I was recently going through my old (mostly unused, now) MSN account contact list, re-organizing, deleting the assholes, you know the drill. While doing this, I found a contact folder at the end titled "People who think I have manparts".

That's when I remembered the time when I really wasn't comfortable being a girl for a year, year and half, created a whole new persona (mostly Livejournal-centric) that was quite male, and found out that yes, I too could crossdress to impress! biggrin But only in photos, as I live in a small town in Montana, and couldn't handle the damn gossip.

I did meet a lot of people over the internet during that time, and since I was in dude-mode, most of them still believe I am a guy. A small guy who lacks facial hair, to be sure, but a guy nonetheless.

What's weird is, I don't feel bad about this experience at all. Yes, lying is not a good idea, but I don't this even counts as lying-- I really felt like a guy at the time, so that guy became my alter ego. It made the real world a bit easier.

I got over that a little bit ago, mostly. Whenever I want to be a dude, I go on that LJ account and satisfy the urge, and all is well for another few moths.

In any case, you have an honorary tranvestite in your midst. *strikes pose*

Tell me this, then-- what weird stuff have you pulled over the internet? Ever done the gender-switch thing? Do you have an alter ego?

Inquiring minds want to know. ninja

I used to pretend I was a 19-year-old girl named Sienna who lived in Nw York. :'D

However, I'm often tempted to try convincing people I'm a guy. VERY tempted to go to Rally on my mule right now and seduce a n00b... xD

One of my good friends thought it would be funny to re-join a small forum that she's a member of, pretending to be something else. She got me to help her by editing a picture of her on Photoshop. I changed her eye color, made her more tan, gave her a nose piercing, gave her bangs, and made her hair pink.

As of now, the people on that site still haven't been able to put two and two together.

I've done that before.
Seduced some little n00b.
Hilariously funny.

You could follow the yellow brick road...

I pretended to be a guy once. It was fun!

or you could just tap your heels together and do it the easy way...

It's funny... I'm in three different girl-only guilds (I'm even a mod in one of them), and yet... I identify more with guys. Sure, I technically do have a v****a, and I can be girly on occasion - but more often than not, I feel like a guy deep down.

My female to male friends ratio is something like... 1-10, respectively. Someone asked me what I do when I want to have "girl-talk" with this lack of female friends, and I just replied "I don't think I've ever wanted to have 'girl-talk'..." I very much prefer playing video games and nerding it up with my guys - that girly stuff just isn't my cup of tea.

That being said? I'd much rather have a female body than a male's. Boys are disgusting creatures - and I 'd miss my boobs. xd

I have never done that before, although I have always wanted to.

I want to say it's George Carlin that had a routine on how God spent a while designing the feminine body (soft skin! curvy wonders! delicate form! etc.), but took like five minutes with male forms.

Whoever did that act said the line, "if you saw something like that sticking out of a tree, you'd go "Nah, that ain't right."" And that is all I remember from it.

My best friends tend towards strange people in general-- I don't think I've ever measured the female-to-male ratio. I think it's half and half, or thereabouts.

All that aside, yeah, I identify more with guys as well. My best friend may be female, but most of my other closest friends are male. They tend to have much less bullshit you need to cut through.

...I'm curious now. Any chance of me seeing these pics? I want to see if I can pick up some similarities.

Plus, Photosop manips done well = win.

Yeah, there are two people I'd consider to be my best friends; one's my fiance (male), and the other is my little sister... who's a lesbian, and also feels like she was supposed to be born male. xd She's really well-known here on Gaia, but has everyone believing she's actually a guy. Her girlfriend too - they pretend to be a gay couple instead of a lesbian couple. Kinda like what you did, but on Gaia instead of LJ.

A god friend of mine is into Asian mythology and culture, and I get lectured many a time on the signifigance of the yin-yang, and how everyone contains both male and female forces in side of them, and on like that for a long time. His explanation for it makes as much sense as any.

I've done that before. xD I think I was around 13 or 14 and one day I just got bored and decided to create an alter ego on AIM. I'd go in chatrooms and pretend I was a guy. It was kinda fun... until this girl kept IMing me afterwards. I was afraid she was going to get a crush on me so I quit doing that after a couple of weeks. @_@

I've done that to a far lesser extent. I went by the name my parents were going to give had I turned out to be a boy, Thomas. (Thomas Micheal Beckham, omg <3 ) I told everyone I was a Tommy. I got a LOT of come ons from chicks, surprisingly enough. So I started telling everyone I was gay. Then I started getting come ons from guys. rolleyes

Come to think of it, I don't really know why I did that. Must have been bored and stuck in a*****e mode.

o.o I used to pretend to be one of those cyber whores who ask for cyber all the time, and while people and I get into really detailed cybering (I would not be feeling anything), I would put something strange right in the middle and try to scare them, like
"All of the sudden, a demon crawled out of her womanly part, screamed "UGGGHAAA GRAAAAH!" and ran off to places unknown."
Or
"All of the sudden, her womanly part turned into a venus flytrap."

It was really immature, but really funny at the same time. xD

When I was 12 and 13, I was really into roleplaying online. And this is back in the AOL days, when they actually had RP chats.

But certain people would only play with you if you were of a certain age. I used to pretend I was 17, and I felt bad about it. But it was the only way to be able to RP, because they'd shun you if you were younger.

I got tired of it around the age of 14, and stopped lying, and just dealt with people.

I've never seen a heart that I couldn't break.
