Prologue
Zim was not as stupid as everyone thought. He knew no one thought he could properly invade. He knew he was breaching his banishment by going back to join the invasion plans in the first place. But he wanted out of Food Cortia. Frying things wasn’t fun and he wanted to be free. All he wanted was some technology to leave with. If he had tried for real he could have taken over Earth in a matter of days. But he didn’t want to. What he wanted was to be free and Earth was his home from the moment he landed there.
As Zim made his way to his new planet he thought of all the new things he could do with this new start. All the way GIR sang the ‘Free Song’ which was worse than Britney Spears’ ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’.
When he arrived he scoured the planet and found the basic structure of the human body, but because it was dark he couldn’t tell what colors they were. He then set up his house along with his and GIR’s disguises. He found the internet and search engines. He went to an online dictionary and typed in ‘alien’ to help with his research. He found the definition amusing and decided to use it. Then after doing a bit more searching online he went to bed. He wanted to know stuff about the planet to fit in.

Chapter 1
The next day he went to School. Mrs. Bitters had him say hello to his classmates.
“Um, hello. I came to this… country to escape my old one and be free.” He almost slipped up and said planet. Oops. He had to be more careful from now on.
“Am I the only one who sees that he’s an alien?!” cried a pale black haired boy in the front row, pointing at Zim.
“Duh, Dib. He said he was from a different country. Weren’t you listening?” groused a girl with purple hair sitting in the back without looking up from a handheld video game. Zim hung his head. He knew what the boy was talking about and he knew he was right. He made his way to his desk without a word. His desk was right next to Dib’s.
“I know what you here for alien. I will prove it to the world.” Dib spat at him.
Zim looked up to him and looked him in the eye. “I just want to be free. Can’t you please just let me? If my people find out where I am we’re all doomed.” he pleaded softly. Dib was startled. The sincerity in Zim’s eyes was unmistakable. No one could miss it. He realized his mistake. He had assumed the alien was evil. But Zim was not evil. He regretted his nastiness immediately.
“I’m sorry. I thought you were here to invade or something. Please forgive me?”
Zim thought about it. He didn’t want to befriend someone who would turn on him. On the other hand the human seemed genuinely sorry. And he did want friends. That was the whole point of the new start. He smiled at the other boy and nodded before listening to the teacher’s ramblings on how the universe would implode in upon itself. It amused him. Everyone knew that only large universes imploded in upon themselves and this universe was not big in the least. That was why he was here. No one would think he would hide in a place this small and with so few technologies.
After they got out Zim and Dim were walking together out. Zim wanted to spend more time with Dib but he didn’t know weather or not the human could handle going to his house. Plus there was GIR to consider. The tallest had given him a friend in GIR. He didn’t want the robot for the slave/master thing; he had wanted the technology but GIR was his friend. He would never dismantle him.
Zim finally came to a decision He would invite Dib over. “Hey Dib, you want to come over to my house?”
Dib looked up in shock. He hadn’t expected that. For one thing no one invited him anywhere. For another, this was an alien, why would he want to invite Dib over to his house? “Are you sure? I mean, that’s your base and I’m a human.”
Zim shrugged. “And I’m not. So what? Do you want to come over?”
“Sure.” And they went to Zim’s. As they got in the door they both stopped. There was a man wearing a long dress thing with a very long beard sitting on Zim’s couch reading a magazine.
“Do you know him?” Dib asked quietly. Zim shook his head.
“Who are you and why are you in my house?” Zim demanded. The man looked up to reveal half moon shaped glasses and twinkling eyes.
Dib took a step back. “Dumbledore” he gasped. The man smiled and nodded.
“Hello Dib, and how are you?” he inquired.
“What are you doing here?” Dib asked in response without answering the question.
“I believe I would like to know that as well. Also how do you know each other and why you’re wearing a dress?” Zim interrupted. There was something about this man he didn’t like. There! It was his eyes. They twinkled like he knew something he didn’t.
“Ah, Zim, I meant to talk to you and then Dib but this saves me a trip. I have met with Dib’s sister a year ago for the same reason I need to talk with the both of you. You are both invited to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry” he stated simply. “Oh, and the ‘dress’ is my robe” he chuckled.
“Ah yes. I went on your web site last night. The actual school is in England correct?” Zim queried.
“Yes, a rather new development, the web site. We hope for it to teach the muggle-born witches and wizards about the school.”
“Like Gaz?” asked Dib.
“Yes, like your sister and like you. And it’s also for people like Zim who have powers like that of our kind.” Both of them noticed a dim in his eyes at the mention of Gaz.
Gaz was Dib’s older sister (in my story that’s why she’s in a different class than Dib, she’s a grade higher, not lower) and because of that, she’d been invited to Hogwarts. Dib wanted to go even though Gaz had chosen not to. But if Zim wasn’t going he didn’t want to. Zim was his first real friend and he didn’t want to leave him. But there was the fact that this man was the headmaster to consider.
Zim was thinking the same thing. He wanted to learn magic but he didn’t like this man. He seemed to think he was the know-all, end-all of the planet. Zim wanted so much to gouge those eyes out. He settled for taking away the twinkle.
“Sir, we really do need some time to think over your proposition before we give our response. If you would be so kind as to drop by tomorrow, I’m sure we will have reached our decision by then.” The man’s eyes lost their twinkle just as he had hoped.
“I will be back tomorrow for your answers boys. Until then” And he popped out.
“Dib, do you think we should go?” Zim asked before Dib could speak to ask the same question.
“I think we should, it would be good, our old school is stupid as you’ve probably figured out and I wouldn’t mind learning magic. But I’ll only go if you do.”
“I think I want to go too. We should tell him tomorrow. But for now I want you to meet someone. GIR!” he called and in came a bubbly blue eyed robot. GIR attached himself to Zim’s neck yelling ‘HUG!’ Zim laughed at his companion’s antics and hugged him back. Dib stared wide eyed at the display of affection for the robot. He had thought that robots were cold things but this thing was a person in its own right.
“Who’s that master? Can I hug him?” it asked.
“This is my friend Dib. You can hug him as long as you remember he’s human and not to break his bones.”
“Yay! It leapt up and wrapped its arms around Dib’s neck. He hugged it back tentatively.
Zim laughed at his hesitancy. “It is kind of weird. But after six months in a ship with him you get used to it.”
Zim reached over to get GIR off of Dib. As he did his fingers brushed against the skin of Dib’s neck. They both felt a thrill go through them at the contact and a sigh was heard from both of them. Zim put GIR down and reached up to touch Dib’s neck again but hesitated.
He looked to Dib for permission and he nodded. Zim touched it and again both sighed. Zim’s fingers trailed up and down Dib’s neck finding the small grooves and crevasses there. Accidentally one of his fingers dug in where he thought there was a crevasse but there wasn’t. He was quite surprised to hear Dib moan involuntarily, though he did like the sound.
He gently dug his fingers into the skin to hear Dib moan again. He brought up his other hand to continue. Dib was in heaven. Zim was working out all of the kinks in his neck caused by stress over the years. Stress over his family ignoring him and his classmates making fun of him his whole life. He felt Zim’s other hand join the first and he moaned again. He couldn’t help it, the massage was incredible. And Zim’s fingers were so soft.
Zim was becoming quite familiar with how the skin felt but was now wondering how it tasted. His race was naturally intimate with those they considered allies. He leaned forward and licked with his narrow snake-like tongue at the column of the pulse point which was now jumping rapidly. Dib cried out in pleasure but since Zim didn’t realize it was a pleasurable cry he stopped. Dib was panting lightly and turned to face Zim with lust shining in his eyes, though Zim did not realize this.
Dib took Zim’s face in his hands and brought their faces together kissing Zim dead on the lips. Zim was startled by the kiss. He knew what it meant for people to kiss, he had read about it online. But was this how Dib felt about him? He knew he cared deeply for his friend but did Dib care for him too. Apparently, if the kiss was anything to go by.
Zim put his arms on Dibs shoulders and began to kiss back. Dib smiled into the kiss and licked Zim’s lips, pleading entry. He complied and their tongues were battling wildly for dominance instantly.
When they pulled apart Zim looked up with vulnerable eyes to Dib. Dib smiled and leaned down to give him another slower loving kiss, putting to rest any fears Zim had of being left. They decided that Dib would stay the night and he called home to tell his father.
“Hello, Membrane residence, Professor Membrane speaking. How can I help you this fine evening?” Dib’s dad said helpfully from the other end.
“Hey dad” Dib started.
“Dib, what are you calling for?” Professor Membrane interrupted angrily.
“I wanted to tell you that I’m staying the night with a friend so you won’t worry.” Dib answered quickly.
“Why the hell would I worry about you? And since when the hell did you get a friend? Never mind I don’t care.” Membrane said before Dib could answer.
“But dad” Dib protested.
“Shut up, and stop tying up the phone line. I might get a call that’s actually important.” Membrane snapped and hung up on his son.
Dib reflected for a moment at how sad it as that it didn’t really faze him anymore that his father didn’t care about him or what he did. But there was nothing he could do about it so he hung up the phone and joined Zim in bed.

Chapter 2
They went to school the next day where they sat mostly in comfortable silence. Mrs. Bitters rambled about how ants would take over the planet that day. It was boring and pointless all at the same time.
When the walked back to Zim’s house they remembered Dumbledore would be there for their answers. They ran the second half of the way there. They raced the last block to see who could get to the door first. Dib grabbed the handle two seconds before Zim reached for it and thus grabbing Dib’s hand. They smile and kissed quickly before opening the door seeing the old man sitting on the couch reading the same magazine again.
This time he acknowledged them when they walked in, putting the magazine down. “Have you made your decision yet?” he asked politely.
They both nodded. “We’ll go.” They said together.
The Headmaster beamed. “Excellent! Shall we go to Diagon Alley now to get your school supplies?” The boys nodded. “Grab on, all together now” he instructed, holding out a shoelace. They did so and a tugging at their navels began and ended as soon as it started and they were standing in a run down looking pub.
They looked around the dingy place trying to figure out how they could buy anything but beer in this place and maybe some food. Dumbledore walked towards the back and they followed, aggravated at being kept in the dark, as he tapped a brick and the archway opened. He turned back and gave them their lists and small bags.
“These are you supply lists and money to buy them. There are seven silver Sickles to a gold Galleon and 5 Knuts to a Sickle. Use your money wisely.” (I’m not sure if this is correct, I don’t have access to my copy of the Sorcerer’s Stone since I can’t get to it, deal with my interpretation.) And with that he was gone, leaving them to try desperately to find what they need without, as he thought, any assistance.
