Sorry for not posting much a all here. Decided I would shift to just lurking for awhile to see if anyone would ask a question that I might have on my mind. You know. To avoid same postings of something..Yeah.
Anyways... This sometimes happens to me when both inside and outside and it has me cuirous. If I space out long enough I see little glittering orbs shifting and flying about. Not dust or misquotos or any other sort of bug. Any idea what this is?

The same happens to me, i have looked in some old books, they are supposed to be spirits using their aura as a protective bubble so they can travel freely. Not sure of the accuracy of this but it is what i have read!

First thing I'd ask is under what lighting conditions do you observe this? The eyes can play many, many tricks. It's probably glare or sunfleck or something of that nature. Everybody experiences that. If there IS no good scientific explanation, then I'd start looking into alternative hypotheses.

There are also what are called "floaters" which are small pieces of detached retena that you can see. They tend to stay in the same area of your vision no matter where you look, and kinda look like you're seeing something under a microscope.

Once while I was in the pool and looking up at the sky. Malkut: ...It sort of looked like that. sweatdrop

I tend to notice floaters when I'm looking at a light colored or well lit surface. Reading, especially, is when I notice them.
At those times of day, however, they could just be dust motes catching the light and reflecting it.

I get those all the time... damned eyes keep trying to fail me >.>

I tend to see them when I'm looking at a bright cloudless sky, or when I'm looking at a blank wall.

Huh. I figure I should've known that, Malkut, but... wow. Heh. sweatdrop
Detached retina? That... really sounds BAD, ya know? Hope that isn't something that gets worse over time (not that there's probably a lot you can do to fix it).

the logical explination is that the retinas in your eyes are firing. that is what causes you to see spots like that. It is also visible when you close your eyes and see colors and lights dancing.

Starlock Detached retina? That... really sounds BAD, ya know? Hope that isn't something that gets worse over time (not that there's probably a lot you can do to fix it). It's just small pieces, and they come and go. I don't have any right now, but I've had up to six at a time. I got them a lot more when I had contacts than I do now, come to think of it. I wonder if there's any connection?

They are more than likely the 'floaters' that everyone has been discussing...
