Morgana seem to be off in her own world as she sat at the table picking at her food. Since she return from the Medium her head was spinning. The thing around her neck was a child, and what was worse it was a sin child. It explain why all the bad things were happening.

Setting her fork down she wraps her fingers around the necklace. She didn't know how she was going to tell Torvil. What was worse was she was going to have to take care of it. That was scarying her worse then anything, she wasn't a mother. Nor did she ever wish to be one, she couldn't afford it.

If she could she would break the necklace, but the thought was killing her inside. When did her life become so complex?

Torvil was napping quite soundly. He'd not been sleeping well as of late, and this had been the first real time his body and mind had agreed to let him sleep, and sleep well. Well, well enough to dream anyway.

A cavernous room all around him, quiet and slightly chill, enough to make him shiver a bit, it wasn't too bad, but a tad unsettling.

"You dream I see," A voice, familiar, yet unfamiliar at the same time.

"I sleep, if that's what you mean," Torvil replied, turning so he could look at the person who was talking to him while he slept.

"You dream, you dream of good things, you dream of things you want, this is good, you should dream and well..." The old man chuckled, his body bent over a small table piled high with talismans and herbs, his eyes were milky, he was blind, but saw more than any could ever guess.

"I try my best to hope for the best, but it's not always so," Torvil started to slip into the older way of speaking, weather because of the dream, or his own respect for the old man he was unsure. He could not place where he had met him before, but he knew it would come to him in time.

"Yes, yes, we all must sometimes have doubt, no life can ever truly be perfect, you know this well, I have seen the dreams of sadness, you have done well," The old man laughed. "Well indeed, for one so young as you, and not yet so wise as I,"

"Revered Elder, who are you to speak to me in such a way?" Torvil finally broke down and asked, his curiosity finally getting the better of him.

The old man laughed, "Haha, I am Yaan, the old Shaman of your tribe, I come to check on you, been many moons since you last dream, many moons since you dream well, I come see why you not dream, and I find why, and I am sad. But now you dream, and I am glad," The sing-song of his voice filled Torvil's ears, and he could not hep but smile.

"So nice of you then, Great Shaman Yaan, to visit me so, one who has not been home in so long," Torvil touched his heart and then his lips and bowed his head in reverence to the elder.

"Hah, why you need come back? You found what you sought here, you have what you seek, bring it if you wish to come, but we move on without you," The old Shaman cackled. "Though, visiting might do you well, might help you dream, forgot much of the old way have you, not good for dreaming, not good for what you wish to study," The Shaman smiled. "But enough, rest and sleep, and dream, I will leave you," And then the dream dissipated into a long chain of happy dreams that Torvil had long since dreamed before.

Tossing and turning a bit in his sleep as he spoke to the Shaman Yaan, Torvil did not wake for several hours more, finally dragging himself out of bed with a yawn, throwing on a pair of pants, and slowly shambling his body out into the kitchen, where he aimed to make himself a pot of tea. He did not check to see if Morgana had come home yet, his mind having not woken enough to really focus on such things, and if it had, he would have sought her out to talk with her about the possibility of visiting his old home. But for now, his mind was churning with thoughts and memories of the dreams he had been dreaming, and he smiled, for they were happy thoughts of hope, love, and life.

As the kettle whistled, he set the tea to brew, and slowly began to awaken more to his surroundings, noting the floor, ceilings, and walls of the new apartment he and Morgana had moved into, having felt the other was really two small to house two comfortably, and Torvil had managed to set earn them enough money to make the rent and live, comfortably enough.

Once his tea was ready, he took the cup and headed out into the living room portion of the apartment, and settled down on the couch, looking towards the empty fireplace. It was the beginning of a warm summer night, so it was unlit, being a mostly showpiece gas model, but it sufficed for Torvil's needs as he scratched absently at the scales on his elbows. Closing his eyes he sipped his tea, his mind still quite a tizy of thoughts and emotions as he brought his brain back into a rigid segmented, compartmentalized, ordered machine. Smirking afterwards, he let logic and reason go, and once more settled into the gentle chaos of his mind. No, tonight was not a night for analytics, tonight was a night for feelings and thoughts to flow freely.

He wondered if Morgana was home yet, and weather or not she would be in the mood to have a chat with him, perhaps sit and have a long, long chat with him, about where things were going to go. She was still young, but then, in the large schemes of things, so was he, though a grandfather already, but that was a moot point anyhow, and a father of a son who was almost ready to become a man in his own right already, which filled him with a mixed sense of pride and dread, the dread being for his wish to have raised the boy better, been more hands on.

But that was also moot, the past was done, and Torvil would not dwell on it anymore than he had to given his moods. Shaking his head, he sipped his tea, staring into the abyss of the fireplace, watching it stare back at him.

And then he laughed, closing his eyes and letting his head rest on the back of the couch. He laughed, and his glee filled the apartment.

He was finally whole.

Morgana was indeed home, with her still half full plate left on the table, she had moved to the balcony. The wind caressed her skin as she stare up at the sky, trying hard to figure out a way she would deal with this. She was a bounty hunter, she couldn't handle taking care of a child.

