Death Note
Death Note is a very interesting series, IMO. I like it :3 My favorite character ish Near x3
Has anyone else here seen or read Death Note?

well well, didn't know P'g didn't like Death Note...
well, I totally loves it, and my favorite character(s) would have to be Matt and L. (can't settle on one, so they tie...)
have you seen the live action films? I only saw the second one, but they're supposed to be really good! (the second one was!!)

I've read a portion of it in the Shonen Jump, it seemed kind of interesting. Though it seemed that the creator had an intimate knowledge about the human anatomy and phisology. xd

true true! 3nodding the person who drew it also draws Hikaru no Go, so the author is a different person. (...if you didn't already know that...)
ha, I cheated, though...I read the last one, and I've only read up to the second manga...(what's worse is I've opnly seen the first episode of the anime...)
...but I DID see the movie! X3
...it seems that none would like it because of the way it's drawn, and I have to agree to a point....

I've finished the series but i've only seen the first movie.
I really liked the series. except for the fact that the manga had too many words.. XD my lazyness couldn't take it.
I thought it was well researched and well thought out. The character development was awesome. The way Light's eyes changed with every use of the deathnote was amazingly communicated.

yeah! go person who notices details! XD
...my favorite thing about it so far is really all the fans. that way there are more fanfics and pictures to read and see! (am I horrible or what?)
I also like the character development. it was very interesting the way Matsuda can actually aim pretty well with that gun of his! (which isn't technically a spoiler...>.>)
I suggest seeing the second movie too. (Death Note: The Last Name) It rocked as much as the first movie! (I also suggest seeing at the anicon, because of all the screaming fans! X3)
Also really liked the dedication shown to the series and characters that the actor's had. (besides Ryuk and Rem, who were digital. But they still did a good job...) Also the way the script was really acurate. (only wished they included Mello, Matt, and Near...)

chances are that if you didn't like the manga, you won't like the movies MAINLY because they are as similar as they possibly can. (PROPS TO THE DIRECTOR FOR THAT!!! XD)

oh my gosh, I didn't know there was a movie. But I'm so into it now. Adultswim started showing it at midnight last week, and it was so rad. My friend even let me read most of the magna.

oh yeah. the dub.
it's pretty good, since they got Sasuke (Naruto) to do Raito's voice and Jiraiya (Naruto) to do Soichiro (Raito's dad). And I have to admit that Gin (Bleach) works for L because of the deep voice. (I have to admit, the scrambled voice was really working me up because it sounded like L's voice was going to be all cool and like how I had imagined, but then it was really deep. But it works, as he is old...)
...and I LIKE MATSUDA'S VOICE!!! Don't ask why, I just do.
...all right, it's good overall. (they could have done better for Ryuk, I amdit...) I can't wait till tomorrow for the third episode. (fangirls)

i own all of the manga, but i havent seen the movie, but i reeeally want to. I disagree about his eyes. i believe they change when L says "Kira, what your doing evil." and later they change when he gives up ownership. my fav character is Ryuk.

okay, my info was wrong...Raito is voiced by someone from the Gundam series...and L isn't done by Gin, as far as I know...
and I noticed that too. But Raito's eyes are really spastic. (You own all the manga? well, look forward to the movies! They rock!)