“Backpack, give me the map.” Zim said. Out popped an arm from his pack with a paper at the end.
“Where did you get that?” Dib asked, having realized what the headmaster was doing was making them dependant on him.
“The Hogwarts site has a map since this is where most people get supplies.” Zim shrugged. They went first to Flourish and Blots to get their books. When they paid they realized that most of the coins in each of their bags were gold.
They got their potions things, quills, parchment, ink, and then stopped to get ice cream.
“So what else do we have on the list?” asked Dib.
Zim looked at the list again. “We need wands. Then it says we can get an owl, cat or rat. Or for that matter any other pet but that those are the most popular.” He looked up and they were off to Olivander’s.
“Ah hello sirs, one moment please. I’m with another customer.” They noticed a small boy who couldn’t have been older than they were. From where they were standing all they could see of him was his messy black hair.
The boy turned around to look at the new people and was shocked to see a pale boy and a green one. “Hi” he said timidly.
“Hello, I’m Zim, who are you?” The man stared at him as though he should already know the boy’s name for some reason, then he walked off.
“I’m Harry, who are you?” he asked Dib.
“I’m Dib Membrane. Are you going to Hogwarts too?”
“Yeah, do you know about the houses? Some boy was talking to me about them but I didn’t understand.” He sighed at the great loss of knowing what was going on in the world he was being thrust into.
“Um, there are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Gryffindors are supposed to be brave and noble and stupid. Hufflpuffs are leftover timid people who didn’t get into any of the other houses. Ravenclaws are studious know-it-alls and Slytherins are the cunning and though slightly untrusting at first fiercely loyal.” Zim told him.
“Oh, the boy said he was going to be in Slytherin. They sound good. Where will you two be?”
“Slytherin” replied Dib.
“Slytherin” said Zim.
The man had gone in the back to get a certain wand while they were talking but he now came back with one held out almost reverently.
Harry picked up the wand and glowed.
“Curious, very curious” he muttered.
“Excuse me but what’s curious?”
“I remember every wand I’ve ever sold Mister Potter. It just so happens that the phoenix whose tail feather resides in you wand gave another. Just one other. It is curious that you should be destined for this wand, when its brother gave you that scar.” He punctuated his point by jabbing at the scar he had mentioned.
“You do know that poking random people is considered rude?” Zim commented idly.
Olivander was startled. No one had dared to correct him in ages. And then some small green boy makes friends with Harry Potter and thinks he has the right. He didn’t think so. He would put him in his place before selling him a wand. He would need to keep tabs on these people using the overseeing spells he placed on the wands he sold.
“Young man, if you have a problem with the way I treat my customers perhaps you shouldn’t be one of them.” He threatened icily. He was the best wand maker in all of Europe and he knew it. Everybody who was anybody had one of his wands.
“Fine, Dib we’ll just use the instructions off the school site to make our own. We’re supposed to use our own blood to make the want work only for us instead of these cheap things. They may be fine-tune-able but they aren’t as precise as blood.” Zim said calmly.
Harry turned to the boy. “These really aren’t as good as if you make them yourself?” he asked surprised. Hagrid had told him that this was the best place to get a wand in all of Europe.
“No they aren’t. Aside from that, he places ‘discreet’ spells that tell him what spells are used by each wand and thinks no one will notice.” Zim informed the boy.
Olivander was appalled. No one had figured that out; not even the Dark Lord. Add to that he just knew he was going to loose the ability to spy on the Potter boy now. They would pay. He would tell Lord Voldemort about this.
“Um, can I come with you to make my own wand? I don’t think I want someone to see what I do all the time.” Harry asked timidly.
“Sure thing” answered Dib. They all walked out and Harry had put the wand that had made him glow back on the counter.
They walked to the animal emporium just as a huge man was walking out with a snowy own in a cage.
“Harry, I got yer birthday present here.” He held out the cage or Harry to take.
“Thanks Hagrid but you didn’t have to get me a birthday present.” Harry reverently took the owl. This was the first birthday present he’d ever gotten that hadn’t been extra chores or beatings.
“Codswolop.” Hagrid told him. “T’was yer birthday and ye deserved a present. And who are these two fellows?” He asked politely but warily. After all, one of them was green.
“Hagrid, this is Zim” he motioned to Zim “and this is Dib.” He motioned to Dib. “Guys, this is Hargid. I met Zim and Dib in Olivander’s Wand Shop. We’re going to make our own wands since he puts tracking spells on his wands and they aren’t strong.”
Hagrid looked startled. “Harry are ye sure it’s wise to be makin’ yer own wands. Ye got to know how and even then it’s hard.”
“Don’t worry Hagrid; I know how to make wands. I’ve got the directions at home. We were going to get some pets before we went to my house to make them.” Zim told the gigantic man. Hagrid looked at his worriedly. He wasn’t sure what to make of the green kid; he seemed nice enough though and one could never be too careful with You-Know-Who running around. Harry would be safe with this boy; he had a feeling in his gut that he could trust him.
“If you’re sure Harry; but be careful. Nobody wants to see you hurt.” Hagrid walked away swinging the pink umbrella he had in hand the whole way back to the dingy pub. The boys went into the store and saw every animal imaginable. Snakes, birds, bugs, rats, cats, dogs, and other un-namable creatures littered the place.
Zim walked over to a snake display and began conversing with them. It was common for Irkens to have the natural ability to speak reptilian languages.
Hi, I’m Zim, who are you?
I am called Taranius. How is it you speak to me?
My species can talk to yours easily. It’s a natural occurrence.
Hey what are you two talking about over there? came from Harry.
Just simple introductions. Where’s Dib?
Right behind you. Hands came up to cover Zim’s eyes after Dib answered his question. Dib and his sister were able to both speak to serpents due to their father’s genetic experiments on their bodies. Dib had been the first so he could talk to them but Gaz’s experiment was more refined and she could turn into a snake.
Everyone in the store was staring at them all strangely. It was as though they were speaking a different language and though Zim knew that it seemed as though Harry hadn’t.
“Can’t you humans talk snake?” he spat. Everyone was still too shocked to speak but a few shook their heads negatively. “Can anyone?” Again they shock their heads. “Cool, then we have our own secret language.” Zim quipped.
The others laughed and Zim bought the snake from a still staring clerk. As he left his parting words were: “It’s rude to stare you know.”
When they came out they went to the pub and pondered how to get home when GIR popped out of his pack.
“Master! I hid! I hid! Ooh, can I hug him too?” without waiting for any kind of answer or reaction he slung onto Harry, clinging desperately. Harry automatically responded, wrapping his arms around the thing to keep it from pulling him down.
“GIR, get off of him right now.”
”Yes, my master.” GIR hopped down and saluted Zim, his eyes briefly turning red before quickly turning blue again. He went quickly to Dib and hugged him.
Dib hugged him back. “Hey GIR, do you think you could find a way to bring us all back to Zim’s house?”
“Yay, company! I can summon the pig!” A red blinking dot appeared on GIR’s antennae. Two minutes later a flying pig appeared in the air. Dib looked to Zim for some kind of explanation.
“He liked the pig and wouldn’t redecorate the ship any other way.” Zim shrugged. Harry stared wide eyed at the pig and the robot. Zim snapped his fingers in front of his face bringing him back to the present as the latch opened at the top of the pig and it lowered so they could all get in.
They rode to Zim’s and they each snapped branches off the trees in his front yard. Zim gathered incense and thin long bowls to soak the wands in from a nearby store while Dib and Harry gathered flowers and other things that could be used to make wands. Finally Zim came back and took three scales from Taranius to help and put in the potion. Luckily the potion needed to make the wand wasn’t that complicated and didn’t need any of their potions ingredients, just things found in the house and outside the house.
Zim put the gathered flower roots in the boiling water and waited until he could smell it before he put the ashes of the burnt incense in it too. When everything was boiling he put the concoction into the bowls, each adding a few drops of their blood. He put the wands in the bowls and let them soak.
That night they would have to let the wands lay outside in the moonlight but it was still 4:30 so they hung out inside.
“So Harry, when did you find out?” asked Dib.
“About two hours before I went to Diagon Alley. I kept getting letters but my uncle burned them until Hagrid came for me. Uncle Vernon thinks I’m a freak and didn’t want me to go to school. I don’t know how I’m going to get to the train to go there.” Harry sighed in defeat.
Dib and Zim shared a look. “You could stay here if you need. There’s always room for more. Dib stays here and so can you.” Zim said firmly.
“Are you sure?” Harry seemed reluctant to impose.
“Of course. We’re friends aren’t we? And friends help one another out.” Dib reassured him.
Suddenly they were all in a giant hug. Zim’s hand found its way to Dib’s a**. His other hand found its way to Harry’s neck. Dib’s hands did much the same thing except his hands found Zim’s neck and around Harry’s waist.
Harry was overwhelmed. These people were helping him and touching him. He didn’t mind one bit but the last time that had happened his uncle’s friends had touched him in places he didn’t want them too.
He started to hyperventilate. Dib and Zim pulled back looking at Harry worriedly. Harry was now curling in upon himself, rocking back and forth.
“Zim what’s wrong with him?” Dib was becoming frantic.
“I don’t know. I think we scared him. Do you know how to get him back to normal?”
“No, maybe we can talk him through it.” They went to the ground and each touched a shoulder. Harry wrenched back whimpering.
Dib realized what had happened to Harry. He had been raped and was having a relapse!
“No, stop, I’ll be good. I promise. Please.” Harry whispered to himself.
“Shh, Harry. It’s all over. We won’t hurt you. Nothing will hurt you here. Calm down.” Dib cooed. After twenty minutes he finally calmed down enough to realize he wasn’t at the Dursley’s anymore but at Zim’s house.
He looked up to Zim and Dib who both held out arms for him. He fell into them feeling comforted. Sobbing his heart out in his friends’ arms he told them of how his uncle would invite his friends over and take their money and send him in a room with them. They would always try to make him touch them and then they would touch him and he didn’t like it. It had always hurt and then they would touch his butt hole and put things up there and how much it had hurt. How it had felt like something was ripping him apart from the inside. How his uncle had told him to take it and shut up; that he had to earn his keep and it was punishment for being bad.
Dib rubbed his hands up and down Harry’s arms and he leaned into the touch, closing his eyes as he did so. Zim petted his hair like one would to a scared puppy. It worked and Harry was soon fast asleep.
“Zim, we can’t send him back there. It’s too horrible. We have to keep him here.”
“Yeah, we’ll all stay here.”
“But Zim, what about my Dad and Gaz? Won’t they say no?”
