I Buried My Friend Today

I buried my friend today
My soul burns red with pain
No longer will I touch his face
Or caress his skin again

I buried my friend today
God, what have I done wrong
To have him stolen from my arms
When my faith in you was strong

I buried my friend today
Like him there is no other
I can't walk this path alone
Every breath is a struggle

I buried my friend today
I saw his eyes were blank
I didnt want it to be him
As my heart slowley sank

I buried my freind today
A loss by suicide
I saw his just moments before
He chose to take his life

I buried my friend today
There was nothing i could do
I should have helped him out
But I couldnt find the clues

I buried my friend today
I saw him hanging there
I whispered the name Caleb
And ran my fingers through his hair

I buried my friend today
And all I've done is cry
As I fear my new feeling
The wanting of suicide

Angel With Sad Eyes

Often we are judged too quickly
And people say they know you
They focus only on your image
And on every wrong that you may do

There's an angel in my life
Who is so misunderstood
The people around dont trust her
And she cry's beneath the moon

I cant bear to see her face
As she looks at me and cries
Although she is an angel
She's an angel with sad eyes

Maybe "They" are right
And she's been figured out
But to me she's still an angel
Who often has to shout

Too often she is lonely
And she shouts out to the skies
"Why must i be this way?"
