 Copper stood under the stars and looked at them with wide eyes. He remembered how not more than a week ago he had looked up at the clouds with Kasi. That had been an amazingly fun day for the both of them and that very day they had decided to stick together. They had been having too much fun together to separate. He didn't know if that meant anything special or not, but by now he wished it was. He turned to his friend and crush.
"Would you like to hear a lullabye?" he asked curiously. He had sang lullabyes to others before and he was not shy, even though his voice was not the best at times. He looked at her with a smile. The moon was so bright that everything was drenched in a sort of silvery blue light and he could see where she was clearly.

".. and we should go swimming tomorrow. " Kasi finished. She ahs spent the past week, just having fun with Copper. Talking, playing and eating! She's have to introduce him and Sunflash sometime! Thing was, they hadn't quite gona swimming yet. And Kasi loved swimming. "Or we could swim tonight! " She grinned, and looked at him as he looked up to the stars, and looked up aswell.
"A lullabye? " She blinked at him, lookingn back at her friend, who didn't quite fel like a friend anymore. "Sure! " She smiled. She'd enver heard a lullabye; her mother wasn't the sort to sing them. Rowanoak was a rather tomboyish mare, alot like Kasi, but less.. odd. Perhaps Kais had taken after her parents afterall! So she looked at him and waited.

"Swimmin' sounds good...I'll think of a lullabye on the way there alrighty?" he asked with a smile. He searched his brain for all the songs he knew, there was the classics and there were odd little things someone he knew had made up. He couldn't quite remember all of them but he thought he knew most of the words. He decided on one called All the Pretty Horses. It seemed to fit for some reason.

"Ok. " Kasi nodded, and nudged him to move, as she started to trot, then gallop in the direction of a nearby river, with a soft, calm flow. Her gallop was easy and soft this time, rather than pounding the ground with force. She was at ease right now, happy.
On the way, she mused herself with watching moths scatter out of the grass when she passed, flying out into the wair and then down again, sort of like a grasshopper, only grasshoppers jumped more.. frantically. She'd always thought they were so panicked and odd creatures!

Copper laughed at the moths and bounded around making them fly everywhere, he loved how gracefully they flew. He chased after a huge moth that had come from above. He stopped when he heard the sound of calm water and knew they were nearing the river. He smiled towards Kasi as they walked through some bushes to find the water.
Copper found a spot where there was not as many rocks and charged into it. He shook himself and looked up from his water speckled reflection. "Come on in! The water's mighty fine!" he said and walked in circles. This part of the river wasn't too deep, it only went up to his belly but he knew it got deeper farther down.

But where was Kasi? Afterall, swimming had been her idea. But seems Copper had lost her somewhere in the bushes. But soon, there could be heard the sound of pounding hooves, and something soared into sight, and splashed into the deep water, ahead of Copper.
"WOO! " She laughed, breaking the surface with her head and kicking her legs to move around in the deep water. "I love doin that! " She said, smiling and shaking her now soaked mane.

He laughed at her heartily. "Lemme try!" he said and got out of the water. He dripped all the way past the bushes and soon came dashing out of them. He threw himself in and came back up for air. He laughed again and shook his completely soaked mane. "That sure is fun." he said smiling. He went to deeper water and swam in circles humming to himself.
"Oh!" he said with a start. " 'Ya still wanna hear the lullaby?" he asked curiously and continued swimming. He dunked his head under a few times to clear his mane out of his view and he watched his tail float behind him.

Kasi grinned, and splashed water at the stallion with a hoof, but unfortunately, a horse wasn't exactly as flexible as a canine or anything, so they couldn't really lift their leg over their chest. So she had to moreso just.. stretch her leg quickly!
"Ok! " She smiled, and started to swim next to Copper, so as to actually hear him over all the splashing their hooves managed to do.

He smiled and slowed his swimming. "My momma used to sing this to me. At least I think...I dunno..." he cleared his throat and took a deep breath.
"Hush-a-bye don't you cry,
Go to sleep-y, little baby.
When you wake you shall have
All the pretty little horses.
Blacks and bays, dapple grays,
Coach and six white horses.
Hush-a-bye don't you cry,
Go to sleep-y, little baby." he sang in his somewhat deep tones. Now and then his voice cracked but he ignored it and continued.
"It's sorta short...but 'tis a good song." he nodded. He playfully nibbled at her neck and splashed her with his tail.

The mare listened to him, looking at the scenery around rather than actually at Copper; she'd be nervous if everyone stared at her while she was trying to sing something!
"Thats very pretty! " She said with a smile, headbutting him affectionately. "My mom never sang to us. or at least I don't think she did! " She said, shrugging. Maybe she sang to her younger siblings? "Do you have any brother or sister, Copper? I have four! Two of each. " She smiled. "Lando, Sun, Rosie and Auma!"

"I don't think so...Wow! 'Ya got lot's o' family! You're lucky." he said with a nod. He went to somewhere he could stand so that he wouldn't have to keep swimming in place. It was getting tiresome. He looked around. It was darker here as the trees around the river somewhat hid the moon, but the stars were still visible and he watched them shine with pleasure.
A question for Kasi popped into his mind but it was a huge change in the conversation they were currently having. He sighed and decided to ask. "Have 'ya ever been in love?" he mumbled and looked down at his wet reflection.

"Yup! " She grinned, she knew she had a big family, and she loved it. Her dad scolded her, but she loved him, and she loved her brothers and sisters and mother. But then Copper moved towards the shallower water, and she stayed in the deep for a bit more, untill he popped a question.
"Huh? " She blinked, caught of guard by this. Did she look like the type to give advice in these things? She swam over then waded next to him, the water reaching a bit lower than her belly where she stopped, shook herself, and sat next ot the bank. "Well, yeah. Me mum, me da, and me brothers an' sisters. " She tried, really unsure of what to say in this sort of situation. "Why? You love anyone? " Um.. another why; why was she nervous?

"Well...it ain't exactly love...yet. I mean like love love...'ya know like...I dunno how to explain it." he said struggling to get the statements out. Did she not know that he had at least a little crush on her? He had hoped before that she didn't know...But now he wanted her to. He was unsure if he should let his small feelings grow or die.
But with a heavy heart he began thinking of subjects to change the conversation to. He could tell that she seemed uncomfortable talking about it and he didn't want that at all.

Oops, did she say something wrong? But now that eh said it, she couldn't help but think.. She sort of felt like that, but not exactly sure why. "Well.. I kinda know how ya feel. " She shrugged, moving a hoof against the gorund, unsure.
"Who do ya like? " she asked, sort of cheerfully. Ooh, her friend liked someone! She couldn't help but feel a bit.. jealous, because she'd been havign such a good time with the stallion and.. well, she didn't want him to leave!

Obviously he was correct in guessing she had no clue. He inhaled shakily. Well, they were too deep into the conversation to back out now. "You." he said simply hoping he'd said it loud enough. He realized he was still standing in water and got out. He sat a few feet away from her so as not to make her uncomfortable.
He wondered who she liked. He hoped it was no one too mean or self obsessed. Copper wouldn't be able to hand her over to such a stallion. He waited quietly for her answer and hoped it wasn't a bad one.