”I don’t care. They’re as nice his uncle and you know it. You’re staying here and that’s final. Now I want you to go home and pack your things.” Dib did as he was told and was back forty minutes later and sadly his family hadn’t even noticed his arrival or departure. Zim had laid Harry on the couch and put a blanket over him.
“What are we going to do about his things?” Dib asked.
“We’ll talk to him about it when he wakes up. For now he needs sleep. We should let him.” By now it was nightfall and Zim put the bowls with their wands in the window sill to soak up the moonlight and fresh air, if it could be called fresh with all the pollutants on this planet but still.
Zim went over to Harry and picked him up gently so not to wake him and brought him to his king size bed. He laid Harry in the middle and he and Dib changed into their PJs, snuggling around Harry.

Chapter 3
When Harry awoke he felt warm and protected. It was a feeling he had never felt waking up in his whole life that he could remember. He didn’t know why he felt warm but he didn’t care. He wriggled down further into the warmth.
Dib and Zim were woken by the slight movement and smiled when they felt Harry accept their protection. They wrapped their arms tighter around him and Harry realized where he was and he smiled too. He brought up his arms to encircle the other two. He turned his head and buried his face in Dib’s neck to hide his flaming face. He was slightly embarrassed that he was in bed with two other boys. Didn’t that mean he was gay? His uncle had always talked about how faggots should die. He didn’t want his new friends to think he needed to die but they had obviously put him there and they were there with him. He was confused now.
“Um, why are we in the same bed?” he asked tentatively. Dib stroked his hair comfortingly.
“Because we put you here. You needed to rest.”
Harry brought his face up to look at them. “But doesn’t that make you gay?”
Dib looked at him with an odd expression on his face before bringing it to his. As their lips touched Harry felt a thrill go through him. Dib pulled back and he whimpered. “Yes.” And then Dib leaned over to kiss Zim too. Their tongues danced together outside their mouths for the entire world, which at the moment included only Harry, to see. They lapped at each others’ tongues almost like cats would lap at milk and God it was erotic.
As Harry watched his new friends kissing he felt something stir within him, making him feel all warm and tingly. He felt the tingly sensation center in his lower belly and continued watching his friends with great interest.
After a few minutes Dib and Zim broke apart panting and Zim looked at Harry. “So Harry, you look a little flushed. Are you perhaps gay as well?”
Harry thought about it for a moment and decided that he really didn’t care the gender as long as there was genuine love involved. “Nope, I think I’m bi.”
Zim chuckled at the response. “Well whatever you are, you still have to go to school. We can skip tomorrow to pack but there’s no reason not to go today.” Dib groaned at the thought of Mrs. Bitters lecturing them again on how something was going to take over the Earth.
After about an hour of continued lounging in bed, Zim brought up the subject of his conversation with Dib the night before. “Harry, do you need your things?”
Harry shook his head. “No the only things I have of any importance are in my bags out in the den.”
Zim growled in annoyance. Those people had derived Harry of his material goods. Even Dib had some things. He would make sure that they never again were abused or mistreated.
~~~~~~~~~~
The next day they all got ready for the day ahead and walked to skool. When they entered the classroom Mrs. Bitters told Harry to introduce himself.
“Hi, I’m Harry and I’m antisocial. I have a snake with me and I won’t be here tomorrow or ever again.” It was true that Harry had worn the snake to school around his neck like a necklace. With that he went to an occupied space next to Dib and glared at the young girl sitting there until she got scared enough to scurry to the back of the room leaving room for him to sit.
The rest of the day was spent listening to how computers would one day be made so smart that they took over the world. That was of coarse ridiculous because everyone knew that there were always emergency shut off buttons for anything. The day ended and when they got back to Zim’s house they found that yet again, Dumbledore was sitting on the couch.
“Harry, my dear boy. What are you doing away from you aunt and uncle’s house? I’m sure they must miss you terribly.” Zim growled at the man. It made that damn twinkle go away again.
“He will not go back to that house where he does nothing but chores and is given no love. He will be staying here tonight and tomorrow I will take him to the train. You will leave this house or I will make you now!”
Dumbledore got up abruptly. “Now see here. That boy is more protected at his family’s house than he is here. I am his guardian and I will say where he stays.” Harry glared at him.
“If you’re my guardian than why don’t you take care of me? You let them push me around my whole life and didn’t do a damn thing!” Harry fumed. This man had had custody of him and had let him be raped almost every weekend. And he expected Harry to blindly obey him. He didn’t think so. The air around him was crackling.
“Harry, there is blood protection at their house. You are safe there, trust me.”
”TRUST YOU!? TRUST IS FOR THOSE WHO EARN IT! NOT FOR THOSE WHO LET ME GET RAPED NEARLY EVERY WEEKEND BY MY DAMN FAMILY AND FAMILY FRIENDS FOR MONEY! GET OUT!” Dumbledore was forced out the door quicker than lightning. Harry fainted.
Hours later, Harry woke in their bed with Dib and Zim glancing at him worriedly.
“I have a headache.” He said simply. Saying that much took too much energy for his liking. Erupting at Dumbledore was more taxing on him than he would have thought. Zim took his wand out and said something. His headache was gone. Apparently Olivander used the monitoring spells on his spells to alert the Ministry to the use of underage magic. Why no one had realized there were monitoring spells on their wand usage, no one could guess.
“What time is it?” Harry asked groggily.
“8:00 P.M., we take the train in the morning at 11. We’ll head out about 7:00 in the morning to have breakfast and fun shopping. After that we can go to the train station in London unless you have any objections? But Dib and I thought we should get some things we don’t necessarily have to have. What do you think?”
“Sounds fun. Can I sleep until then?” Harry asked tiredly.
“Sure.”
Dib and Zim went to watch an hour of TV before joining Harry in bed.
They turned on ‘The Monkey Show’ as GIR suggested and began to chat.
“So what’s it like?” asked Dib.
“What’s what like?”
“Space. Is it as beautiful as everyone on Earth believes it to be?”
“Depends on where in space you are. In Food Cortia it sure as hell wasn’t beautiful.”
”Why is that?”
“I was banished there after trying to burn my planet to ashes.” Zim looked down at the memory. It wasn’t that he was embarrassed at trying to destroy Irk. Just that he could get caught and not having succeeded. But then, when you’re supposed to be burning the *other* planet, people notice I you burn your own.
Zim was a defect so while other Irkens were programmed to love their home planet he was accidentally programmed to hate it, thus resulting in his destruction of the planet during Impending Doom 1, though passing the entire thing off as his own personal insanity wasn’t very hard considering no one ever questioned weather or not the Control Brains had made a mistake.
“Why would you want to do that?” Dib asked quietly. It was pretty obvious that Zim was embarrassed about something. He just didn’t know what.
Zim looked up sharply. “Because even then they thought I was an idiot. Just because I was short, they assumed I was stupid. So I’ll prove them wrong. I’ll learn magic, and when they send someone to see how badly I’m doing, I’ll send them a message. I’ll tell them how stupid I really am.” The conviction in his voice was evident.
“What does height have to do with anything?” Dib said after a minute or so.
“Our planet’s social system is based on height. The taller you are, the smarted you’re destined to be. The tallest are the rulers. They think they’re smart, but really they’re not. Purple is easily amused by light and Red by fog. But what’s Earth like?”
“Pretty boring from what I see of it.” Dib answered.
“So then why did your sister say ‘no’ to Hogwarts? If it’s so boring wouldn’t she want to spice up her life?”
“I never understood it really well. She said that anyone who could lie so easily to her wouldn’t run a good school; that she would rather grow up without magic than learn from him. But I haven’t noticed him lie once. Have you?”
Zim looked thoughtful. “No I haven’t, but we haven’t talked much to him. How long did Gaz talk to him?”
“I don’t know, but it had to have been long, I noticed him talking to her in early June. School starts there in September instead of in August like here.”
“Well then we’ll likely catch him lying at some point. That also probably explain why he talked to us so close to the start of term. He didn’t want us to catch him lying and say no. I don’t think he takes rejection well.”
“When Gaz told him ‘no’ he looked like he was going to blow up. Looking back I think he would have done something to her if Dad and I hadn’t been right there. I really thought she would say ‘yes’.”
They sat there after their rather deep conversation, occasionally glancing at the show until it ended and they went to sleep pondering how to deal with the headmaster.
When they woke up they got ready for the trip ahead. Zim shrunk all of their things and put them in his backpack. He pulled out their remaining money and some he had from before that was for muggles. He wanted muggle food for breakfast and the credit card he’d forged online could get them that. He could also get them some clothes and things.
They all left and had breakfast at a small diner chatting pleasantly about how they thought school might go. Zim and Dib gave Harry a run down of their earlier discussion and they all agreed that it would be a blast to ruffle the headmaster’s feathers. His twinkle would be gone forever by the end of their schooling.
They walked around and ended up in a store dedicated nearly to all back clothing, though there were some dark colors.
“Hello. Welcome to Hot Topic. Is there anything I can help you with?” The sales man asked. He had green hair and an eyebrow piercing. He wore black bondage pants and a red shirt with some cartoon characters on it in black. His boots were knee high but still not girly.
[I know that there isn’t any Hot Topic’s in Brittan but for the sake of my story they’re still in AMERICA. They’re shopping in America before they go to London to the train.]
“Yeah, we all need some new clothes.” GIR jumped out of Zim’s pack as he finished.
“ME TOO! I WANT CLOTHES!” Zim raised an eyebrow at his robot.
“Okay, all four of us need new shirts, pants and shoes. Except GIR, the shoes would get burnt from his rockets.” Zim added at the crestfallen look in his friend’s blue eyes.
“Dude, you’re green, what the hell can we do with you and clothes?” he guy looked totally okay with Zim being green, just that *he* had to clothe someone who was green. Besides, he worked at a Hot Topic; the people that shopped there came in literally all shapes, sizes and colors.
“Just so long as it’s not pink.” Zim grumbled. At the confused looks he was receiving, he explained. “It was my uniform until recently.” Everyone nodded in sympathy. Having a pink uniform couldn’t have been fun.
The sales guy looked at them each for a moment before stating:
“For robot boy there, we need lots of red to go with the eyes. For green guy we get anything but orange. It’ll clash violently. For the green eyed boy we need royal blue and for the beady black eyed kid we need purple. Black will go good for all of you and I highly recommend it since its most of what we have in this store.”
They all bought a bunch of black pants and shirts with a few of the recommended colors. They also got some tall steel toe boots and black converse sneakers. As a joke they also bought a few of the ‘magic books’ in stock. There was one on negative astrology, one on vampires and one on evil faeries. All in all it was hilarious.
