Hope you like a totally boring, watered-down version of the psx classic cause that's what you're in for!

I wouldn't call it boring, but yeah after a while you'll be like O_O I already beat the game, and I'm trying to complete all 300 missions (I just need like 10 more) in order to unlock/do the Judge Mission side-quest. But, ugh, for certain missions I need certain items that I don't even have anymore and it's so hard to find them again .__. The laws can be a pain, too. Dx
Which is why I prefer the PSX one ^^

Indeed, Advanced pales in comparison to the original. Then again, it's hard to make something that good twice, especially on a weaker system.

I don't have a Playstation [1, 2, or 3] so I can't really be disappointed when I compare it to that one.
I can be disappointed if I don't have fun. ;w;

THIS GAME WINS. I've actually beaten it. I cleared all 300 missions and even the special judge missions. There's the one last mission that won't save for me, and supposedly, rumor says that if you can clear that mission, you should be able to go to the prison and find Cloud, then when you beat him in a mission that's posted after you meet him, he wants to join your clan.
BUT YEAH, CHESTER, YOU WILL LIKE THE GAME. D<

I suppose if you never played the original you won't know what you're missing. But the whole learning techs from items thing just rubbed me the wrong way completely. Quote: There's the one last mission that won't save for me, and supposedly, rumor says that if you can clear that mission, you should be able to go to the prison and find Cloud, then when you beat him in a mission that's posted after you meet him, he wants to join your clan. That's not true and even if it were why would you even care? You'd have to have beat all the missions already to have him so there wouldn't even be any point to playing him! D:

RedPyramidSH But the whole learning techs from items thing just rubbed me the wrong way completely. ITT: Final Fantasy IX? Also ITT: Square's obsession with epic monotony to achieve great things.

It's different in FFIX because all of the characters are one class and usually you had the time to learn whatever (usually lame) technique an item had before you got the better weapon.
It was a lot more fun when you used JP to get your skills rather than having to skip down to the shittiest weapon so you could learn steal.

True.
Although, lol, I find myself skipping down to shitty weapons a lot. Maybe I went too fast.
