I loved that movie, but does anyone else think that the ending might have actually been happier if Constantine and the girl both died and went to Heaven?

I friggin' LOVE Constantine!
If John had died he wouldn't be able to fight the demons. I think keeping him alive was more like a second chance for him to make his life meaningful. Besides, he and Angela wouldn't have been able to do the skinny ^.^ heart

I loved constatine to. i liked the ending, he got the second chance that he wanted.

you're right, he did get a second chance to do things right, but he had been working towards heaven all his life. I would think he would have been a little dissappointed.

It's good that he ended alive. Cause:
1) That leaves the possibility of a sequel.
2) Constantine can keep beating the crap out of Demons.
3) He can die all over again

there are still people to beat up demons, i think after what he just did he should have been aloud peace, and gone to heaven

I Like that Movie too. I own it.
Funny part is that my one friend hates the movie for the Religish story but would watch it over and over.

It's not like since he's still alive he can't go to heaven. Because he sacrificed himself to save two people, he was forgiven of his previous sins, and the only reason he's still alive is because Lucifer wants a bit more time to corrupt him again. As long as Constantine never sinned majorly again, he would still go to heaven.
Is anyone else but me seeing the main point of the end? He got to live and he got the girl. To me, that's a happy ending. They seriously should have made a sequel.
