At first, she thought she had just been gaining some weight. You know.. hanging around with Terasu and not prowling about quite as much as she had been. But as the days went by, she became more and more suspicious. To the point where her belly rounded noticably, to her atleast. And it just felt.. weird.. inside. It couldn't be.. could it? It had only been one time.
Charity had gone out walking, thinking to herself.. pondering.. mulling. Thinking of what-ifs and courses of action she could and should take. She was fairly certain at this point, and while she would like to talk to her mother... she should speak with her mate first of all.
Green tails flicked apprehensively, as she plodded along, coming back from her walk and seeking out the purple feathered kitsu that was her mate.

The glassy surface was calm, though it reflected the stern gaze of the kitsu staring in it's depths. Feathered tails curled on the tips as the male peered stiffly, waiting for a fish to come in position. It's as if the scaley creatures knew of his presence and kept away. Chest puffing in a huff, Terasu finally turned away and sat in hard thought.
Giving the lake on last glance, he sat with his back to it and dipped a feathered tail tip in it as bait. Let's just see how long that lasted. Purple jaw rested on his front paws as green eyes closed. He couldn't help wonder where Charity had gone. But she was a rogue kitsu of sorts, and he wouldn't comlain of her individual habits. After all, things were going quite smoothly in the whole of things.

Coming within sight of Terasu, Charity's expression seemed rather flat as she approached. Although amber eyes flickered slightly with amusement as she noticed his fishing methods. "Why not catch a rabbit? You're good at that" she commented, moving up to her mate to rub her face against his.
Sitting down at Terasu's side, she pondered how to initiate telling him... what needed to be told. Bah.. she never claimed to be good at this. Perhaps she should just be blunt and come out and tell him? Hm.

Eyes flicked open, almost napping with his little method of hunting. He knew that scent anywhere. A grin lifted his features as he lifted his head to the approaching femme. "Heh, too lazy I suppose. Plus you know I couldn't eat the bloody lump." He returned the nuzzle to his mate, watching quietly as she sat next to him. Now, he never had any experience or instincts of the topic bothering Charity. But he did know that something was bothering her, plainly by her quiet pondering. He tilted his head, featheres crown tilting as well. "What's wrong?"

"You're a lot more fun when you've had a little blood" she said with a wry grin. Green tails flicking and laying over Terasu's rump as she laid herself down. Brows then lifted at his question, and she looked to him, "Whoever said anything was wrong?" she said back innocently, wondering how he had picked up on that.
Although there really wasn't anything wrong... really. Well it all depends, actually. She hadn't expected things to go this route so soon, and he probably hadn't either.
She then smirked, "Remember how we spoke of making kits?" Charity leaning into her mate and sensually licking his chin. A light, rumbling purr eminating from her throat. "How would you really feel about being a father, hm?"

The male rolled his eyes at her mention of being more fun under the influence. "Is that so?" His own tails curled around her, and a n** was given to her shoulder. "Nothing said. It just feels....awkward somehow." The very words caused Terasu to frown at all the ideas to ponder. Her voice caught his attention, and he raised his brows at her words with a half grin. "Kits? Why, wanna make some efforts?" He certainly wouldn't complain with more fun time. And her purr only urged him to have such a time soon. His neck tilted at her lick, eyes going somewhat distant at the father word. "Perhaps..."

She had to commend him for his observation skills. Seems they've gotten to know each other very well, and quickly. But then.. shouldn't that be expected of mates?
A grin was given, "You know I'd love to, but really.. we don't -need- to make any 'efforts'. You'll be a father sooner than you think." There she said it.. now if he'll just pick up on it. But then.. some males are known to be a little dense, thus she woudn't be too surprised if she had to spell things out for him.

He pulled back at her strange words. Didn't need to? Soon enough? The male flitted his ears back in confusion. Surely she didn't mean she was....
"Charity..." He shook his head. "That was only one time." One brow rose and he patted Charity's nose. "That's a horrible trick Charity. Shame on you." Besides, he wasn't even sure on her opinion of kits. They had only talked so far, and in playful tones.

Of course he would react this way.. that's a male for you. Oy. She rolled her eyes slightly at his disbelieving tone. A n** given to his paw when he patted her nose. A smirk resurfacing on her maw, "It only takes one time, my dearest Terasu."
Brows lifted expectantly, "I am pregnant. I'm carrying your eggs." Her tone was a little more serious this time. A subconscious glance was given to her rounded belly. She wasn't showing heavily just yet, but you could see it if you looked. What Charity thought about having kits didn't matter. She was never opposed to the idea though, and seemed to welcome it more with each day. Although the hormones and maternal instincts were likely playing a hand in that.

Only one time? Terasu felt lightheaded with disbelief, never thinking it'd happen that fast. If ever, to be honest. Ugh, one time he decides to have such fun and it gets back at him in such a way.
Still, he gave a faint smile. Eggs? Were they really to be parents? Eyes glanced down at her belly, not noticing any real difference. Perhaps a slight curve, yes, but he thought that was just from the way she was sitting. Or...something, anything besides eggs. So that's what she had been pondering about. HE suddenly felt like she was the fragilest thing in the world, his paw moving to rest on hers. "How...long have you known?"

Well she was far from fragile, and Charity would make sure he knew that. Although she would have to be a little more careful, what with carrying eggs and all. She didn't know how many or how long it would be till she laid them, but well.
A roll of her shoulders was given, "I was suspicious for awhile, only recently was I certain." Her weight had just been gaining far too quickly for it to not be pregnancy. And the unmistakable curvature of her belly was a good indication as well. It was her body, so it was easier for her to notice.
Nuzzling into his neck, she pured once more, "We need to find a safe place... for when I lay the eggs." She just didn't want them sitting out in the open after all. They didn't have a house like Atae did. So they would either have to find a place in the forest like her parents did, or go to the Realm like his mother had.

Charity was by no means a weakling. Still, now they had more to concern over than their own healths. Kits were coming, who knew how many. And it was their job, his job, to be there for their safety. So, this is what being a father felt like? He hoped he could pull it off.
So, how long did it take for eggs to come? He had no idea, and could only wait patiently. A purr escaped him as she nuzzled against him, and his tails moved to graze her side. "A safe place?" Of course, that was something they couldn't overlook. A ping of guilt hit him, not having a residence like other kitsus he knew to shelter her. "Well, where do you prefer?"

Yes, they had a lot to consider... so much to consider it hadn't fully hit her yet. Being a mother was something she'd never done before, and she wondered how her mother had coped with having her and her siblings.
She silently pondered for a moment, what she wanted in a nesting spot. "Some place quiet, and comfortable." It would need to be warm and dry of course. "My parents chose a tree hollow, but it doesn't have to be that." Just so long as she felt secure, it didn't really matter where it was.

Yes, those were definite things they'd need to look for in a location. Terasu couldn't help but keep thinking of HQ. There were many rooms to choose from, so they'd have privacy and comforts of furnishings. Plus they wouldn't have to worry about weather conditions all the time. "So, how about the HQ? You can choose the room."
He stood and stretched, tails pulling as far as they could go. One was still dripping, having no success in fishing. Once done, glanced back down at Charity, a certain joy dancing in his features. "So, what do you want to do Missy?"

The HQ, eh? She thought this over for a few moments and nodded, "We can look" she agreed. See if she found a room that she liked and turn it into a place to raise their kits. Looking up at her mate's face, she liked the look of joy he expressed. It meant that he was content with becoming a father, and that was definitely good.
"How about we go to the HQ, find a room... and then have some... alone time?" A grin spreading across her maw. She liked having that fun time as much as he did.
