So, I went to YouTube and watched "Jesus Camp" in its entirety, all at once. I mean, I had seen bits and pieces, but not the whole thing, so I did it-- I watched it.
And now I want to hide under my bed and cry...
...and I can't even fit under my bed! crying

I saw Jesus Camp a little while ago, and I -gasp- liked it. It's a movie that really makes you think.
(Yes, there were a lot of crazy people in it. No, I do not support fundamentalists. But I did like the movie in general. It gave a mostly unbiased look at how one group of people "celebrate their religion".)
I don't know if I disagree with indoctrination, but I do disagree with yelling at children and telling them that all the world's problems are their fault. Making kids cry for no reason is terrible, but when you claim that you're doing it for a higher power... that's just messed up.

What's shocking is not so much that there are a few crazy people willing to steep preteens in words like murder, war, missions and hell, but that hundreds of parents are willing to pay money to throw their kids into these peoples' grasps.
