness of the world and met the day with an esctactic rush, a meek femme of creamy hues was quite the opposite. Petite Vanya had lost her rambling parents nearly two weeks ago and ever since her already pronounced timid persona had intensified leaving her bewildered and astray. Her story would not be viewed with much surprise by most; the life of a loner was arduous and new parents could easily become seperated from their brood, however, this she hardly took note of in her current state. Rationality seemed like a dimmed voice to her when it came to her detachment. That aside, her current predicament came to mind. Where exactly was she?

Stiffly pads shifted forward with hesitant curiousity, spring green orbs drifting at the slightest of noises and then snapping back to the path ahead. Faintly the soothing gurgling of a brook slipped into her pricked ears; a moment of serenity for the pup. As if on ethereal wings she glided forward, a euphoric, misty quality entering her eyes.
Water... Water... A source of liquid would help in more than one way; it could it provide her with a desired drink, she had been told, as was common knowledge, that it was considerably easier to capture a glimpse of prey near water, and the little femme had always had a strange affinity for the element. Water could calm her when she could not bring herself to see the light and she had a peculiar belief that it was living. That it could feel and express emotions, that it was an entity like any wolf or other creature to walk the earth, but different in the same sense. Vanya saw it as a beholder of ultimate wisdom and that if one truly believed - if they deeply understood it - that one could divine any truth from it. This seemed to be an almost shaman-like attribute, but then Vanya knew little of the mystical wolves to roam this land.

In an instant her bubbling mantra of thoughtflow shattered leaving only her at the bank of an elegantly swirling current; at least that is how she viewed the scene. She had no notion of the frolicking pup only feet from her as her senses were only for the water. Tentatively she stretched a dainty forepaw above the spring and, ever-so-slowly, dipped it within the icy confines.

((I'm so sorry I haven't replied to this earlier. I kinda forgot about it ^^' Anyway, thank you for replying, I appreciate it))

It was in his lazy attempts to cure his exasperating boredom a light scent wafted to his busy nose. It took only a second to recognize what it was that came to it, but analyzing it for a moment in gentle peace caused him a bit of confusion when he realized the scent was completely new. The owner, a wolf he had never met before, had a sweet honeysuckle aroma that jump started his youthful heart. Without his comprehension his tail was slowly flicking back and forth before wagging with the vigor that expressed his relieved and comforted emotion knowing that now, if he could find her, would have at least someone to keep him company even if for only a little while.

Bounding to his large paws the silver and cyan pup romped forward following the scent farther down the spring in order to find the one who had called to him with it. The grass tickled his pads as he scampered past the thick reeds along parts of the clear creek and Saeldur didn’t dare slow in his pace until the vision of the creamy female finally caught his vibrant eyes. For a moment his breath caught in his chest while incredulity over took him. That was until he noticed she was here alone, though why he hadn’t come up with that conclusion before hand was beyond him. What brought her here? Was she like him in the fact that he was separated from his parents? He had to understand.

“Hello,” he chirped gleefully, altering her to his presence before he slowly approached now sauntering toward her unthreateningly. His tail was held high unlike his true rank but his encouraging eyes didn’t speak of any boisterous attitude.

“What is your name?”

|| Eep! I did the same, sorry. D: ||

Words filled her sensitive ears, drawing her free of her reverie and sending her into a panic. Whisking her paw out of the current, which sent droplets spiraling into the air, she whirled about only to stumble back several paces. This, ultimately, unbalanced her and sent her flopping into a creamy heap on her rump. "Oh! Oh, oh, oh no," Vanya managed to squeak, eyelids clamping shut over her brilliant gaze.

Faintly she registed his words where cheerful and hardly threatening in the least, which slowly resulted in her blinking her eyes open once more to stare in a mixture of confusion and apprehension at the young male. "I- I did-didn't know an-anyone el-else w-was here! I'm so-so-sorry if I i-in-intrud-ded on pa-pack terr-territory." She hardly noticed no other lupine scents clung to the male's pelt, but in this moment of terror she was hardly as sharp as per usual.

Scraping up a tiny sense of courage at his question, which was blatantly pale in comparison to his pleasant attitude, she mumbled in response to his initial question, "Vanya... M-my na-name is Vanya..."

Observing her from a small distance he took in the details of the female, noting her pleasant colorations, her small frame and her age as well and surmised they had to be birthed about the same month. A gentle silver tail waged still unable to cease its animations as he watched her. She was...skittish. Her young voice stuttered shyly and though he admitted to expressing bashfulness before he had never known another pup to submit as she was.

"No need to worry, you're not trespassing or anything. Or at least I don't think so, and if you are then that means I am too," he said, giving a sheepish grin. His triangular ears focused on her hardly moving away and as she spoke her name his smile increased.

"That's a nice name, Vanya," he chirped, "My name is Saeldur. So you're new here huh? Did you get separated from your mother too?" He had to ask, not understanding any other circumstance that would cause a pup to be away from its family ties.

"I... I-I-oh... oh..." unable even to comprehend her own self or make sense of her muddied thoughts, the tiny fem retreated several paces. The trembling back-tracking continued until finally she whirled around fully, ears flattening, tail tucking, and eyes lowering as she slipped away through the underbrush. She knew not why she felt compelled to flee, but it was such a strong, instinctive pull that her fragile being instantly gave way to. Vanya's tiny pace suddenly exploded into a fervent dash through the lush undergrowth, increasing her racing heart's vehement beating into a frenzied pound that made her fear it would burst from her little chest.

And while she ran she couldn't help but feel a wave of sorrow for suddenly bolting from such a pleasant pup and how she would miss his cheerful company...

The clear eyed youth stared at the female as she turned to run but instead of chasing after her he allowed her to disappear beyond the brush. A quizzical expression lingered on his young face as he tried to understand what drove the girl to flee from him so swiftly just after they exchanged introductions. Did he do something wrong, or had he offended her in some way? Silver ears lay back against the boy's sleek head before he sat himself down and stared. Maybe he hadn't done anything wrong at all but the girl had something she needed to do?

Whatever the reason, Saeldur for the life of him couldn't understand what had just transpired and thought best to allow it to go. The pup laid himself down, curling into a small ball at the base of a tree in order to grow comfortable while his muzzle balanced on the top of his large paws. 'I wonder if I'll see her again?' he thought fleetingly before settling down to take a nap.
