As he had grown up, Cyr'uhan had been more or less alone ... his parents didn't much care what happened to their offspring - and as the one male in the bunch, Cyr had gotten as far away from his three sisters as fast as he could. He'd found out rather quickly how much trouble they could be and he didn't much care for it. They could find another target, thank you very much.
Not to mention he was far too evil and scary for the likes of them. Not having met up with a lot of other kitsus, the blonde Nobody-child had managed to hold onto this view of himself even throughout the teenage years and on into his adult life.
He lived alone and he hunted alone - kunai proving to be very effective at taking down small animals for food, which he usually ended up eating raw. He usually didn't go anywhere near the headquarters, preferring the wilds - woods, caves, streams. In this, he was more like his father. He liked plants and wild things and rather thought their company was better than that of other thinking beings.
Today, though, he had wandered a bit closer to headquarters than usual ... stalking a rabbit and not paying a whole lot of attention as to which direction he was going in ...

Cyr wasn't the only kitsu watching the rabbit at that moment, however. Paradise was standing very still in the midst of some wildflowers the rabbit had hopped into. Fortunately she was downwind, but at a different angle than the Nobody, and she actually had a rather good view of both of them. The teen was oddly well camoflauged in the midst of the buds, though if Cyr chose to look he at least would spot her readily enough. She was, at least for the moment, remaining still. She hated it when other people interrupted her when she was trying to catch lunch, so she thought she'd do the courtesty of not interrupting someone else. Instead she sniffed delicately at one of the flowers. She rather liked flowers. She was named after one, after all.

Haunches wiggling juust a little as he concentrated fully on the rabbit, almost electric-blue eyes narrowed, focused in on that one spot of movement. He didn't even see the teen close by ...
Which could be a bad thing as he usually tended to use almost a heat-seeking sort of tactic with his kunai. With a sort of growling yell, he reared back on his hind legs, flicking several kunai with front feet - which seemingly came from nowhere.
Most of them did head for the hapless rabbit, yes ... though one or two swerved a little, possibly going toward the other kitsu.

Well, it was obvious from the guy's posture that he didn't realize she was there, so it was a bit of a surprise when two of the kunai swerved toward her. She thought for a split second that maybe he'd done it on purpose, but no... he seemed intent on only the rabbit. Well...
She imitated a dead faint right before the kunai would have hit her, falling limply as a rag-doll to her side. They passed over her via momentum, though they did swerve downward slightly. She also quickly curled up her tails and heard them thunk into the ground behind her. Glancing over to see if he'd gotten the rabbit or if the kunai had simply scared it off she commented dryly, "Well, that was unexpected."

Indeed, about three of those kunai had hit the rabbit, which was sort of ... twitching feebly now. Head held high, Cyr kind of minced his way over to said bunny, trying to avoid stepping on plants where he could. He shouldered through the bushes and then leaned over to pluck kunai out ... the weapons disappearing as soon as he did so. The ones stuck in the ground behind the teen also disappeared - going back to wherever he'd pulled them from in the first place.
He heard the other's comment, finally noticing that he wasn't alone ... but he did nothing other than sort of lazily turn one ear in her direction. Ah. Another kitsu ... not a threat. Once all of those kunai were out, he laid down and starting eating - actually being surprisingly delicate considering the way he'd killed the rabbit in the first place.

Paradise watched him eat for a moment as if waiting for him to say something and finally gave a derisive snort. "Oh, not the talkative type? Not gonna say anything for nearly killing me or are you really so blind you didn't notice your weapons swerving around in the air like drunk birds?" She stood up carefully and checked on the flowers to make sure she hadn't crushed any irreparably when she dropped. Some of them didn't spring back up quite as high but they seemed to be all right. Come to think of it pretty-boy over there seemed to be making a fuss about stepping on the plants too... Hmm.

At that, Cyr did raise his head, blinking at her with a sort of flat, almost bored look. The drunk birds comment sort of stung, but evil people didn't let such things get to them ... ooh no.
He raised himself up a bit, so he was quite literally looking down on her and replied, "No, I don't like to talk." He tilted his head then, pausing for a moment to think of something appropriately evil. "And it's too bad they didn't kill you."
There. That was good ... now back to lunch.

Paradise blinked at him... blinked again... and started laughing. "It... took you... that long... to come up with something that lame?" He'd taken five whole seconds to think of a reply like that? This guy was taking himself way too seriously. What, was he trying to be evil like Jack Spicer was? How did she keep meeting these people? If he'd been serious about his reply it wouldn't have taken him that long to come up with it... and while his skill with weapons did make him more intimidating than Jack... he just... he just didn't have the right air about him. And what was with the evil fad anyway? Evil only went so far as your belief system told you it was wrong.

Cyr bristled just a bit at that, though he fought not to show it, glancing up at her again. Why was it that this little ... annoyance ... wouldn't just leave him alone? What did he do to deserve this today?
"Stop laughing at me," he said, ears laying back just a bit. He was supposed to be evil and people weren't supposed to laugh at him.

Paradise did stop laughing, but raised an eyebrow incredulously. "And why shouldn't I? You were being awfully amusing." She sniffed curiously at a particularly bright red flower, looked thoughtful for a moment, and then moved to rest on her belly with her forepaws daintily crossed in front of her while she waited for an answer.

At that, Cyr blinked just a little and then eyed her, almost glaring but not quite. He wasn't really very good at that, as the only thing he'd ever had to practice it on was small animals.
"I wasn't trying to be," he said finally, sounding faintly confused but trying to hide that too once he realized it.

Paradise just looked at him for a moment before flicking a tail forward to knead at with one of her forepaws. "What were you trying to do then?"

Cyr opened his mouth, then shut it again ... blinked ... and finally just decided it might be best to go back to ignoring her.
He could tell he was screwing this up but he didn't know what to do about it. It was annoying and frustrating ... maybe ... she would just go ... away.

Paradise wasn't that easily put off, though. Well... maybe if she wasn't really interested, but at the moment she was. "Ignoring your problems doesn't make them go away, y'know. It mostly gives them a chance to be more of a pain in the a**." Not that she was really being a problem... just an annoyance. Snerk.

This time he was a little quicker on the uptake with a response, whirling toward her with a sort of growling noise. "Then maybe I should just kill you and have done with it," he snapped, eyes narrowing.
That way, she wouldn't be any sort of pain at all, now would she?
