Toboe pricked his ears and shook the dust from his fur. He wasn't sure exactly where he was but it was somewhere in the barren lands. His bracelets jiggled slightly as he pawed at an abandoned rabbit hole. Nothing... The wolf sighed and lowered his ears.
How long until he could eat? He had heard deer earlier in the greener part of the land but he couldn't take one of those by himself! Not to mention the stag looked scary with its large antlers. He had caught wind of the rabbit and found it an easier target but that hadn't worked out as planned.
With a heavy heart he retraced his paw prints, moving back for the forest area. More chance of good there.

It seemed that Tsume was having bad luck on finding game, too. He had been in the Barren lands to find his long-lost brother to find that the other brother lived in a barren desert. It wasn't that bad since he and his other pack-mates had came from a tundra climate. Finding game there was harder than it was in the Barren lands. So far he had only caught a total of two rabbits, yet he was too thin to be called healthy. His ribs were showing slightly under his thick pelt. Grumbling, he was starting to head towards the forest when he spotted a familiar sight. "Hey, kid!" he yelled at Toboe, wondering if the other wolf could hear him.

Kiba's paws drug against the sry earth. His throat was dry, his paws heavy with exhaust. a sweet scent filled his nostrils as he lifted his head high taking in the scent. "Water." He whispered loudly. Quickening his pace as he grew nearer the blue crystal clear water brushed gently against the rocks along the edges. Bending his head low his tongue flicked in and out taking in long drags of water.

After a ways of traveling Hige laid back within the grass letting the sun dance on his fur. Yawning as he flashed his pearl white fangs. He blinked several times before forcing his legs under him attempting to stand. Stretching his sleeping muscels he slowly began to move out. Hige's nose picked up a familiar scent, "Kiba." He let out a low noted howl before following Kiba's scent.

Toboe pricked his ears and glanced over at the gray wolf. His golden eyes widened in excitement as he shoot off toward the other.
"Hiya! Wow, another wolf! I haven't seen one in a long time! I'm Toboe!" His words flowed out on one big sentence as his tongue lulled out of his mouth. " His bracelets jiggled when he came to a complete stop in front of the older wolf.

Tsume flicked an ear as he watched Toboe run towards him skidding to a stop right in front of him. Did Toboe forget him so easily? He canted his head to one side as he walked around the young wolf in a small circle, examining the other wolf to make sure that it really was toboe. "You forget me, kid?" he asked in a low voice. It was then that he caught the scent of two other wolves, but they were faint and too far away.

White ears shot up as Kiba slightly raised his head to the howl. A cool breeze rustled his fur as he walked away from the water hole. The voice seemed familiar. He only noticed then two farther and more distant scents. Kiba leaped onto a nearby flat rock, where he sat silently.

Hige leaped over a rotting fallin log as he was whipped in the face with an unseen branch. His nose told him he was getting closer. "Hang Kiba, don't leave yet i'm coming." Bounding out of the little patch of trees he spotted the white wolf sitting calmy on a large, flat stone. "Kiba!" He yelled happily as he skid to a stop barely stopping in time, panting for breath. "Thought...i'd never...find someone...familiar...to me." He said between breaths.

Toboe blinked for a moment before he recognized the other. "Tsume!" He shouted joyfully, rearing up. He leaped onto the other wolf and nuzzled him affectionately.
He jumped away before he could get repercussions for the contact and grinned, tail wagging quickly. "I found you! I got lost when that big sand storm hit! Where are the others...?"
He glanced around hopefully waiting to catch a glimpse of Hige or Kiba, his ears drooped when he didn't see them. He gave a sheepish smile to the older gray wolf when he stomach began to rumble. "Do you have anything to eat?"
(XD I thought a sandstorm would explain how they all got separated. Sound good?)

Blue opened her eyes and looked around, "This isn't right..." She found herself on a barren patch of land. She shook her self as she stood and glanced about. "Don't see anybody..." She closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep wiff of the air, catching a faint scent..She wasn't sure who she smelled..if it was even on of the group she remembered..."Well..One thing left to do...other then ignore my growling stomach..." She put her nose to the ground and followed the faint scent blindly, hopeing it would take her to anyone she knew...

He gave a toothy grin to the younger wolf as he received a nuzzle. he had to admit, he was worried about Toboe for a while. It seemed that the younger wolf had survived the sandstorm. It was too sudden for them to react to, causing all five of them to be separated. Hopefully the others are alright. seems like our fearless leader is doing fine, he thought to himself, half listening to Toboe.
"Actually, it seems that I found you, kid," he said in a husky voice. "But that doesn't matter now. As for the others...I have no clue. We all got separated and lost in this...unknown area. I recognize it, somehow, mainly due to my b...old pack mate in the cities." he almost said brother. he knew that the others didn't know that he was actually a twin that got separated from his other twin when he was a pup.
Hearing the younger wolf's stomach growl, he raised an eyebrow before shaking his head. "Sorry, kid. There isn't much game around these parts. the desert is too barren for that." He turned his gaze towards the forest that lay beyond the desert. "I'm sure that has some game, though," he said quickly.
[that sounds good to me]

Kiba grinned slightly as his fur rustled softly. After the sudden sandstorm he didn't believe he'd find anyone, especially this fast. "Great to see you again Hige." His golden yellow eye's gazed around the area. The rocky hill sides rolled on for miles as he sat in a single semi-flat area with a crystal clear spring nested in the center. Standing from the rock, he began to move through the thick trees. "We have to find the others, are you coming" He gazed back towards Hige while lifting an eyebrow.

Hige leaped to his feet as he began to walk towards Kiba. "Yeah of course I'm coming." he gave a toothy grin as he answered. The terrain was rough, so far he hadn't seen much prey in the area, and he was beginning to grow hungry. Ignoring the pain that shot through his stomach he walked to Kiba's side.

Toboe lowered himself to the ground, tail wagging. "We should find Kiba and Hige and Blue! Oh oh! We should howl!" The younger wolf sat back up and lifted a paw as he let out a loud howl, despite his size.
Finding his friends was way more important then eating.

Blue's ears caught the sound of the howl and stopped her in her tracks, her nose quickly rose to the air, "Was that...Toboe...?" She paused and then slowly, let out a howl in response before takeing off in the direction of the other howl.
