Well this allwoence will go to a pair of pants. But anyways August's allowence is enough for Magical Melody. Is it worth it? And if it is, please give me details about the game. (And this is my first post in the guild because I'm new here)

Well I wouldn't say HM: Magical Melody is the best starter Harvest Moon game (if you are a starter), but hey, it's fun, and even my little 9 year old step-sister is doing well playing it.
The main object of the game is different then most Harvest Moon games. This time, you're objective is to return the Harvest Goddess from her stone slumber.
You have to acquire notes for it. Acquiring notes ranges from simply shipping your first item to reaching the last level in the Lake Mine. (There are 100 notes, but you only need 50 to return the Goddess back to normal.)
But like most Harvest Moon games, another thing to do is to get married.
And you can choose wither you would want to be a girl or a boy.
But also there is a character who is the opposite gender of what you are, making him/her marriageable. (It's Jamie) Though Jamie does not have a "love rival". All the other possible spouses have rivals, but I don't think they get married in this game, so they're all up for grabs. But if you marry Jamie, the games ends and you'll be back to where you last saved.
(Meaning you better not save the day you proposed to her/him. Or else you'll have to start all over!)
And instead of being only able to farm on your land, you're able to till soil and grow crops on free land. (but not the ones that people own.)
And you can buy more land throughout the game if you befriend the Mayor. (also, buying enough land should give you a note.)
I say go for it.
It's really addicting and fun.

I really enjoy MM,.... But I think the best way is to try renting a few different games to see which version you perfer best <3

Behind MFoMT, Magical Melodies is my fav Harvest Moon game that I've played. It offers new challenges that make the game more enjoyable. By having the note challenge, it makes you try new things. And you have to keep heart levels up or people will move away. It's a game all of it's own and I can't get enough of it. >w<

I have only played two HM games. A wonderful life. and another wonderful life. I'm pretty good. So I will buy it.

lol both those were the same. the first i played was when hm 64 first came out.
