There are no rules anywhere. The Goddess Prevails. Unfortunately, we're also on Gaia, where the MODS prevail. Which means we've got to follow the TOS. Other than that, do what you like. Post what you like, where you like, but TRY TO BE A LITTLE BIT CLASSY if you decide to spam. Gaia has a perfectly good Chatterbox for mindless nonsense, here we aspire to a higher quality of nonsense. - I was going to bring sexy back... but I lost the receipt. -

But mostly for the hell of it.

everybodyknows AEtherclaw rattatouie ˙˙˙˙˙˙spooɟ pǝǝu ı puɐ ¡¡¡ɹǝʌǝu eatith thou hand i love my baby, she is fine. she eateth not her hand, she licketh mine. also, in a manner of correcting on the fly, in such context it is not "thou", it is "thy". biggrin He could have meant it exactly as he wrote it. Maybe he wasn't telling her to eat her hand; maybe he was telling a random hand to eat her, although that would still require the grammatical correction of a comma: "Eatith thou, hand." In that case, the second person singular thou would be referring to the other, and the command would change form. Instead of telling the other to eat their hand, the speaker would (in a fit of seeming-schizophrenia) be commanding their own hand to eat. I shall assume that this was AEtherclaw's meaning and, because of that, I must further assume that either A) He is schizophrenic, or B) His hand is actually capable of eating people. Because of the frightening consequences of either of these two possibilities, I would suggest that none of us correct his grammar in the future, for fear of inciting some split-personality rage or of being eaten by a renegade hand.

Your logic is flawed, for you assumed that your belief in where he was grammatically wronged is one of the ways in which you stated. And you are not taking into your little theory the idea that perhaps Everybodyknows's correction was the right one. Therefore the option would be added that he was telling her to eat her own hand. Still, all three options are quite disturbing. My recommendations are that we hogtie AEtherclaw and surgically attach a muzzle to his mouth so he can't talk. At any case, it would prevent him from hurting himself or others at a result of schizophrenic outbursts, consumption by hand, or attempts at commanding others to do horrible things through the Jedi declarative statements.
