Today is Gackt's birthday. If his real year of birth is 1973 like many suspect, today will make him 34 years old, only 6 years older than me. I'm 29.
I want us all to share on this special day what it is about Gackt that inspired you in one way or another.
I'll even go first.
His compassion. He loves all his bandmates and everyone who works with him like they're his family. Even his ex-bandmates are loved by him. When one of them needs his help, he drops everything to help them. He has a good heart and a good soul. I strive to he like him in that aspect. More compassionate towards others since there's so few people who are like that.

I agree with EuthanasiaOfSanity a lot. He's just a great man in general. He was the one that introduced me to J-Pop/Rock. Well me watching the Mars DVD I borrowed from a friend. I was aw struck.
He inspires me in so many ways that I can't think of one. I'm even listening to a playlist of him right now, and typing of the Shojo Beat interview of him to post. He lifts my spirits when I'm in a bad mood, sometimes that tears come to my eyes and I start to cry. A good cry though, but sometimes not. It happens when I need to let a cry out. He puts so much into his work. His heart, soul, his personalitly, everything he is is in his music. He is the music and the music is him.
*sniffles*
(And he doesn't look half bad at 34. He's hotter than most teens! Stratch that way hotter. xp )

lol... oh i'm a bit early, but not if i'm considering international time in Japan. :XP: then i'd be on time. lol. anyways...
what did Killer G inspired in me?
...to really love myself and to love others. lol. there really isn't just one good point about him... there are millions! it's hard to just say one thing that he does that inspires me. this dude, man... his mentality and physique... you know... he isn't afraid to express and think. he inspires me to be more... to be more healthful... to be strong (physically and mentally). he inspires me to take time to think about myself and to think about others. he encourages me to push myself to achieve 110% and beyond to make others happy. so... happy birthday Gackt! heart *hug!* o(*^-^)o *hug!* heart

he just has wonderful stage prescence. when you look at him you think he was born to be famous or make some change in the world.
i might just send him a happy birthday card even if it'd be late. ah so nervous already.. o_o

... I love Gackt cuz he's ... Gackt. He's unique in everything he does. He likes to stand out and he does it with ... gacktness lol.
I agree with the ppl before me but the one thing that he inspired me to do *it's stupid so don't point it out sweatdrop * is to feel. Life tends to suck big time and the emotions he puts in his music makes me feel happy and calm. Every time I listen to his music it goes to my soul and it worms it up.

Gackt-sama has inspired me in so many ways. I'm not going to list everything he inspired me in though...that'd be a long post.
xD
Anyway...by listening to his music for these past 3 or 4 years I had begun to actually try to LISTEN to the music. What I mean is...to get the feel of it. I almost always look up the English translation so I cant try to get the true meaning of it. I just want to know what Gackt-sama is trying to say to us all. I don't only do that to his music...I do that with just about every musical artist I listen to...that is if I can find their English translation lyrics. Gackt-sama's music also gets me into a relaxed state where I can just think about anything.

Gackt has inspired me so much in a bunch of different ways, I don't even know how to start. Even though I heard of him from a friend, and, out of mere curiosity, looked him up, he's really grown on me. I'm really glad that on that one day, I decided to check him out. He's been a great role model and hero to me.
He's so very dedicated to his work, and he gives his all no matter what. He's talented in a variety of ways, and it's because he's worked hard. He's never given up, and he's strong-willed. He's passionate in what he does, he's...real. Just...I don't even know what to say. Gackt is a wonderful person, and it's because of him that I strive to be a better person.

All of you have provided such wonderful reasons, and I totally agree with you all. For me, Gackt has really raised the standards of entertainment. I have yet to watch a concert that is as creative, exciting, and amazing as his. I love how he can be serious but can also be goofy. ^^ He is a fantastic person who I would love to meet in person some day.

I'm a bit late on this, but what I have to say is that.....
Gackt's greatest gift to me was the inspiration to...live. His music always affected me in the way that I felt empowered listening to it. And then I read his autobiography. His words were so inspiring they made me cry. It was at a time when I wanted to give up hope on life and those words inspired me to look for my own spinning lantern.
