Irasshaimase, minna-san!!

Welcome to the journal of my Dragonfly, Kaiki. She may have to share this journal in the future, but for now, it is her's alone.

You are free to post in here, if you wish. However, I would prefer that you format your posts similiar to the way I do, please. For example, (()) when OOC, not chatspeak, and third person for RPs, please. If you would like to discuss these rules or anything else for that matter, drop me a PM.

And the Sun Shall Be Swallowed Up By the Moon

Heh. No picture yet! ^^;

Name: Kaiki
Nickname(s): Eclipse, Kai, Ki, Kiki
Meaning of name: Kaiki is a Japanese word meaning: total eclipse; totality. Since she's an Eclipse Dragonfly, it seemed to fit.
Past Stages: Unnamed
Mate: None yet.
Parents: Who knows?
Siblings: None yet.
Friends: None yet.....
Enemies: None yet, but let's keep it that way.
Likes: Tales and legends, swimming, looking at the sky, imagining
Dislikes: Confrontation, gore, other things that are TBD ^^;

Background: One night, in a small glen with a great, clear pond in the center, a new-born pup woke up with a cry. The very moment her voice hit the air, the eclipse in the sky above reached its climax. Struck by the sky above, the pup's pure white fur instantly changed to mirror the expanse above her. The eclipse soon ended, as all must do, but the pup's fur remained stained.

As the sky returned to normal, the pup opened her eyes for the first time, took her first steps, and tumbled into the pool. Facing death mere moments after being given life, the pup began to swim. She swam to shore quickly and fainted.

Hours later, the pup re-awoke to find the word "Kaiki" carved into a round stone set before her nose. Nodding to herself, the pup realised that this was her name. Stumbling around the glen, Kaiki learned how to live.

Description: Kaiki is like the eclipsed sky. She is black and white - two extremes. Mostly quiet like the black sky, she can be loud and hyper as the white light. She is a very quick learner. She is curious and caring, and very polite. More will be added here as she RPs.

Breeding: No way; she's too young, silly!
Roleplay: Sure! However, only 1 or 2 more Dragonflies, please. PM me if you are interested.
Posting Color: TBD. For now, it is Black.

A golden halo appeared on the tops of the trees as the sun steadily climbed into the sky. In a small glen, just large enough to fit two or three Elders, a small Dragonfly Pup lay on the shore of a crystal clear pond. The almost completely black Pup gently dipped her right rear paw into the water. Quietly, as she watched the ripples fan out, she began to speak. In a voice similar to the softness of new grass, she began to recite.

"Once upon a time, in a faraway land, a young prince lived in a shining castle. Although he had everything his heart desired, the prince was spoiled, selfish, and unkind. But then, one winter's night, an old beggar woman came to the castle and offered him a single rose in return for shelter from the bitter cold. Repulsed by her haggard appearance, the prince sneered at the gift and turned the old woman away, but she warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found within. And when he dismissed her again, the old woman's ugliness melted away to reveal a beautiful enchantress. The prince tried to apologize, but it was too late, for she had seen that there was no love in his heart, and as punishment, she transformed him into a hideous beast, and placed a powerful spell on the castle, and all who lived there. Ashamed of his monstrous form, the beast concealed himself inside his castle, with a magic mirror as his only window to the outside world. The rose she had offered was truly an enchanted rose, which would bloom until his twenty-first year. If he could learn to love another, and earn her love in return by the time the last petal fell, then the spell would be broken. If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast for all time. As the years passed, he fell into despair, and lost all hope, for who could ever learn to love a beast?"

Kigu was walking no where. Well thats where he thought he was walking. In the middle of no where. Well, at least this no where has those really nice and crunchy jumping bugs!!! What did that dragonfly call them...? Grasshoppers? But now I am thirsty... hmmm... where to go where to go? Well is I am no where then the means I have to start going somewhere so I think I will go.. ummm.... that way!!! Kigu reeled to his left and began to walk towards what he thought was the smell of water. I twas actually just the smell of the bugs and such that live there. As he came upon one of the more placid of pools he had ever seen, he hear a sweet voice. Aww, what a pretty sound! It must belong to a very pretty someone! Kigu smiled as he came upon the speaking dragonfly. And he admitted to himself that she WAS very pretty! He smiled and listened to her story for a bit being as quite as he could be, but as the story progressed he just had to say something, and say something he did, "Thats really sad! I feel sorry for the lady, but also a bit bad for the guy... maybe that was just going a bit too far with that punishment... but.... I think I like this story! Is there any more to it?!

Kaiki made no motion of having heard the question. She simply slipped her tail into the pond as well, watching the ripples. Once the ripples had all faded away, she turned her head to look at the newcomer. She smiled gently and nodded.

"Of course there is more. Ten years later, a beautiful girl, Belle lives in a nearby village. Her eccentric father, Maurice, gets himself lost while traveling outside the village and enters the Beast's castle. When the Beast discovers Maurice, he locks him in a dungeon. Belle seeks out her father and offers to take his place as the Beast's prisoner. Realizing that Belle could break the spell, the Beast agrees. He gives her permission to go anywhere in the castle except the West Wing, where he keeps the enchanted rose," she continued in a lighter tone.

Kigu cocked his head and looked as her sideways, "Well thats nice I guess... or maybe not.... I am not all that sure any more but thats ok! By the way my name is Kigaraku, but you can just call me Kigu!" He said with a goofy smile plaster on his face.

Kaiki nodded. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Kigu. You are the first Dragonfly I have ever met. My name is Kaiki," she replied with a smile as she removed herself from the pool and walked over to him.
