Obsidian was stretched out on her back on her hospital bed staring up blankly at the ceiling. She was waiting patiently for Ra to arrive and take her back to the dorms. The pain medications that the doctor had given her was marvelous stuff, but had not been able to repair the damage that had been done mentally. It was just like after she had woken up in the hospital after her overdose. She was numb. Completely numb from head to toe and she couldn't feel anything. No sadness, no fear, nothing. Attempting to breathe in deeply, she winced as her ribs twinged and let out a soft whimper. She just wanted to go home.

Ra hurried through the hallways in search f the room Obie was in. He had been so anxious when he had gotten the call from the hospital and dropped everything, including several classes to come and pick her up.
Swallowing as he approached he was not sure he wanted to see what kind of a state that b*****d had gotten her into.
"B." He said softly, walking into the room and frowning at all the plasters and bruises. A nurse followed behind with a wheelchair so that she wouldn't have to walk and hurt herself. "God B, I'm so glad you're safe." he said, walking across to her and placing a hand on her bruised cheek.

Obie blinked as she heard Ra's voice and turned her head to look at him as he rushed over to her bedside. Safe. The word sounded funny to her, though she smiled a little as he placed his hand on her cheek. She felt safe now that he was here. Carefully pushing herself up, she sat for a few moments on the edge of the bed as a wave of dizziness swept through her. The doctor had said she did not have a concussion, but that she might have a headache for a few days. Swallowing a little, she reached out with her good arm and held it out to him.
"Can you help me get up?" she asked him. "I just want to go home." She was lucky, she had been told. No serious head injury, only two broken ribs, and a few cuts and bruises from where he had hit and bit her. The worst of it was her hand. Her fingers had been nearly destroyed by the blows Izumi had delivered to them and they said that they would just have to see how well the bones healed before they could talk about regaining the motion in them.

Ra frowned and breathed deeply as B sat up. Reaching out he took her arm and helped her up slowly. She was a mess and it irritated him. How could someone do this to another person. Especially a man to a woman. it really was criminal.

He drove her back to her room carefully and helped her up and to the sofa which he had already gotten all comfortable for her return.
"I brought you something." He said with a smile as he eased her down. "It's a little silly but I thought it could keep you company." he said, reaching into his pocket and handing her a little beany black labrador like the one from the game they played.
"Can I get you anything? Water or food, drugs?" He offered. Grabbing a blanket and arranging it over her.

Sitting slowly down on her sofa, she looked up at him as he said he had gotten her something. Smiling at the silly little toy, she took it from him and studied it for a moment.
"Thank you," she said softly. At his question, she looked back up from the toy and set it down on her lap. "Please... can you just hold me Ra?" she asked keeping her eyes on his.

Ra looked ather and smiled, taking a seat and slipping his arm around her gently. he really did not want to hurt her more than she already was.
"I'm sorry." he said, kissing her cheek and keeping his lips against her skin. "I should have been there to help you. Or at least do something to stop that psycho."

Obie leaned into him comfortably and shifted slightly to rest her pounding head against his.
"Don't apologize Ra," she said with a small shake of her head. "It's done. I was stupid. You told me not to go and I shouldn't have. I should have known that he would be there," she said softly, looking back down at the cute little puppy with a small smile. "I just... wanted to be sure that Makito was really alright."

"Shhh." he said, smoothing his hand over her soft hair gently. "You were just trying to be a good friend." he frowned a little and kissed the top of her head. "I've spoken to the police. Let's hope they can do something." he said, looking across the room. "If not we might have to get some outside help."

Obie blinked as he said that he had talked to the police and turned carefully to look up at him.
"Why did you do that?" she asked with a troubled look in her eyes. "If he finds out he could come after me," she said, the fear she could feel starting to creep through her becoming evident in her troubled blue eyes. "You shouldn't have done that Ra."

Ra frowned and looked down at her.
"What the hell was i supposed to do?" he asked, looking into her blue eyes. "I was worried to death about you. he could have killed you and he could try again. whether I go to the police or not."
Sighing he eased away from her and went to the kitchen. "You can't keep hiding away. none of us can."

Obie cringed slightly at the frustration she heard in his voice and watched him rise from the sofa.
"There are worse things than death," she said softly, keeping her eyes on him as he went into the kitchen. Dropping her eyes down to her lap, she reached up and wiped her hand over her lips as she could feel Izumi's tongue slipping over them and his hot breath beating down on them. "I just... don't want anymore trouble," she said softly, shifting to get more comfortable and looking down at her plastered hand.

Ra frowned and set about making some tea for them both.
"He will never leave you alone as long as you let him get away with all this." He said, softer. "Though, if it is what you want I will call them and tell them to stop looking."
He brought their tea over and sat down next to her once more.
"Please B, promise me you will never step into his path again?"

She didn't know what she wanted anymore. She wanted him to pay, but she that somehow it would come back to haunt her, so in the end all she wanted was to forget.
"I swear Ra," she said, looking up into his eyes. "I just... I just want to forget it all happened. I don't want to have to deal with the police, with having to relive it over and over again. I just... want to be with you and forget," she said, slipping her good arm through his and hugging onto it tightly.

"It's all right." He said softly, tilting her chin up a little so that he could kiss her gently. "i'm here and I'll stay as long as you want me to." He said, breathing through his nose and wrapping his arms around her. "I'll keep you safe and make it all go away."

Obie curled up as best she could into his warm embrace and closed her eyes. She could feel the full effects of the medications they had given start to take over and all she wanted to do was sleep. She could do that now, now that she was safe. Nothing would ever harm her while she was here in Ra's arms.