Her line of work, she would have to leave without a second thought. She put her life on the line everyday. She never knew when the day would be her last. Shaking her head she glance towards the apartment when she heard the laughter.

Rubbing at her face she glance down at her arm as she looks over the elven writing on her arm. Why did life always do this to her? She finally finds her older sister, and they hate her. Now this? Did dhe do something that bad?

Growling she smacks the banister hard as she takes a seat back in the chair. She just wanted a normal life, no more trouble. She wanted to be happy with Torvil. But now she wasn't even sure what to do.

Closing her eyes she just remains quiet as runs her fingers over her arm.

Laughter subsided into chuckles, chuckles into almost inteligable giggles, and giggles finally faded to silence as Torvil finally came down off his own internal rambling. Standing slowly and sipping the last bit of his tea, Torvil moved out to the balcony himself, passing Morgana and smiling at her as she sat silently rubbing her arm. Seeing her brought joy to him, how odd it was, after two failed marriages, that he would be able to find someone who he could share his life with.

Okay, one failed relationship and a failed marriage, it really didn't matter either way, the legality of it or not, what he had, had before, both times, was something he thought he could never lose, and he had lost them both, glad of it for now, since he was with Morgana, but there were times he wondered if they had ever really been made to last, or if this was what he was meant to have.

"Peaceful," Torvil said, finally breaking the silence, looking out over the city skyline off in the distance. If anything could be said for the place, it had a wonderful view of Durem, just a spit from the city. Of course, that came with it's own risks, but Torvil felt confident that their locks were good enough.

"You look nice tonight," he added, not really an afterthought, but a new thought, as if he was taking the time to stop and notice things. Moving over to her chair, he moved his hand down, and let it run across her cheek lightly, his fingers just barely brushing the skin, a whisper of a touch.

He smiled.

"Of course, you always look nice, and tonight is no exception," Shaking his head he laughed lightly, happily. "What I should have said, is that you look extremely nice tonight," He smirked at her, his index finger reaching up to gently brush her left ear, like if he were petting a baby bunny. "I'd say good enough to eat, but I'm not a cannibal."

Morgana tries to hide the sadness in her eyes as she opens them to look at him. What would have clue him in those was she didn't react to him messing with her ear. Lifting her hand to her ear she takes him hand into her own as she stood. She was actually trembling slighty, but she was trying to keep that under control.

She didn't know how she was going to explain this at all. She was more scare that Torvil would leave her because of this. Looking down at the necklace she bites her bottom lip shaking her head.

She couldn't be more scared then she was at this point. This child was not only using her life enegry, but soon would become a child she have to take care of. She wasn't ready to handle that, she was far too young in her eyes.

Something wasn't quite right, and Torvil could see this, for one thing, Morgana was not at all acting normal. Shaking his head slowly he slipped his hand from hers and pulled her into a tight hug, just keeping her close to him, giving her comfort.

He didn't know if he should ask if something was wrong, or if she was just tired of stressed. She'd had a not good year so far, at least from what he'd known of it, what with her family and her job and all, she lived a high stress lifestyle and he knew that could definatly drain a person quickly. Finally he decided it would just be better to ask.

"Hey, is something wrong, love?" He ran a hand through her hair, his other arm keeping her close to his body, letting her know he was there for her.

"Something at work? Your family? Something else?" He asked, not knowning what was going on in her life aside from the stress she seemed to be having, along with a not so easy to deal with run of bad luck awhile back.

He suspsected nothing, and knew nothing of her real problems, as heavy as the repercussions would be for him.

((Either your hiding, or my aim is acting up on me.))

Morgana lays her head on his chest for a moment, just so she could calm herself. Breathing in slowly she wasn't sure how to bring this whole thing up. She knew it wasn't going to be easy at all, the whole way home she was trying to figire out a way to tell him.

Looking up at him she bites her bottom lip "What is your thoughts on a raising another child?" she didn't really think that the wasy she said that could come out really wrong. She just wanted to get his thoughts, as she wasn't sure what she was going to do. How could she be able to take care of this child, when she didn't understand what love was.

She knew the love she had from Torvil was real, but to give it to a child, she didn't knwo how to do that. All her life she was treated badly, would she be able to change that for this one?

(( Haha, Neither, I am posting as I wait for paint to dry so I can paint more @_@ ))

The words Morgana spoke sombered Torvil more than the thought of Morgana being upset. Well what did you expect? It's not like ya'll have been abistinant, it was a matter of time after all, why are you suprised? Chuckling inwardly to himself, he realized that if what he thought had happened had happened, then he'd deal with it in the only way he knew how.

Be a father.

Smiling and brushing her cheek again he chuckled. "I wouldn't have minded waiting a little longer to have the pitter and patter of little feet about, but if you're pregnant then I guess I'll just have to deal," He laughed a little, hugging her tight.

Of course, if he had known the truth, he'd of felt a lot more releaved that it acutally wasn't HIS child, since well, he'd been hoping to have Morgana to himself for a little while, but oh well, such things are bound to happen when you're amorous with somebody, it's not like either of them were really barren, at least, not to his knowledge, he'd never talked to Morgana about it because he figured it wouldn't come up until after they got married.