Finally it was time to go. They piled into the flying pig and flew to the train station. They followed a few people that said things like ‘muggle’ and ‘galleons’ to an archway. The people were going through the pillar and when they were done, so did Harry, Zim, Dib and GIR. There stood an amazing train. It was so huge that they practically squealed with delight.
They hurried on and found an empty compartment near the back. As they made themselves comfortable a redheaded boy knocked on the door.
“Everywhere else is full. I need to sit here. Hey are you Harry Potter?” The boy asked rudely, barging in.
“Yes I am. And I refuse to believe that everywhere else if full. You can sit elsewhere.” Harry spat. Then the boy he had met in the robe shop came waltzing in.
“Humph, bothering people already Weasel” sneered the blonde. Harry looked up, smiling at the boy’s presence.
“Hello Draco. He was just leaving. Weren’t you?”
”Making friends with Death Eaters already Potter? Some savior you are.” With that he left.
“What was he talking about Draco?”
“Death Eaters are followers of You-Know-Who and they all scattered when you defeated him at the age of one.”
“Well then you couldn’t be a Death Eater since you’re my age and I defeated him when I was one year old. That boy is stupid.” Harry harrumphed.
There was another knock on the door but this time whoever it was waited for an answer before entering.
“Come in.” Dib called out. In came two more read-heads who looked exactly alike. They looked to be about three years older than the other. They had what looked like perpetual grins on their faces.
“We’re sorry about” said one.
“Our brother. He’s” continued the other.
“A real a** about”
“Rejection. We don’t”
“Know where he”
“Gets it from”
‘Wow’ thought Harry. ‘They’re really weird. But they seem nice enough.’
“Who are you” asked Zim.
“I’m Fred”
“And I’m George. Did Ronniekins”
“Bother you all”
“Too much?”
This was getting rather odd listening to the two of them talking. They kept finishing each other’s sentences. They all shook their heads no and they all sat down.
“So who are you all? We know that you’re Harry Potter and you’re Draco Malfoy but you others we don’t know” said Fred.
“I’m Zim, and this is Dib. What house are you in?”
”We’re in”
“Gryffindor. But we’re”
“Getting resorted”
“This year.”
“What for?” asked Harry. “Aren’t you supposed to be in the same house for your entire stay and never change? Like its part of you personality or something?”
“Yeah but haven’t”
“You ever heard of”
“People’s personalities”
“Changing?” They all nodded. Everyone knew that their personalities had changed over the years. But one thing no one thought would ever change would be that they were getting confused as hell by the twins finishing each others’ sentences.
“Hey, can you two not do that please? It’s really confusing.” Harry said.
“Sure thing” said Fred.
“We only do it to people we’ve just met.” George nodded.
“Just to freak them out.” They chatted amiably the rest of the train ride. They had a lot in common. Apparently the twins were in the joke business. The twins agreed that pranking the Headmaster would be a good idea and that if the foursome needed any help then they should just ask.
A/N: I realize that this chapter had almost no Harry/Draco interaction. But not to fear. That is for next chapter. Or maybe the next. I think the next chapter will just be the sorting and resorting but I’ll try to put in some H/D for you all.
Chapter 4
When they got to the next station they all saw Hagrid looming over a bunch of scared first years.
“Firs’ years, o’er ‘ere!” He thundered out. Dib, Harry and Zim parted ways from the twins towards the half giant.
As they climbed into the small boat Hagrid called out to them. “All righ’ there ‘Arry?” Ye ‘ave fun a’ that kid’s ‘ouse?” Harry nodded to both questions. The boat ride was rather uneventful with the exception of a boy’s toad running away from him. Harry got to sit next to Draco in the rather cramped boat. Not that he was complaining. The boy was rather nice and good looking. Then they were in front of the castle.
“I got the firs’ years righ’ ‘ere Professor McGonagall.”
“Thank you Hagrid” said a stern looking witch with a large pointed hat. She had thin lips that looked perfect for glaring at people. “You will wait here until called for so you may be sorted by name.” And with that she left.
“I heard you have to fight a troll to be sorted.”
“I heard you have to stand on you head and however long you can stay that way is what determines which house you’re in.”
Many people were speculating about how they would be sorted. Zim snorted. Dib, Draco and Harry gathered around him.
“You get sorted by putting on a sentient hat. It reads your mind and tells you where to go.” Draco told his friends in a whisper, not wanting the idiots to finish their amusing speculations. Just then McGonagall came in.
“Come with me please.” She said shortly. Everyone followed her into a giant dinning room. Up at the front was a stool with a frayed black hat. As soon as everyone was in the Hall the hat started singing about the founders of the school. Zim had told Dib and Harry and Draco already knew so they didn’t pay any attention. (I know I didn’t write in the song but as previously mentioned, I don’t have access to the book.)
Then it was time for the sorting.
“Abbott, Hannah” A girl with ragged brown hair walked up and put on the hat.
“GRYFINDORE” the hat bellowed out. And so it went.
“Irken, Zim” Zim walked up with the whole school staring. Whispers were flying about the new green kid. Zim put on the hat.
*Ah, the alien. Dumbledore told me you would be coming.
*I don’t care; just put me in Slytherin already.
*Testy aren’t you? Well maybe I should put you somewhere else.
*You do and I’ll burn you.
*All right-y then.* the hat replied nervously.
“SLYTHERIN!”
Zim got up from the stool and walked over to the only cheering table. On it went; Draco was sorted into Slytherin and so was Dib. Then it was Harry’s turn.
“Oh my God! Did she say Potter? The Boy-Who-Lived? He’s here? Wow!” That was how the whispers went, making Harry feel very uncomfortable. He put on the hat.
*Ah Mr. Potter. I wondered when you would get here.
*…That’s nice, I suppose.
*Hmm, you have a very interesting mind here Mr. Potter. Plenty of courage, brains, loyalty and cunning. You would do well in any house.
*Can I go to Slytherin please?
*Want to be with you friends, huh?
*Yes please.
“SLYTHERIN!” The Great Hall was silent as Harry went over to sit with his friends. Ronald Weasley stood abruptly.
“He’s evil! I knew it! The great Harry Potter is a Death Eater Sympathizer!” He yelled. The whole crown gasped. The Slytherin’s snickered. Dumbledore stood up.
“SILENCE!” he yelled. “You will all remember that we are in a school. I do not want to see anyone mistreating Mr. Potter even though he isa Slytherin.” He said in a voice that clearly stated he didn’t want to have said that.
“Now, we have a couple of students who wish to be resorted this year. Will Fred and George please come forward?” Fred and George walked up to the shocked faces of everyone. Fred put the hat on first.
It certainly took you long enough to realize I was right.
*Our parents would have killed us. Now we don’t care, we secretly emancipated ourselves.
*Clever twins, aren’t you?
*Thank you.
*Would you like to go where you were supposed to in the beginning now?
*Please.
“SLYTHERIN!”
The hall was once again silent before being interrupted by Ron.
“Mum’s going to disown you!” Fred sneered at his brother before joining the Slytherins.
George went up next and no one noticed Dumbledore’s eyes getting a cold, calculating glint in them.
It didn’t take the hat long to reach the same decision with George as it had with Fred.
“SLYTHERIN!”
George walked over to his twin and turned to Ron who was still gaping like a fish. Apparently he was too shocked still to yell yet.
“Oh Roniekins. Mom can’t disown us, we’re emancipated.” George called out and with that he sat down.
The dinner at their table was very amiable while at every other table conversation was strained, at the Gryffindor table the most since Ron was now seething and boiling with anger. At the end they were lead by Professor Snape to their dormitories in the dungeons.
“I will not tolerate any loss of points, or any referrals. If you are caught at anything you are on your own. You are encouraged to help one another out to avoid being caught. If I catch you I will let you off but if others are present I will go easy on you. Stick together, the rest of the school is against you. It would be beneficial if you stuck up for one another. Welcome to Slytherin.” And with that speech over and done with, Snape left.
They all walked up to the boy’s dormitories, leaving Fred and George to lay out prank candies for the younger children. Upstairs there were four King sized, black draped beds. They each climbed into their own bed to fall asleep after the long day.
Harry woke in the middle of the night that night. It was too late to just stay up until the morning; he would have to get back to sleep. But with the dream he had had he wouldn’t be able to any time soon. It had been about some weird man with a turban and a face in the back of his head trying to grab him. In the background he had seen the headmaster watching and laughing.
“Harry what’s wrong?” Draco had woken after hearing Harry rustle about in his bed.
“Nothing Draco. I just had a bad dream.”
“Talking usually helps you get back to sleep. Do you want me to listen?” Draco offered.
“That’s alright, I’ll manage.” Draco sighed. He knew first hand that if you didn’t deal with a problem it just got bigger. Then again, when forced to deal with something, people didn’t usually like the results.
What Harry wanted to do was curl up in bed like the night before when he slept with Dib and Zim. But he didn’t want to wake them nor did he know what to say if he did. Sleeping with Draco would be kind of awkward. He thought Draco was cute and what if he got that feeling in his tummy like when he was watching Dib and Zim kiss? Draco was too cool to be gay or even bi. Harry knew to not bother Draco with his tiny crush.
With that thought in his head, Harry rolled over in his bed to convince Draco he was asleep which he really wasn’t. He never got back to sleep that night and when the day came he was running low on energy. He would need a lot of food to keep up all day.
That night Dumbledore was in his office thinking. Zim, Dib and Harry were all in Slytherin with Draco Malfoy. This would make his job very difficult. He needed the boy on his side. He would be far too powerful to not be under his thumb. He obviously couldn’t manipulate him as much as he had with Riddle but maybe he didn’t need to. Maybe he just needed to put the boy in danger and save him. That could work. He just needed to control the boy for a little while; then he could kill him. But what could he do?
He could always use Quirell as a way to get the boy. He knew the man had Riddle residing with him, how could he not? He knew Riddle inside and out. If he were anywhere near, he would know.
But for now, he would make nice with Harry. Get him on his good side.
He would make their room better; give them a bigger bath, something. And while he was doing that, he could egg Quirell to move quicker in his plans in such a way that no one would even notice. Not even Quirell himself.
Then there was the whole resorting issue to be dealt with.
Then he realized the answer to all his problems. He would make up a prophecy using that fraud Trelawney. She never remembered any of her real prophecies. So of coarse he could fudge a memory to show the boys and gain their trust. It was perfect. Now all he had to do was figure out what it would say…
As for the twins emancipating themselves; he could always use that as an excuse to get them closer to himself. He could *let* them join the order now that they were legalized. Oh, the possibilities. He could convince Molly to let them be and gain their trust. He had already used all of the woman’s money. But her children had that gag shop idea going for them and they would earn lots of money that way. He could use that money too.
