Apparently yesterday, tecmo announced a game called "Dead or Alive Online" for the chinese computer. Team Ninja isn't working on it and deatails are scarce, but Kotaku has a little bit of news on it. But basically its being distrubuted through china by a company that specializes in casual games like MMOs. The first link is the announcement and the second link shows some artwork and what looks to be DoA styled avatars.

The game looks like it'll be crap, but I just can't help to learn more about it.

Yeah it seems like a strange idea. And I dont think Team Ninja has much to do with it so that definitly doesn't bode well for it

ive heard a bit about it. i ve heard that team ninja are handing over the usage rights to a small team to put it online. just so they can raise more money to produce other games
