Breathe in, breathe out, be calm. Breath in, breathe out, be calm. A quiet snarl built up in Caden's throat and his mane bristled. Too bad it wasn't working. He pawed impatiently at the handle of the door as the vehicle neared the gym, anxious to be off lest he lose his resolve not to harm the driver. The lion bounded out of the car the moment he heard the lock click, not even bothering to wait for it to come to a complete stop.

Caden was an angry little lion. Caden was a very angry little lion who had excercised the maximum of his self control in allowing his stepfather to drive him to the gym and having done so, intended to vent his frustrations on the nearest object, hopefully a punching bag.

Tyven was already inside, a favorite of the trainers as she'd been coming since she was a toddler. They had their own rules worked out now, so no more biting fiascos with the employees has occured in a long, long time. She was warming up, actually, and had been for the past hour. Punching the bag with rapid force, she soon switched to sidekicks, focusing on her target, not on her life.

That is, until a furry boy entered. She didn't notice him, however, the headtrainer did. Today was a sparring day, however, the entire class was adults, except for Tyven. "Welcome!" The man smiled down at Cadentau. "You must be here to get some punches in. We've got your partner already. See the tall gal in the corner?"

Tyven was tall, sure, but thin. Pretty, and therefore deceptive, as she was a fighting machine. "Tyven!" Her lavender eyes shot over to the two males, and she stopped kicking to stride across the mat, silently. "This'll be your partner for the next hour, if he has the guts, that is. Boy, this is Tyven Reever. What's your name?"

Face blank, Tyv ran her gaze over him. Small, but well muscled... Hrm. A D-corp? He appeared to be some sort of lion.

Still fuming, Caden nodded silently as the Head Trainer pointed out Tyven. She was tall, taller than him anyway, and scaly. Caden wasn't really the brightest crayon in the box, but even he could tell she would be a tough match. He might have thought her pretty, but he was too angry to notice at the moment. Guts? Oh he had guts all right. He stared confidently into the tall girl's face and announced his name. "Caden Wolfe."

Tyven's fangs flashed in a grin as she headed toward the sparring part of the mat. She was in a good mood. Hitting things always did that to her. "What's your style?" She loved to kickbox, but had been practicing wrestling, since that was something she needed to learn to fight with her dragon, and to enhance her beserker skills.

Her fists and feet were wrapped, and other than that, she simply wore a tank-top and some gym shorts. "We can start when you're ready." The girl certainly was, her stance defensive.

"I'm a boxer." he replied, which was half true. Actually, Caden didn't have much of a style at all, and had been relying on brute strength to do damage, something which he had plenty of, assuming he could hit his target. Like a true lion, his limbs were stout and solid and his wrists were stiff, although he wouldn't have nearly the range that Tyven would. If maybe he could get her on the ground.. She was bigger than him, but she would lose that advantage if he could take her down. With that strategy firmly in mind, Caden charged her with a flurry of punches, intending to pounce on her and use his weight to drag her down once she was off balance.

He hadn't really had any training, had he? The difference between Tyven and Caden was not only skill, but also method. Tyven didn't think about her strategy, like he was. Don't think, react. Fast, flexible, and startlingly strong, like the snake she was modeled from, the preteen didn't bother to block all of his punches, simple shifting to the side to redirect them past her body, taking one firmly in the shoulder, but spinning with it so she came to a firm stance, already twisting to strike at him with a quick foot, withdrawing it just as swiftly so he couldn't grab at it.

His idea to take her down, if he did, probably wasn't that great of one, considering that Indigo snakes had no venom, and therefore relied on holds, choking, wrestling, and violently thrashing their opponents against objects, the ground, and just pummeling them to death. She could definitely brawl, if it came to it. In fact, her training was something she pursued to control her natural strength and aggression. Still. Her should ached. He was a hard hitter.

Ah, this felt good. She was quick and slippery, which meant most of Caden's punches missed, but it still felt good just to go after her with all his strength and not have to talk about it afterwards, even if he wasn't using his claws. Tyven's foot snapped out, catching him hard across the ribs and knocking the air out of his lungs. He didn't even bother to block, still attacking her for all he was worth. Why couldn't humans understand the sheer exilharation to be fighting just for the sake of fighting? As a lion, especially a male lion, it was built into Caden to fight. This was his purpose and he felt truely alive acomplishing it. Tyven understood it too, or so it seemed. He felt it in her kick, that spark that never seemed to exist in any other opponent. Then again, maybe she wasn't human. Was she another DCorp? Was fighting her purpose as it was his? Caden made a note to get to know her better before throwing himself back into the battle with new vigor. His tail whipped wildly as he adjusted his balance, varying his attacks to include several sloppy but forceful hook kicks, the instinctive move for disemboweling, had he been using his claws.

He just kept coming. By now, most of her human opponents would back up, to access her, rather than lunging at her once more, but Caden didn't. Grinning, her fangs flashed, and her eyes lit with pleasure, grunting at he caught her with one of those kicks, not even scratching her resistance, thick skin, but causing her to hit the ground.

Even as she lost her balance, she reacted, throwing herself down with more force to plant her palms on the mat, and swing her legs up and out to strike at Caden's chest, seeking to use the powerful, long limbs to kick him down, and away from her as she spun to jump at him. Attempting to wrap herself around him like the wrestling snake she was, the lavender-eyed girl began to use her fists, pummelling him.

He could have sworn he felt something crack as both of Tyven's feet slammed into his chest, the heel of one foot catching on his collarbone. She sure wasn't going easy on him and that was just fine. Caden tried to twist around the attack, but he overbalanced and fell hard. There was no time to recover before she was on him. Caden thrashed wildly, trying to knock her fists away and jerk away from underneath her at the same time. He rolled, thrusting his knee upwards at her back, as his hands were more than busy.

Hissing at the sharp pain of a knee in her lower back, but glad it wasn't her stomach, Tyven rolled with it until she was out the way, and simply attacked again, one long arm going to wrap around his neck in a choke hold as her jaw opened to reveal fangs, which she shot toward his shoulder. The fight had quickly devolved from spar to brawl. It was a good thing she hadn't reached beserk-mode yet.

The head trainer noticed immediantly, and grew nervous, not exactly sure what to do. He knew that the two children could take him down together easily, and spoke into his walkie-talkie for backup.

Fine, if she was going to use her teeth than so was he! Caden's lips peeled back to expose sharp canines. Not bothering to waste his precious breath snarling, he twisted his head to the side to reach the arm that bound him, as he felt her fangs start into his shoulder. Quickly, he unsheathed his claws as well, curling his body upwards so he could slash at her face with his hands as well as his feet. Tyven might have been the better wrestler, as well as considerably bigger, but Caden easily had twice the number of blades. His blood was fired and choking or not, he wasn't about to give up!

((Does bite automatically = poison? If so, Caden's functioning will start shutting down next turn.))