But for now he would make sure Harry was paired with the Gryffindors in all of his classes possible. Hopefully their ‘goodness’ and ‘loyalty’ would rub off on him. If not, he would think of that later.
~First Year’s Dormitories~
Harry was awake when everyone else woke up. Since he was used to not sleeping at all thanks to the Dursleys he hid it well from everyone. Except Draco knew. He remembered that Harry had woken in the middle of the night and now he was the first ‘awake’. That couldn’t be a coincidence. He would have to ask Harry about that later. But first they all had to get breakfast and go to class.
Everyone put on their new clothes under their robes. They walked down the hall and bumped into a Ravenclaw girl. Her name was Herm… something Granger. She was muggle born.
“Oh I’m terribly sorry, I shouldn’t have been reading and walking at the same time.” She dusted herself off quickly.
“At least you realized your mistake. A Gryffindor would probably have done something stupid like say it was one person’s fault. It was both out fault for not noticing where we were going.” Zim held out his hand to her. She shook it and they all walked into the Great Hall where Granger went to her table and they went to theirs.
Fred and George were already eating and Weasley was shoveling food into his face. Harry couldn’t imagine how it all fit. Not that he cared anyway. He sat down next to Draco and across from Dib and Zim. Breakfast was simple eggs and bacon and toast for most of them. Fred and George ate what looked like as much as Weasley did but they had table manners.
As they ate the teachers passed out papers holding their schedules. Their fist class was Potions with Professor Snape.
Dumbledore stood as everyone was finishing their meals and getting ready to head to class. “Please remember that though this is the first day and the rules are lax, fighting is against the rules and you will be punished accordingly. If anyone is *caught*, they will be suspended. That is all.” And everyone left to go to class.
~Potions Class~
Harry and Draco sat next to each other in the second to last row of Potion’s Class while Zim and Dib sat at the table behind them. They had almost all of their classes with the Gryffindors this year.
Snape burst into the classroom and glared at the Gryffindor side.
“This class is not for those of low intellect. There will be no foolish wand waving in this class.” He turned around to the board and waved his wand before notes appeared. “Well, what are you all waiting for? Get to it.” The class scrambled to pull out parchment and write down everything.
Two minutes later Ron and some Irish boy came loudly in the room, banging the door open behind them rudely. Snape turned to them with and even darker scowl on his face than when he first entered the class.
“What do you two mean by interrupting my class?” he snapped. The two had the grace to look sheepish.
“We didn’t mean to be late sir, but-”
“Silence!” Snape interjected before they could give an excuse. “10 points from Gryffindor each for being late.”
“But sir-” Ron started.
“Another 20 points for arguing with a teacher. Get to your seat and write down the notes.” Reluctantly they went to the only seats in the front row of the class to the obvious laughter of the Sytherins. They were too embarrassed to notice that Zim was looking at them with interest. Dib though, wasn’t.
Harry and Draco were busy laughing at the late idiots and didn’t notice Dib and Zim’s exchange. After a minute everyone was back to writing notes.
Draco turned to Harry at the end of class while everyone was filing out of the classroom.
“Harry, can I talk to you for a minute?” Harry turned to Draco with an unreadable emotion in his eyes. He sighed.
“Sure Draco, where do you want to talk?” He knew what Draco wanted to talk about, and he didn’t want to have to talk about it.
“How about in the library tonight? We can say we’re doing homework or something.” Draco suggested. Harry simply nodded and they went off to their next class: Transfigurations.
They all walked into class and sat in the same area as they had in the last class. Once again Ron and Seamus were late. A gray tabby cat sat on the teacher’s desk while everyone got seated.
Ten minutes after class started Ron and Seamus burst in.
“Lucky the teacher isn’t here, eh?” Ron said after looking around.
“Yeah, I can just imagine her-” The tabby leapt off the desk right in front of the boys, transforming into teacher.
“You can just imagine me what, Mr. Finnegan?” She asked sternly.
“That was bloody awesome.”
“Thank you Mr. Weasley. Perhaps I should turn either you or Mr. Finnegan into a pocket watch so you won’t be late to my class again.”
“We’re sorry, ma’am, we got lost.” Seamus apologized.
“Then perhaps a map. I trust you don’t need one to get to your seats?”
“No ma’am.” They ended up in the two seats three rows from the front with the whole class giggling at them.
“Come with me to the library for lunch? I want to learn some things about self defense and prank spells.” He nodded.
Harry was staring out into space while Draco was studying him. Something was eating at Harry and he needed help. Draco didn’t want his new friend to suffer. He would do his best to help Harry; he just hoped he could keep his new feelings a secret. Harry was going through something and he didn’t need someone he wasn’t interested in flirting with him.
The class was spent learning how to turn matches into needles. While productive, it was also useless. Zim noticed this. Why would people go to a school to be taught how to turn matches into needles? Weren’t there more useful ways to use magic? On the other hand, it was the first day and they probable had to learn the basics before they learned anything good. But he was still going to the library during lunch to look up better spells.
Class ended and everyone was spilling out. Harry, Draco and Dib were walking towards the Great Hall for lunch and noticed Zim walking in the other direction.
“Hey Zim! Where are you going?” Draco called out.
“To the library. I’m going to learn something useful from this school. Don’t worry; I don’t need to eat like humans. I’ll check out some books for us to learn from.” And with that, Zim was out of site.
“Hey Harry, Draco?”
“Yes Dib?” asked Draco.
“Do you mind if I go with him? I just want to get more books you know?”
“Sure, go ahead.” Harry shrugged, Draco waved as Drib hurried after Zim. As Harry was walking back to the Hall Draco grabbed his shoulder, pulling him back.
“What is it Draco?” Harry asked hopefully. He knew Draco wanted to talk now, when they wouldn’t have to come up with excuses. He just wanted to put it off as long as possible.
“Can we go back to the dorm for lunch, I have some snacks if you want but I would really like to talk now. Please?” Harry knew he couldn’t say no to Draco. He would talk if Draco wanted, but he didn’t have to like it.
They walked back to the dorm in silence, only broken when Draco said the password to the Common Room. They walked up to their dorms and sat on their respective beds.
“Please talk to me Harry. I want to help.” Draco pleaded.
“About what, Draco? About how I grew up knowing I was a freak, only to find out it’s true? About how I grew up knowing my parents died in a car crash, only to find out that’s not true? They were killed by a mass murdering madman I killed at one and I’m worshiped for and I don’t remember a damn thing. What do you want to talk about Draco?” Harry couldn’t help it. It had been bubbling up inside of him since Hagrid gave him his letter.
Draco got up from his bed and went over to Harry and gave him a one armed hug. Harry collapsed gratefully into him enjoying the feel of arms around him. Draco was having similar thoughts. Both thought the other would be unreceptive to their advances.
“Harry, you’re not a freak. Your family lied to you about your parents. Is it so hard to believe they wouldn’t lie about being a freak?” Harry sniffled. He knew the Dursley’s lied about a lot of things, but he just couldn’t wrap his mind around not being a freak. It was just a part of who he was brought up as. He was the freak no one would ever love. The freak no one wanted.
“Harry, what was your dream about?” Harry stiffened against Draco. It was silly but the dream had felt weird to him. Like it would really happen to him or something. He had to be imagining it.
“It was nothing.” He mumbled. Draco lifted his chin.
”It must be something for you to be so worked up about. Please tell me.”
“I was fighting some guy in a turban with Dumbledore laughing at me. I’m just being paranoid. I told you it was nothing.”
“Not necessarily. You might have had a vision. It’s not too uncommon. Even Non-Seers have them. The difference is, when a Seer Sees something, it’s certain, when someone else Sees something, we can change it. Don’t worry Harry, I’ll protect you.” Draco squeezed his shoulder.
Harry buried his head into Draco’s chest. “Thank you Draco.” He whispered. Draco leaned his cheek against the top of Harry’s head happily. They sat like that for what seemed like forever, but was really just 40 minutes, before Draco realized they had to go to their next class.
“Harry, we have to go to Defense Against the Dark Arts. Come on.” Draco got up and held out his hand to Harry. Harry gratefully took the offered and pulled himself up. They walked to DADA and sat down with Zim and Dib after quickly scarffing down a few snacks. Everyone was in their seats when class started except the teacher.
Chapter 5
A/N: This is sort of the last few paragraphs of the last chapter but focused on Zim and Dib instead of Harry and Draco. As I was reading it, it made no sense to me for a whole minute so I thought I’d add this.
Zim was walking towards the library, wondering where Dib was when the boy from his thoughts came running up beside him. Zim smiled at Dib who smiled back. Dib grabbed onto Zim’s hand, half expecting Zim to drop it. He was pleasantly surprised when the alien squeezed his hand instead.
They walked, hand in hand, to the library. When they got there, everyone else was leaving. Zim was happy he didn’t have to deal with them while he and Dib looked for real magic books. Books that would tall him how to protect him and his friends. Dib started looking for Defense books and Zim looked for prank books. Both picked out a few books to look through and some more to check out for later.
Dib found many spells to protect against minor hexes and charms but none to shield against curses. He also found the spell to disarm your opponent, and the one block others from your mind. He just knew that one would be helpful. The headmaster seemed like someone who would burst into your mind without permission. That was probably why he seemed to know everything. That would change soon.
Zim found pranks that you could pull that would turn people’s hair different colors. He found ones that would give your skin polka dots without you knowing. Best of all, he found spells to make someone’s robes flash messages with only other people able to see it. Plus this spell could be modified to include others in the inability to see. He was pretty sure he liked this spell the best.
“Dib, did you find anything good?” asked Zim.
“Yeah, I found some very useful spells. One in particular for our esteemed headmaster.” Dib said, knowing Zim would ask what it was.
“Do tell” Zim didn’t disappoint.
“It will block anyone from reading our minds without permission.” Zim nodded in understanding. It was the perfect spell. “Plus, we can cast it on other people.” He grinned and Zim grinned in response. They both shared a quick chuckle at the headmaster’s expense before heading off the DADA.
5 minutes into class the teacher finally came. Harry gasped in shock. It was the same man from his dream! The one with the turban. And it smelled horrible. Harry was shaking. Draco was the first to notice and he immediately made the connection between their teacher and the man from Harry’s dream. He grabbed Harry’s hand and held on as Zim and Dib looked on worriedly.
No one had noticed Harry acting strangely save Dib, Zim, Draco and the teacher. Draco’s touch seemed to work and Harry was soon back under control of his own body. He gave a weak smile to his friends to reassure them that he was okay.
