Does anybody know the exact number of times Jean Grey has died and been brought back to life? I want to say 4... but I know it's a bit more than four, and we're talkin Jean and/or Jean-Phoenix.

Well, if you want to count it, there's the time Wolverine stabbed and killed Jean at least four times in a single issue of Phoenix Endsong, only for her to be reborn each time.

Here is the problem tho... and this is going to make it harder for you... some of those times it wasn't Jean gray... it was an evil being (I think it was the Phoenix) pretending to be Jean gray.

It could really go either way, whether or not Phoenix was Jean. There's evidence to support both arguments, though I think the current belief at Marvel is that Jean and Phoenix have always been one. And that's one of the reasons I don't really care for Jean: her history's too complicated.

They think Jean is dead too because Phoenix and Jean are one but infact Jean was hiden by the Phoenix under water because she was trying to take back The Phoenix's power and be good.

I understand what you are saying. I'm just not sure if they really mean as one or just they were ment for one another and only one another but worded it weird. I know that Jean's daughter gets The Phoenix power but I am not sure if it was because of her Mother or what. You could be totaly right but I think that Marvel just worded that weird. Plus you have to be careful. Any Marvel comic with 'The End' in it isn't always true. It's their thought of what the end maybe. I know Marvel had a story line a year ago and changed it because too many people knew it before it was fully out.

Jean was good but once she turned into The Phoenix her story started to slowly suck for me. And yeah her Daughter has the power if i'm not wrong and I don't even want to read about her."

So many branch offs of X-Men... in one the Phoenix came to Jean when she was piloting that shuttle...
In Ultimate the Phoenix is a Godlike entity inhabiting Jean...
Bloody hell... I just want to know, approx. how many times Jean Grey has died, be it Jean Jean, Phoenix Jean or Jean with the Phoenix IN her... let's just make it simple.
We've got four from Warsong/Endsong, one from when Jean was in the cocoon and the Phoenix masquerading as Jean was killed. That's 5 that I can remember and I honestly don't feel like pulling my X-Men comics off the X Shelf.
Any more than 5?

More recently, when Xorn/Magneto killed her.
There was once when Sentinels attacked the X-Men and Hellfire Club. Everyone thought Jean had died, but she'd just jumped into Emma's body.

"You could either randomly pick a number and explain why you picked that number like 3 because the other times she was not Jean but she was the phoenix or you could pick six and just go with that or try and find a marvel website."
