An azure unicorn mare grazed near a stream. The picture was, at first glance, peaceful. A grazing unicorn, a burbling, rushing stream on its way to the final destination of the sea, the sun dappling the ground and striking a vibrant shine from the mare's coat as it filtered through the trees. But all was not quite as it seemed.
Tear could feel it hanging over her again. Like a dark cloud it was, wishing to change her from the erratic, skittish mare she was...to something else. It was a part of her, a part of her very nature, and the unicorn mare knew that on some levels, she was every bit as dark in nature as a kalona. The only difference was that she watched for this darkness within her, and she fought it. She didn't always win. She didn't even come close to always winning. But she tried. So she grazed, trying to pretend that everything was just fine. But her nostrils flared often, and her skin kept twitching as though harassed by flies even though there were none in sight.
