I've been looking in stores everywhere for this game, but no one seems to have it. Were there limited quantities made or something?

GameStop and EB no longer carry any PSX games, for some reason. I ws lucky enough to secure mine before this happened. Anyway, call old school game stores - they might have it. If you still can't find anything, you're probably just going to have to order online.

Not limited quantities exactly. It's just none of the old Suikodens were popular enough to produce a good amount. And when people FINALLY found out suikoden was the bomb, it was too late! They weren't normally available, and people knowing that they could exploit the fans jacked up all their prices. Gotta love capitalism gonk

Bill_M I've been looking in stores everywhere for this game, but no one seems to have it. Were there limited quantities made or something? ALL Suikodens are like that. They're on and back off the shelves in less than a month, seriously. You HAVE to go to Ebay. Do it. When EB or something actually gets a copy in, they sell it for the same price as Ebay, and there's less of a chance of getting a booklet with it. And you MUST get the game. It's simply gorgeous. I was lucky enough to get it when it was still new in stores, for $15, baby. Same with the first game, though I think it was more like $20.

The game was made in limited quantity, so it's one of those rarities you don't get to see anymore today. You can try your hand in E-Bay, or you can also try Amazon where you won't have to worry about bidding proce and purchase it for a flat rate of $200.

Sorry to burst everyone's bubbles but... eBay is NEVER the answer.
It's just far too unreliable. You could get a faulty disk, nothing at all, or Crash Bandicoot in S2's case (although that in itself is worth something), all that for an exorbitant price. The game itself is worth 60$, as was its last shelf price. When you're paying 100$ on eBay, and you're not even sure you're going to get a working copy (much less get the disk at all), you're taking a terrible risk with your money.
Try stores. Call used game stores. I heard Game Crazy had this thing where they find rare games for you... not sure how reliable that is, though. Buying off the Internets should always be the last option. And eBay is only for emergencies.
Sorry, I'm terribly biased against eBay. Perhaps I've heard to many horror stories about it.

I've never had a terrible experience with ebay luckily. And I found Lunar at the crazy cheap price of 40 bucks as oppose to the 80 buck copy in J&J (which was only the game, and not the map the Special Box or manual, so essentially I got more for less). However for Suikoden 2 in particular ebay seems heinous. Just gotta keep your eyes peeled everywhere (including ebay for that rare cheap copy) to hunt old games.

Hellakasha They don't make them anymore and only 100,000 copies came to the U.S That's not helpful information. It's hard to find that old E.T. game these days. And they shipped more of those than there were television sets in the U.S.

Yeah, but that's because everyone threw their copy of ET out the window for it's sacrilege xd
Anyway every once in a while you can just type suikoden 2 into shopzilla and see what pops up. You never know.
