 WTF, KISHI, WTF. HAVE YOU NEVER PLAYED POKEMON!? I guess he hasn't. How the HELL could lighting beat GROUND?! EARTH?! It's simple {Pokemon xD} logic that when lightning strikes the earth it is nullified because earth isn't a conductor of...like...anything. I mean, who hasn't played pokemon!? Basicly: Sasuke = Pikachu Deidara = Onix Pikachu VS. Onix = Onix wins. ... If I'm totally missing something, feel free to slap me. This is just the logic of a 13 year old fangirl with a broken heart. >.< {Note: I don't know if this should be the burning quesitons thread or not...xP

It DOESN'T make sense, you're right. Although, unlike in Pokemon, lightning can actually penetrate into the ground... However, what the comic, and Pokemon, says is true, the ground, and rocks, are horrible electrical conductors because of the ionization. Of course, under certain circumstances, lightning can actually even come from the ground, and go up to the clouds- but that's only when the lightning has positive ionizaton(the polarity gets switched, and that hardly ever happens- so like Sas-gay could actually reverse the ionization of his jutsu..). But I mean, the ground itself is like 99% of the time not affected by the lightning passing through, even when it's a really strong charge and goes all the way through to the underground water... So, it makes no freakin' sense!!!! If Dei's clay had water in it, then yeah, fine. But that makes no sense either because then how would it explode?! No, Sas-gay was just godmoding again...

I don't know why Kishi is defying logic when usually he can be realistic! (Except for the whole, magic ninja stuff) I agree. Earth does NOT conduct electricity and so Sasuke should be dead by now. ninja

KISHIMOTO HAS NEVER PLAYED POKEMON IN HIS ENTIRE LIFE.

Hmm. I forgot all about what I learned while watching Pokemon. That comic thing is effin' right! Dude. What was Kishie-no-Donna thinking?
Yeah. I think I forgot about what I learned, because after the one episode came on that made ofver 500 kids in Japan go to the hospital my mom didn't like me watching it. Then I stopped watching it after I had a seizure while playing Pokemon. @_@; Damnith you Pikachu!