“So sorry I was late. I’m professor Quirell. I will be teaching you Defense Against the Dark Arts this year. Please pull out your texts to page 239 and summarize the chapter to be turned in at the end of the class.” The class hurried to do as they were told.
While everyone was rustling around in their bags, Draco leaned over to Harry and whispered to him, “Are you okay?” Harry nodded, unsure if he could speak at the moment, but still needing to reassure Draco.
Draco seemed reluctant to let it go but they had to do their class work now so he would worry about it later. It obviously wasn’t an emergency at the moment so he would deal with it later.
Quirell sat at his desk, pondering Potter’s reaction to him entering the classroom. It wasn’t often that someone was truly scared of his smell, disgusted by it yes, but not afraid.
Why would Potter be afraid of him… unless that barmy old coot had told him! But he didn’t know; he couldn’t. There was no way in Hell he could have found out his master was hidden in his turban. He had put up too many concealment charms for anyone to figure it out.
*Talk to the boy* came the voice from the back of Quirell’s head. Only he could hear it though, luckily.
*Talk to him? About what? He’ll tell that old coot everything I say!* Quirell ranted hysterically to his master.
*He is against the old one. If you talk to him as an equal then he will respond.* Tom reasoned.
*If you’re sure about this…* Quirell was unsure if this plan of his master’s would work. He would do as he was told though.
“Potter, a word after class if you don’t mind.” He ordered. Harry leaned into Draco. He didn’t want to that man. He smelled like garlic. Plus he was the man from his dream. He didn’t feel comfortable with him.
Draco placed a comforting hand on Harry’s shoulder. He would stay back with Harry after class. Zim and Dib noticed this and decided the same thing as Draco.
The end of class came and Harry, Draco, Dib and Zim held back. Harry hadn’t been expecting that and was slightly overwhelmed by his friends’ support. Quirell looked on in awe, his master had told him to talk to the Potter boy, not his gaggle of friends.
*Talk to all of them, if his friends trust you, he will too.*
*Yes master.*
“Mr. Potter, I must warn you against Headmaster Dumbledore. He will try to use you as a tool or weapon.”
”Professor Quirell, not to sound impudent, but duh. I know he’s a manipulative old coot. Anyone who doesn’t is just blind.” Draco grinned at Harry’s perceptiveness.
“Not many 11 year olds could realize that about him. I myself didn’t realize it until a few years ago.
“Well that just means you were a blinded idiot, now doesn’t it?” Zim jibbed.
“Now see here! I don’t know who you think you are, but on this planet we don’t talk to our elders like that!” Quirell snapped.
“Well where I come from we only respect our superiors. As in people who are smarter than us.” He sneered back.
Quirell was to visibly calm himself. His master wanted Harry and his friends alive and well. That meant he couldn’t kill the small green alien. But Merlin he wanted to.
“Would you shut up, or I won’t give you the message.” He threatened. The children all shut up. He was making it up though. Now he had to think of a message.
*Tell them that I would like their help. That I want my human body back so I can help the wizarding world. I want to make sure that magic itself doesn’t dilute itself with the procreation with muggles.*
*Yes sir.*
“My master wants your help with getting his body back.”
“Why should we help him?” Dib asked skeptically.
“Because he wants to help our world. He wants to keep our magic strong.”
“And how does he intend to do that?” asked Draco.
“By keeping all but the strong muggle-borns from our schools. That way the magic is kept strong and un-diluted.”
“It makes sense.” Harry said thoughtfully. “But why does he need our help?”
“Simple, you are the reason he lost his body, you must be there when he gets it back or it will not last.” Quirell reasoned. “Plus, you are strong; my master only allies himself with those who are strong.”
“We’ll think about it. For now we need to do some research in our dorms. “We’ll get back to you in a week or so.” Zim cut him off. They left and went back to the dorms.
On Zim’s bed sat GIR watching a portable TV on the monkey channel. “It’s a MONKEY!” He screamed, holding out the handheld for all to see.
“Um, who or what is that?” Draco asked.
“Hm, oh! Draco, meet GIR, GIR, this is Draco.”
GIR jumped off the bed, dropping the TV on the bed. “HUG!” And he launched himself at the pale boy. Taken back by the thing’s abruptness, Draco fell to the ground with GIR on top of him.
“Don’t muggle technologies refuse to work at Hogwarts?” Draco asked.
“Normally” answered Zim. “But I did a spell to make them work.”
“Ooooh, are you a vampire?” GIR asked excitedly, jumping up and down after getting up from Draco. Draco looked imploringly at the others.
“No GIR, he’s not a vampire. Are you?” Draco shook his head. “See. Now what are we going to do about this Quirell business?”
“I don’t’ know about the rest of you guys, but I’m all for anything against Dumbledore. I’m willing to meet with this guy, then we can decide weather or not to join him.” Harry offered his opinion. “His idea is ok but I think it was just part of his opinion.” They all agreed.
“GIR, I have a job for you.” GIR jumped up and down at the prospect of a job from his master. “I want you to spy on the Headmaster and the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. I want you to be very sneaky and not get caught, think you can do that?” GIR nodded emphatically and rushed off to do as he was told.
“Well, now we can get some information on the both of them.” Zim stated triumphantly.
Three days later GIR was jumping around on their beds. From one to the other he would jump before he finally stopped to give his report.
“Head-man talks in his sleep. I recorded it. He said lots. Stuff ‘bout you and some weaseys. He’s not a very nice man; I don’t like him. Squirrel didn’t talk in his sleep but did talk to his head. He has another head on the back of his. It’s very ugly. His head is his master. His head wants you to help him make the world clean.” GIR was proud of himself for finding out so much for his master.
“GIR, how does the squirrel’s head plan to make the world clean?” Zim asked patiently.
“Taking mugger’s strong kiddies. Take them from their parents and raise them to be stronger.” Everyone had figured out what GIR was trying to say. He wasn’t the smartest robot but if you had a brain you could figure it out in a minute or two. The squirrel was Quirell and the muggers were muggles. Clean was pure and the weaseys were the Weasleys.
“Thank you GIR; you did a really good job. Now please play the recording of the Head-man’s sleep talking.”
GIR started the recording.
“Perfect… control… damn Weasleys… emancipation… Order of the Phoenix… Zim will join… Imperious… then kill them all… Potter boy will be the prefect pawn… Malfoy will die first… no one cares… get more power… steal everyone’s…” and then it cut off.
“I did good right?” GIR asked excitedly.
“Yes GIR, you did very well.” Zim answered absently. This confirmed their suspicions of the headmaster but it made dealing with the DADA teacher much more confusing. There were many things he wasn’t sharing and he wanted to know what they were. Although it almost slipped the children’s minds, the four remembered to warn the Weasley twins of the Headmasters plans, thus enabling the twins to avoid the entrapment.
The next day there came a summons from the Headmaster for the four friends. They were escorted to his office which was guarded by a stone gargoyle. Whoever was escorting them whispered the password so quietly he thought they couldn’t hear him. He was mostly right. But the Irken could hear him perfectly. Who in their right mind would have ‘snickers’ as their password?
They were left to ride the stairs up to the door were, before they could knock, they were invited in. All of them noted the stupidity of this action. He was trying to make it look like he was psychic, when he had called them there and he probably he wards to let him know when they arrived.
They walked in anyway, all with suitably amazed faces on. The Headmaster’s eyes twinkled at this and he invited them to sit. When he offered them his drugged tea and candies he was surprised that Draco accepted. The candy was accepted but the tea declined. In reality Draco had slipped the candy in his pocket and popped his own candy in his mouth. He had a feeling he was trying to drug them and wanted to know for sure.
“The reason I asked you here today children was that I need your help. I fear there is someone in the school with a connection to You-Know-Who.” He explained.
“Why are you asking us then? Aren’t you the adult here? And isn’t this your school? Not ours? And we don’t know who the heck you’re talking about. Well, Draco might but the rest of us don’t.” Zim questioned. They all knew who Voldemort was but the Headmaster didn’t know that.
“Dear boy. You-Know-Who was the most powerful dark wizard of our time. Mr. Potter incapacitated him at age one but he is coming back. Because it was Mr. Potter who initially defeated him, I feel it must be Mr. Potter who defeats him permanently. And I will be looking after your safety of course the whole time.” He assured them. They knew he was lying, but they let him think they believed him. He ate it up.
“Of course we’ll help you Headmaster, we wouldn’t want Him to take over. We’ll help in any way possible.” Draco told the old man. He beamed, thinking his drugs had taken affect.
“Good, good. Now get back to your classes children, you need to learn your spells for the near future.” He chuckled and they all left.
All eyes were on Draco. “What?”
“Why did you take his candy? It could have been drugged. And why did you agree with him so easily?” Harry asked.
“I thought it might be drugged so…” he pulled out the original candy. “I plan to ask Severus to analyze it for us. And he obviously drugged it because he bought that cheery acceptance of his ‘mission’. I was testing him. Now come on, Potions should be starting soon.” They rushed off.
When they got to class it had just started. “May I ask why you are all late?” Sev asked shortly.
“Sorry sir, we were called by the Headmaster. We didn’t mean to be late.”
“Well take your seats, class has begun.” They did so. At the end of class when everyone else had gone they went up to him.
“Yes, how can I help you?” He asked.
“Sir, could you analyze this and tell us if there’s a potion in it? We think it might be drugged.” He took the candy and looked at it.
“Where did you get this?”
“The Headmaster gave it to Draco when he called us to his office. Could you check it for us please?” Dib pleaded.
“Of course, it will only take a moment.” He reached in a desk drawer and pulled out a rather large vial. He let three drops hit the candy and above it there was a haze and then the words ‘imperious potion’ appeared above it. He gasped.
“Do you boys know what the Imperious curse does?” He asked. They all nodded gravely. “This does the same thing but he’s put it into this candy. What did he ask you to do if you don’t mind me asking?”
“He asked, told us to find someone with a connection to Voldemort in the school. I pretended to agree.” Draco answered. Severus nodded his approval. “I would advise you to not take any candy from him in the future.”
The boys agreed readily and went back to their dorms. They would need to be careful with the headmaster now. He was resorting to illegal methods and with children no less. Who knew what was in the tea? They might just have to join up with the Dark Lord in order to get rid of the old coot. But they still had a few days before their meeting with the ‘squirrel man’.
Chapter 6
*la la la* = in Quirell’s head la la la = Parcel tongue ‘la la la’ = Thinking (I don’t know if Ill use it in this chapter but it’s good to know these things huh?)
“We have considered your proposal and are willing to negotiate.” An imperious Zim stated to Quirell. Quirell hid his anger that the green thing was speaking to him that way. His master wanted these children on his side. He would do his best for the man.
