"What a Drag..." Green eyes flickered close as the female Ulaya let the warm breezes of the noon day wash over her shadey resting place. Even though there were no clouds in the sky it was to hot out to play, and the heat had forced the many Ulaya's into colder sections such as water or shade. Keerty had made her temporary nest under a large willow tree that sat near a small pool of water that was hardly even considered a lake.
"Why does it have to be so hot out today?... This definately is a drag." Sighing in a slightly frustrated fashion, the black, orange and white Ucolian fluttered her wings as she began to think about other things.
"I bet that little freak of a Ulaya is having a hard dealing with the heat... Being part snake and all." The sad truth was she actually cared for her adopted brother Sinent, but she hated to show it since they had such different personalities. "Hmph!"

Today was a great day. The heat was almost perfect. A little on the hotter side, but Tawny found good in everything. He walked gently along the edge of some willow trees that were spaced out pretty nicely. His silver eyes sparkled when the sun hit his eyes. Ah, life was great, really. Or at least lately.
He wagged is tail fluff as he walked. His hears were up and cheerful, everything about him was just too cheery sometimes. But that was just how he was. Calm, yet very happy. He hadn't noticed he was in the presence of another.

Yawning as she stretched her legs and body out, Keerty opened her eyes and survayed her surroundings. Nobody was insight so she was free to relax and be lax... that was until she caught a glimpse of an orange from out of the corner of her eye. Cocking an eyebrow and turning her gaze to the right, Keerty located the sorce of the bright color quickly, for it was the only thing moving for many yards.
"Now who is this?" Narrowing her eyes to get a better picture, Keerty was able to make out the coloration but not the gender. "I guess I'll have to wait and see who it is."
Twitching her nose and her left ear simultainiously, the multi-colored Ulaya waited contently for the other to draw closer.

It didn't take long for Tawny to walk closer to where the female was, though his attention was still off in a different direction. He had just started to watch some birds that had decided they were going to fly over him. Of course, that didn't bother him. Birds were gorgeous creatures, or at least to him they were.
They could be annoying, if others weren't use to them at all. His tail continued to wag as he slowed down to watch them fly about. He smiled as he watched them. "So peaceful." He said to himself still not realizing there was someone else there.
He turned his direction to the path he was taking, finally noticing that there was some white, black, and orange blob mix with the yellow grass. His head turned towards it out of curiosity to realize it was another ulaya. "Oh....Hello" He said.

(Blob... thats the second time you've used that to describe her colorings. x3;; )
Twiching her stubby rabbit like tail to the side and then to the other, Keerty watched the male draw closer, though she had seemingly gone unnoticed until the Orange Ulaya turned with the path. Sitting up as the male greeted her, she fluttered her wings before greeting him back.
"Hello there."
What an odd male... oh well. At least he'll be a temporary distraction to the heat... Nodding mostly to herself, Keerty kept her eyes focused on the Ulaya that was facing her.

(( well, out of the corner of his eyes it would look like blobs. XD;; See?))
Tawny had finally noticed that she didn't have blobs, they were little speckles of black and orange. Well, rather small spots. His full attention was now on the female. He felt slightly rude for intruding her peace and quiet. "Sorry, If I interrupted something." He said politely as he stood still.
He would have kept walking if he didn't notice her, but since he did it would be rather rude to not say something. Unless, of course it was some one who wanted to hurt him. He didn't know if she did or didn't, but she hadn't gotten up yet, so the signs looked good.

(True... xD;; )
"The only thing you're interupting is a serious bout of boredom." Yawning slightly, Keerty shook her head slightly causing the long patch of hair to fall into her eyes. Looking up, she smiled at the male who was now standing completely still only a few yards away from her spot under the willow tree. "What, if you don't mind me asking, are you doing on such a hot day like this?"

Tawny raised an eye brow. "Oh? You don't like to have fun on days like this?" He looked up to the sky and looked back down at her with a smile. He took a few more steps closer to her so he could have a better conversation with her.
"Oh? I was just out exploring." He said with a smile. "Since there isn't much else to do, better to find out what you live by." he rambled on.

(*ties necklace to her head* >>; )
"I prefer to rest on days like this, to save my energy for more cooler temperatures. I'm sure that if it was a little bit cooler I'd be up and about." Flexing one of her paws that had gone to sleep, Keerty's silver bangels glinted slightly. She had been happy when she found out that her head band did not match her bangels, it made her different from those who matched. "Exploring is fun. I'm pretty new around here so I have still much to find out about what I live near."

Tawny looked at her with interest. "I see! Yes, it's a bit hot out." He said as he looked back at the sky near where the sun was. "But that shouldn't stop anyone. There's a nice watering area that could help anyone cool down." He said to her and nodded. Though, he hadn't really went swimming in awhile, it sounded rather good. Especially in this weather.
"Oh? I wouldn't really know who was new and who wasn't." He smiled. He truly didn't get out enough at all. He wagged his stubbed tail more. "I haven't exactly met a whole bunch of ulaya." He finally noticed she had wings. The second of her kind with wings he had met. They were rather interesting, though he was a bit afraid of heights.

"Well then..." Keerty exclaimed as she rose to all four feet, "... How about we go swimming. I mean I was thinking about taking a dip anyways, and the more the merrier I say." Folding her wings onto her back, the splochy female began to walk down the shadey slope towards the lake, but stopped as a thought hit her. Turning around to face the orange male, Keerty grinned. "I forgot. My name is Keerty... but most Ulaya and humans I've met just call me Kee."

Tawny smiled. "Ok! It'll be fun!" He said turning in towards the way, then turning back to her as she said her name. "Oh! I feel so stupid, and rude!" He said.
"I'm Tawny!" He said cheerfully." Pleasure to meet you, Keerty." He said and gave her a bow. He smiled at her. "The water is close to here, so you won't have to worry about getting too much Sun." He added.

"Nice to met you Tawny." Flicking an ear back and forth slightly, Keerty grinned before looking up at the sky. "Well I think that since you know the way to the water better than I do, you should be in the lead."
He's been nice so far, so I think I can trust him... at least he's good at being a distraction from the heat, even though he enjoys it much more than I do.
(A fart of the brain. ><)

Tawny nodded and turned around taking a small leap and walking the way that was fastest to the water. "It's all covered too. Except the middle part." He said turning his head back towards her. "It's like a huge puddle." He said, his tail wagging like crazy.
"It'll only take a few minutes!" He said again head turned back to her again so it was easier for her to hear him. His paws weren't that quiet as he walked, but he didn't care if they were loud or quiet. The grass made lots of noise each step.

"Alright." Jogging a few steps to catch up with Tawny, Keerty fluttered her spot covered wings. The grass beneith her paws crunched slightly telling her the heat was starting to take its toll on them. Finally drawing up to the orange male's side, she grinned at him. "A big puddle huh?"
