I don't know, but I was just wondering. Am I the only one here who actually loves to practice? I play tenors in drumline, and I love it. Practice turns me on, as with intense AP classes, I would much rather practice my tenors than study, I can't see how other people hate practing, I mean, how else will you expect to get better. Drumline is a beatiful/badass thing, and I look forward to band camp, 12 hours a day practices, and hanging out with my friends. I love band camp. I love to practice. And as for drum corps, I'm going to try my best to get into a div. 2 or 3 corps by the time I'm a senior.
Does anyone else feel this way? After browsing other forums, I'm just plain tired of n00bs/freshman who complain about practicing so much when it can be so fun.

I like it because I can hit the mallets as hard as I want (most of the time) to relieve stress of idiots.

Drumline practice is always fun, marching practice however...not so much. (I have a bad knee crying )

I love marching band practice. I'm a guardie, which relieves some major stress. Tossing a five with a sabre just gives you something to focus on other than school problems or problems at home. Its an intense rush and I'm glad that I can get my stress relief often.

I LOVEE band tis my favorite holiday.... Cause EVERYDAY IS BAND DAY! Woot...
I'm a freshman, but i dont complain. After playing since 3rd grade you kinda realize its not worth it. xD I love practicing we got a new song
THE ELF KING
it was a poem look it up its effin hilarious! "I want to touch you" Said the elf king to the child.
Whats the moral of this story? If Strange men tell you they want to touch you RUN AWAYYYYYYYYYYY *screams*
Rofl.
Anyway. Band practice is hard, but tis worth it if i want to get onto drumline next year, there going to have 3 open bass spots, and 5 snare! Woot.

I'm a guard, and I LOVED practice back when I was still marching. heart Especially once we had the entire drill down and were just perfecting it. I could just zone out and do the routine, forget about whatever stress happened that day. Band always put me in a 100000000000% better mood. biggrin
Band camp was the same way for me too, up until college. Before I left the band, people were like "OMGWTF, you liked band camp?!"

Holy Jeebus you sound like me. Haha, I play Tenors on the line and I just love it so much! Of course, this is my first year on Tenors so I really need some work, but thats why I love practices!!! I was first bass last year (not to mention I was a flutist in concert band)(I switched to concert oercussion this year) So this year is my first year playing diddles and all, but I'm managing. I just love extra practices called for drumline. Mainly because drumline takes away the stress of all my AP classes and extra language classes and all. It's a nice escape.
I'm a sophmore now, but I'm trying so hard to be good enough to make DCI after I graduate.