*Let me speak to them.* A voice told Quirell. He obediently un-wrapped his head from its turban and turned so his master could talk to the children.
“Ah, the new Slytherin Quartet. Hello. You have decided to join me against Dumbledore.” The back of Quirell’s head said. He eyed (I’m not sure how that would work since it’s a head but for all intents and purposes in my story Voldemort will be considered to have a separate mind than Quirell) the four in front of him warily. The green one would be strong. No doubt about that. Potter would be a powerful ally and he knew he could trust Draco. The only one he was undetermined about was the last one.
Dib. He knew he was a muggle born child and that could help his cause. It would help prove that he wasn’t out for mindless destruction as Dumbledore implied. He generally only wanted the strong muggle born children introduced. It was a waste to teach the weak ones who would only go back to living as they had before and ignoring the other world completely but still able to let loose their secret.
Unbidden, Voldemort was speaking to himself in parcel tongue. They will be powerful allies If only I knew more of this Dib. I must find out if he will be powerful. But how should I go about finding out? Hmmm.
Well, for one thing you could ask Dib answered. Voldemort started. He didn’t know he had been speaking aloud but he recognized when people/snakes spoke to him in parcel tongue.
You speak snake? he asked suspiciously. They all nodded except Draco who didn’t realize what they were saying. Voldemort looked at the blonde. If all of them but Draco could speak it was good but it would be better if Draco could speak it as well. He had never before had to use this spell but he would use it on this boy.
Tongue of the snake, envelope him. A green flame surrounded Draco suddenly. He was lifted by an unknown force and suddenly then dropped to the floor. When he got up Voldemort spoke again. Can you understand me now?
Of course I can, why wouldn’t I? Draco answered, confused.
Because we are speaking Parcel Tongue of course. I have given you the gift. But how do the rest of you speak it?
My sister and I were experimented upon by our father. I was fused with snake DNA and so was she. Dib answered.
My species have an affinity with snakes naturally. Zim said.
I don’t know why I can speak it. Harry responded sadly.
Never fear Harry. I know why *you* can speak it. Eleven years ago Dumbledore produced a fake prophecy which, at the time, I foolishly believed in. It stated the neither of us could live while the other survived and it said who you were to be born of and when. I found you and killed your parents and tried to kill you. By the time I realized what Dumbledore had done it was too late. I’m sorry for your loss but when I failed at killing you I transferred my ability to speak snake to you. Again, I am sorry for what I have done. It was a terrible loss. Both of you parents were good people who stayed out of the war as much as possible. If not for Dumbledore’s manipulations they would never have gotten involved in the first place.
Harry fumed inwardly. Dumbledore was the reason he had grown up at the Dursley’s. He was the reason his parents were dead. He was the cause of all that had gone wrong in his life. For that he would pay. And he would pay dearly.
Draco could see Harry getting worked up about what Voldemort had said and moved to clam his friend. He placed his hand on Harry’s shoulder and felt Harry relax a tiny bit.
“Dumbledore had asked us to search the castle. He thinks there is someone here with a connection to you and he wants us to find out who it is.” Zim said switching back to English. “He slipped Imperious Potion into the candy he offered. He had Professor Snape check it and he confirmed our beliefs that it was drugged.”
Voldemort was angered that Dumbledore would do such a thing to children. Imperious Potion was outlawed with its counterpart, the Imperious spell. But he was glad the children had gone to Severus, it showed that they trusted him. He should show them the same courtesy.
“You may tell him that Severus has a connection.” They looked dubiously at him. “He thinks that Severus spies for him. In truth Severus is loyal to me and tells Dumbledore only unimportant things. Dumbledore knows of Severus, he is probably just testing your abilities. I suggest telling him next week. It will imply that you are smart but not a threat to him.” They all thought about what he said before agreeing.
The week following they reported to Dumbledore their ‘findings’ and he commended them on a good job. Before they knew it, it was almost Christmas time. None of them but Draco had any decent relatives so it was decided that that was where they would go for the break. Draco mailed his parents to ask and they had agreed, wanting to meet his new friends. It was decided that the boys would get the entire West Wing to themselves for the duration of the break.
~Christmas Break~
Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy sent the children a portkey to Diagon Alley to shop at the beginning of break. They also gave them another portkey to take them to Malfoy Manor when they finished shopping. The boys were excited about this because it meant unsupervised shopping. They could get each others’ presents as well while out.
The first shop they went into was Florentine’s Ice Cream Shoppe. They gorged themselves on ice cream before splitting up to shop for each other. They would meet in the book shop when they were done and switch again. Zim was paired with Dib and Draco with Harry.
Harry and Draco went to the Quiditch Shop to buy nice brooms for their friends who, while good at flying if the class had been any indication, didn’t have anything to ride. Draco got some polish for his own Nimbus and Harry got himself a broom as well. He had bought a Nimbus for himself and Dib and Zim. Draco had gotten servicing kits for his friends and some good books. Harry hadn’t noticed when he got three books instead of two.
Next they headed off to a Nick Knack shop to see what things were there. Draco had informed Harry that there were often very nice items there very cheap. So they went in.
Draco found a pair of cuff links and a beautiful necklace for his parents. Harry found a few things but nothing he felt would be nice for Draco’s parents. It didn’t help that he didn’t know them very well. As he was about to find Draco to leave he spied a snake pin. It seemed nice enough and Draco had said his parents had been Slytherins too. So he got it to give to Mr. Malfoy. He just had to get Mrs. Malfoy something now. Draco and he went to the robe shop and he got an emerald robe for Mrs. Malfoy and a few for himself. He wouldn’t have to wear his uniform all the time after all. The shop keeper shrunk their things for them and both thanked him profusely.
Zim and Dib had had different ideas. They had gone to a joke shop. It wasn’t nearly as popular as the Zonko’s they had heard of but it was still well stocked. Zim got fake wands for Draco and Harry and Dib got self writing quills that wrote variations of what was being said for the Malfoys who he had learned were in politics. Both laughed at each others’ purchases before going to the bookstore to shop before Dib and Zim finished.
Dib got a book on snakes for Harry and one on Quiditch for Draco. Zim got some funny looking books about muggles he thought the Malfoys would enjoy. Shortly after they made their purchases, which were shrunk for them, Zim and Dib came in. They went off in opposite pairs. Draco with Dib and Harry with Zim.
Harry got a green journal for Draco who complained of short term memory and had inscribed ‘write down what happens and you won’t forget it later’ on the first page. Zim got Dib a small potion’s set since he knew he loved science and potions was closely related to chemistry. Dib got Zim a bottle of skin cream as he had been complaining that the atmosphere made his antennae itch.
When they finished shopping they grabbed the portkey to take them to the Manor. Narcissa and Lucius were lounging in the entrance Hall, waiting for their son and his friends to arrive. When they heard a plop they knew they had arrived. Both looked up from the books they had been reading while waiting to see a green thing and two others with their son. All they could do was sit there in shock for a moment before regaining their composure.
“Welcome boys, did you have fun shopping?” Narcissa asked brightly. They boys picked themselves off the floor and nodded to her. They pulled their purchases out of their pockets and showed them off proudly. She beamed at them.
“Would you like me to enlarge those for you?” They nodded. She waved her wand over the object and muttered the spell and they were their original size once again.
“Well boys, what would you like to do first?” asked a suddenly awake Lucius.
“Can we play Quiditch father?” Draco asked politely.
“Of course you can. But remember, we don’t have but one Nimbus. They will have to ride the Clean Sweeps. It would probably be fair for you to all ride them.” He suggested. They boys agreed and set off for the field. They had watched all of the school games and wanted to play themselves next year. But for now they could play two on two games in Draco’s back yard.
Harry and Draco were on one team with Harry as the goal keeper and Draco as the scorer. Zim was the scorer of his and Dib’s team while Dib was the goal keeper. They played until 100. In the end Harry and Draco won 100-70. They all trooped inside to put the things they had dropped in the entrance hall in their rooms.
Harry had a huge room furnished in green and black like Draco’s. Zim and Dib’s were done in black and silver. It was a very Slytherin theme. Harry’s room was right next to Draco’s and Zim and Dib were right across the hall next to each other. The layout of all of the rooms was the same.
At the front was a small sitting room. To the left was a bathroom the included a bath, a shower, a sink and a toilet. Zim’s bathroom, ironically, was green, Harry’s was silver, Dib’s was black and Draco’s was a dark blue. To the right of the sitting room was the bedroom which was colored the same as the bathroom. There was a door combining Harry and Draco’s room as well as Zim and Dib’s.
Down the hall from their rooms was a game room with many muggle items charmed to work without electricity. They included a TV, game station, games, movies and music. Despite being a pureblood enthusiast, Voldemort encouraged his followers to understand the up side of muggle living. He was not against muggles, just most muggle-borns at Hogwarts.
They watched a few movies before they were too tired to put another one on. Then they headed to bed.
Chapter 7
Harry tried to get to sleep but he just couldn’t get comfortable. He was getting used to sleeping with other people near him. But he didn’t know what to do. He could go to Zim or Dib but they were all the way across the hall and he was afraid of the dark. It was a side effect of being locked in a cupboard for most of his life. The only other option was going into Draco’s room. But he was again faced with his crush on the boy.
He tried to go to sleep despite his discomfort. It didn’t work too well. He finally gave up and trudged to the door separating his and Draco’s rooms. He opened the door and shuffled to the bedroom door and knocked.
Draco was a light sleeper by nature and when the door to his sitting room had opened, so had his eyes. He heard the knock on his door and went to answer it. He was expecting to see Harry but not as scared looking as he was. Apparently he was afraid of sleeping alone.
It was true. After all he had gone through, Harry was often afraid when he shouldn’t be. And who wouldn’t be after rape? But Draco didn’t mind. Harry was his friend no matter what.
Harry was looking at the floor in embarrassment. He hadn’t thought of what to say to Draco. Draco sensed the problem and pulled Harry into his room, closing the door behind them. Harry still had his head bowed. Draco didn’t know what to do right here. He wanted to make Harry feel safe but the only way he could think of was to hug him. But that seemed rather odd considering they were both boys. Plus he kinda liked Harry but he didn’t want heir friendship to be ruined by making anything of it. So he just stood there awkwardly.
He heard Harry mutter something under his breath. “What was that?” He asked.
“I said I’m scared of sleeping alone. Can I sleep with you please?” Harry said only a bit louder, but loud enough for Draco who was straining to hear.
“Of course, come on.” He pulled Harry to his bed and held open the covers. Harry slid under them gratefully. They both fell asleep peacefully in each others’ presence.