Wow, until after they got married! He really had plans for this relationship didn't he! It was moot now of course, he would help her raise the child as best he could, after all, if he was the father that was his job, and even if he wasn't...

Wait... How could he not?! The only way he couldn't be is if Morgana was seeing someone on the sly, and even having been betrayed that way before, Torvil didn't see the signs of it on her, so he was pretty sure that wasn't the case. If she was pregnant, it was his seed, there was no doubt in his mind about that.

Was there?

Shaking his head to clear the thoughts that he'd take a closer look at later he smiled. "That is of course if you're pregnant... If you want kids... Well, can we wait until we get married? Please?" He laughed a little, having no idea that the problem wasn't that she neither pregnant nor desired childrend at the moment, but that what she carried about her neck was the source of a fair amount of problems in their future.

((Oh fun *chuckles*))

Morgana coughs as she shook her head at Torvil "Wait you think I'm pregnant?" she seem to pale as she took a few steps back away from him, only to hit the the table. Looking up at him she wasn't sure what to say. Not only did he just say she was pregnant, but he was talking of getting married.

Yes she thoughts of it, but after everything Torvil had been thought she didn't want him to go through it again. Not that she would ever hurt him like the woman in his past would.

Chucklign she brings her hands up to her mouth "I worded that completely wrong. I'm not pregnant Torvil. You see...um..." pausing she lifts his hand to the necklace around her neck "This necklace...it contain a child. I spoke to a lady who basically told me this child chose me as its mother. Its the child of Sin...." she looks down as she closes her eyes.

It would explain everything that had happen from the moment she put the necklace on. Why everything bad was happening. The child was causing it as it grew stronger.

She was glad to know that Torvil wouldn't leave her with this child. But not she was more then excited that he wanted her in his life, as his wife one day.

Torvil chuckled and ran his hand through his hair. "Whew! Dodged that bullet," He shook his head, "All joking aside..."

Looking at the necklace for a moment he nodded. "Even if it is a 'child' of 'sin' I will help you raise it as if it were our own, after all, a child is a child, and all children deserve to live,"

Even if they turn out to be complete and total hellspawn...

Moving in again, he pulled Morgana close, and kissed her forehead. "I'll help you every step of the way, it's not like you'll be rid of me that easy..."

Morgana arches a brow before she nods shakes her head "But I'm not ready for this Torvil. With my life, and my job. I can't raise a child. I love you for wanting to help me with this. But I'm just not ready for this, I don't know how to take care of a child, nor do I know how to love them." sighing she steps away from him rubbing at her temples.

This was hard for her because she never knew what love was. She understand it now, but as a child she didn't. Looking up at Torvil she frowns "What if I mess up Torvil? I mean what if I'm a total failure as a mother? I don't want a child to hate me." she was scared to admit things that would show her weakness.

But then this was Torvil, he wouldn't judge her.
PostPosted: Sun Jul 01, 2007 8:05 pm

Torvil chuckled, "Love, your doing the same thing every parent has done when they know a baby is on the way... You'll do find," He brushed her cheek softly before smiling.

"After all, you have me, and I've raised a few kids in my day, trust me, it's not as hard as you think, you'll do fine, and the child will love you, don't worry about messing up, everyone makes mistakes, trust me, I'd know..."

Morgana tilts her head towards his hand, she was glad tha at least one of them knew what they were doing. Closing her eyes she nods slightly as she took a deep breath "I'm just scared I'll do what my parents did to me. I don't want to be like them, not ever." opening her eyes she bites her bottom lip slightly "I want to proove that I am loving and caring."

Looking down at the ground her head was spinning slightly as she brought her fingers up to the necklace. Alot was running through her head, but was getting her was what he said earlier. Did they really get to that point? That he wanted her more then just a girlfriend? Chuckling she takes his hand in hers "I love you Torvil."

She knew that she grown alot from the night she got brought into his life. She just never thought that she would have been in a place where she would mean the world to someone.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 02, 2007 1:22 pm

Torvil smiled and squeezed her hand tightly. "I love you too Morgana," He leaned in, and kissed her gently. He held the kiss for some time, before slowly pulling away.

"Don't worry about being like your parent's... Just give the child your love, don't worry about anything else, just make sure the child is well cared for and everything will be alright, I'm going to be here to help you..."

Reaching up, his fingers hovered above the necklace... He didn't dare touch it. "So... Do you know when it will... well... You know..."

Looking down at the necklace Morgana shakes her head alittle "No I don't know when it will appear. The Medium didn't tell me, all she told me was I had to take of it when it does appear." looking back up at Torvil she takes a step towards him laying her head on his chest.

She didn't want to be a mother, not yet. She wanted to have Torvil to herself for a bit, get to know what it was like having someone truely love you. Placing her hands on his waist she chuckles alittle "Its strange, I honestly can't see myself as a mother Torvil. But at the same time, the thought has me curious how I will do."
