hey! I'm going to camp tomorrow and I need the Snipe Poem. I got it on my first year of camp but I can't find it anywhere. If you have it can you pm it to me thanks!!

Yeah, that's what I was wondering, I didn't even know there was a snipe poem. However I thought I might mention how few guys that I know that know what snipes are.

hehe i remember my first snipe hunt. Ahhhh the memories, sorry I know of no poem. We have a tradition at our camp we always take the yearlings out on a snipe hunt, it's good fun.

the first time I was asked on a snipe hunt I thought it was stupid, who chases birds? in the middle of the night?... I didn't go that time... or the next time... eventually they had to tell me what they were, but I had allready figured it out by then.

as a councelor at camp...i could not condone snipe hunts, or other forms of initiation....
but i did here of one that was very disturbing....(and kinda funny in a john wayne gacy sort of way)

well in my scout group...a snipe is almost like a mini austritch(sp?) they can run realy fast and run into trees (actualy rocks throne by older scouts when "hunting")than u try to catch them...
but a snipe is a real bird...i dont think it looks like an austritch tho razz xp

I was always told they were a small squirell like animal that has red beedy eyes that you can see in the dark.
