TheShrike has said that she'll be leaving as soon as her thread in the Chatterbox forum is finished and she's given out her last giveaway prize that's listed in the thread. With the way things are going, that will probably be right about the time she gets back from her vacation. crying
So, right now, we've collected about 50,000 gold. Lady Leopardess and I have talked it out and come up with two possible ways we could use that gold.
1. Use it to buy a Hammi Hat or Bammi Hat. We've got just about enough to buy that before our Chatterbox thread giveaway is over and TheShrike leaves Gaia for good. crying
2. Double the amount. Well, nearly. We'll need about 85,000 in order to buy a ZONY Discman or a ZONY MP3 Player to give away. That item is special to me, since that was the item TheShrike was giving away when I first met her.
The second option is the one I'd really rather go with, for that oh-so-sappy reason. What do you think, folks? Can we raise another 35,000 gold before TheShrike gets back? Can we honor the person whose generosity has not only enriched all of us, but has made us all just a little bit more generous too, by her example?
I know you're questing. So am I. I've decided to put off my quest, turn over every bit of gold I have and every bit that I can make this month, and give TheShrike a good sendoff that will show her she's had a positive effect on us. Who's with me? Come on, folks, dig deep as Sister Divash and Sister Lady Leopardess pass around the collection basket.

eek So it wasn't that cheap? sweatdrop Oops....I thought we were going to collect hundreds of thousands...Oh well.
I'll go for number two,as well.I'm gonna go fetch a bit more gold,too.

Congratulations and thank you to everyone who's been donating. We got the item we wanted as our "one last giveaway," and will shortly give TheShrike the pleasure of giving it away to whomsoever she chooses (in whatever method she chooses; and if anyone kvetches, TOO BAD, it's hers to give to anyone she wants). Soon as she's back from vacation.
You are all a bunch of amazing people, managing to pull something like this together just in a few short days. I bow to the spark of divinity within each of you.