Zim was having a similar problem to Harry’s. He wasn’t used to sleeping alone. He had only done so once in his life and that was the night he had landed on Earth because GIR needed to charge. And that night he had been too exhausted to notice the difference to his current position and his barracks on the Missive. There he had been forced to sleep with all of the other cadets. Even on Food Cortia he had slept in a cell/dorm of sorts with the other banished people. Even on his trip to Earth he had slept with GIR but he had had to charge GIR when he got to the planet.
Unlike Harry though, Zim was not afraid of the dark. That might have been because with his eyes he could see no matter how little light there was. He was just lazy that night. So he went to Dib’s room.
Dib was startled when he heard a knock at his door. He was not a light sleeper, but he was not so deep a sleeper that he could sleep through someone knocking on his door. He sleepily made his way to the door and opened it and was surprised to find Zim on the other side.
“I cannot sleep. May I join you tonight?” Zim asked, not caring in the least that this might be considered an unusual request. On his planet, courage was encouraged. Furthermore, he did not know that this was an unusual request and so did not feel any embarrassment.
Dib just stepped aside to let the alien inside. Zim promptly got under the covers and stared at Dib who was staring at him.
“Well, what are you waiting for? You can’t very well sleep standing up; it would be very uncomfortable compared to sleeping in bed now wouldn’t it?” Dib couldn’t refute that logic so he got in bed as well and they both fell asleep.
All four boys were woken in the same manner. Dobby was sent to wake everyone. He first went to Draco’s room and was shocked to see two boys in bed wrapped around each other. Harry had his head tucked into Draco’s neck and Draco had his arms wrapped around Harry’s midsection. Dobby shrugged it off and walked up to the bed side.
“Masters must wake up. It is morning and breakfast in an hour.” Harry and Draco were awake in an instant and blushed at their positions before springing apart quickly.
Dobby went off to Zim’s room next since he knew that Harry was awake. He didn’t find anyone in the room and began to worry. He would have to find the green one after he woke Dib. He would finish his task before finding Zim. He probably snuck off to play games anyway. He appeared in Dib’s room to find nearly the same scene as in Draco’s room. He walked up to the bed and said “Masters wake up now. Breakfast in an hour.”
Dib blearily opened his eyes and saw nothing but green. He wondered slightly why that was all he could see before he realized he didn’t care. Zim woke as well and held the bundle in his arms tighter to him making Dib realize where he was and with whom. He didn’t tense up but neither did he relax, though one should note that he can’t relax if he is already relaxed.
Dib mumbled something to the effect of ‘go away, I’m sleeping’ to the elf who stayed put to make sure they woke up. “Masters must wake up to get ready for breakfast. If they do not Dobby will have to dump water on them.”
This woke Zim who did NOT feel like having water dumped on him the early in the morning, or ever for that matter. He sat up slowly and stretched out his back elegantly. This satisfied the elf who disappeared an instant later. The second he elf was gone Zim plopped back onto the bed and wrapped himself once again around Dib who was very warm at the moment. Dib chuckled lightly and shook Zim’s shoulder gently to get him up.
“Come on Zim, if we don’t get up we’ll miss breakfast.”
“Don’t care. Want warm. Sleep.” Zim mumbled. To respond Dib only pinched Zim’s shoulder and he yelped and got up indignantly to go take a shower. Dib only laughed. Zim sure was funny at times. He got up and went to take his bath in his own bathroom.
Draco got up to take his shower and was startled when Harry came in too. Harry had apparently forgotten Draco would be in there showering as well and flustered and started to back out.
“Wait” Harry stopped at the command. “There’s no need to go back to you room naked. The shower’s big. Come on.” What on earth had possessed him to say that? Not that he didn’t want them to shower together, but still, it was weird. Harry didn’t know how to react. On the one hand he didn’t want to walk all the way back to his room naked but showering with Draco would mean being naked with Draco. He was almost certain he wouldn’t be able to keep away an erection.
He ended up dropping the towel around his wait reluctantly and stepping into the shower with Draco. He turned his back to the blonde who noticed this and took it the wrong way. He thought Harry was disgusted by him and couldn’t bear to see him nude. He couldn’t hold in the sigh of disappointment he felt.
Harry heard the sigh and looked to see his friend with his head hung low. And that wasn’t the only thing that was hung he noticed embarrassed. He couldn’t stop his erection now. But he was still turned and Draco couldn’t see it.
“Draco what’s wrong?” Harry asked in response to his sigh. Draco looked up. Harry looked slightly flushed but he figured it was normal since they were in a shower.
“Nothing Harry. I just… I though we were friends, you know?” Harry frowned.
“No, I don’t know. Of course we’re friends, why would you think otherwise?”
“Because you can’t even face me.” Harry didn’t think before turning around. Draco instantly noticed why his friend was turned. He flushed as well and averted his eyes.
“What now?” Harry asked.
Draco only glanced at Harry’s erection before turning back to give Harry some privacy. Harry sputtered and tuned as well to his himself.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean, that is, here and all. Sorry.” Harry stammered.
“It’s alright, I shouldn’t have… you know, and then you, because I, and, yeah.” Draco stammered right back. Both boys were now turned away from each other and both now had erections. Harry from seeing Draco naked and Draco from seeing Harry’s erection.
“Um, do you want me to…?” Harry trailed off, but his meaning was obvious.
“No, no. Go right ahead. If you don’t mind if I…” Draco suggested.
“…OK.” Both stared into the others’ eyes as they wanked simultaneously. A long silence followed but it was a comfortable silence. Both Harry and Draco washed up and washed each others’ backs. When they got out of the shower they quietly got dressed and then looked at each other again.
Neither knew why they were suddenly so close to each other. But neither moved to put distance between them. Their faces were only a hair’s breadth apart. Harry could feel Draco’s breath on his lips and Draco could feel the same from Harry. Lips came together hesitantly. They were both too scared to move their lips for fear that the other would spring away.
Draco heard Harry whimper slightly and made to ask what was wrong. Before he opened his lips to voice his thought though, the movement made Harry push his lips backwards. He was startled at fist but happy. Very happy. Harry’s lips felt like silk against his own. Both pulled back at the knock on the door. “Breakfast in five!” was called through the door by a female sounding voice. Probably Mrs. Malfoy.
Zim and Dib had no such episode but at breakfast they both noticed Harry and Draco looking flushed. They made no comment but continued to observe as Harry would glance at Draco and Draco at Harry. Both thought it incredibly cute. They knew that if either of them came to them with a question regarding relationships they would encourage them to go for it. There was nothing else they could do without interfering too much.
The four boys went on with their same sleeping arrangements all throughout their stay. On Christmas Day the first to wake up was Harry with his head yet again buried in Draco’s shoulder. The two had continued showering as well as jerking of in front of each other. Kissing was now more common but not made public yet, nor for that matter had they even spoken about it.
Christmas was an informal and comfortable affair. Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy gave everyone special books on spells that they wouldn’t be taught at school. The boys didn’t start reading them yet as they were busy having a grand time playing in the yard and the game room. Video games took up any time that they weren’t playing faugh-Quiditch.
Unfortunately, the time for school to restart came far too soon and Harry and Draco had to stop kissing each morning. It was far too risky in case they got caught in a dorm full of other people.
After a few weeks both got the mistaken impression that the other thought their Christmas activity was a mistake. Dib and Zim watched on sadly as their friends became slightly more closed off towards the other in the way of physical contact.
Dumbledore was led to believe that they were loyal to him when they were really just playing him. Quirell quit at the end of the year with the promise to keep in touch. He was rather cryptic about it and all were wondering what he meant by the comment but resolved not to care.
All of them spent the summer at Malfoy Manor. Draco and Harry continued to ignore their feelings toward each other. This became the norm for the next three years which were surprisingly quiet with the only exception being when Quirell died because Tom got pissed off at him for generally being an idiot.
But by their fourth year at Hogwarts things were as they should be. The fake Moody went up to them at the beginning of the year to let them know what would happen. Ginny Weasley would be given a journal that would sap her energy and use it to turn a memory of a 16 year old Voldemort real. He would retain all of his memories and powers though.
The plan was to be initiated this year as the Tri Wizard Tournament would distract everyone from the girl. She freed the Basilisk from its prison but deliberately told it to not kill anyone. When the time came, not even the Headmaster was paying attention and they all left for the Chamber of Secrets.
A/N: Yes, I realize that some will think of 11 year olds wanking together as disgusting but please, no flames. This is a fanfiction that took me years to write and I’m very proud of it. And I really do want some kind of feedback people, please?
Chapter 8
A solid but not completely real Tom showed Harry, Dib, Draco and Zim the secret rooms of Salazar Slytherin. There were many books written in Parcel Tongue of Dark Magic. While he did Ginny died to make Tom real.
When Tom was finally real a soft glow surrounded him. They all left the Chamber and went to ‘Moody’s’ office. They asked him to be their alibi just in case and he readily agreed and let Tom use his fireplace to Floo out to Malfoy Manor.
‘Moody’ fixed them all cups of tea while they waited for Dumbledore to realize what had happened. It wasn’t too long before that happened and Dumbledore came bursting in rudely.
“Professor Moody, a girl has just died! I believe a monster has eaten her.” They all refrained from rolling their eyes at Dumbledore’s complete lack of knowledge and desire to seem all-knowing.
“What can I do to help Headmaster? And bear in mind that there are children in the vicinity.” ‘Moody’ stage whispered the last part. Dumbledore, being the moron that he was, didn’t even pay attention to the fact that children were near.
“I need you to see if you can get to the monster and if at all possible kill it. I have to tell Ms. Weasley’s parents the bad news.” Dumbledore left thinking he had gotten the children to do what he had told Moody to do.
Zim suggested making a show of looking for the Chamber which they did. By the time school ended Dumbledore was once again reassured that they were loyal to him. Instead of going straight to Malfoy Manor, the boys went to Diagon Alley for some end of school shopping.
While they were walking a stray dog wandered up to Harry and began licking his hand. People around him backed away quickly though Harry couldn’t tell why. “Why are people afraid of this dog?” He asked Draco.
“It looks an awful lot like the Grim. It stands for death, and most people don’t want to die.” Draco explained.
“Well I think he’s nice. Plus I think he likes me. Can we keep him?” Harry pleaded. Draco faked a put upon look at that question but relented anyway. “Yay! We got a doggie!” Harry cheered. They went to the pet store and got some food and a leash.
After Harry attached the leash to the dog, they went for ice creams, letting the dog, who Harry named Grim, have some. When they finally got to the Manor, they met Tom who did a double take upon seeing the dog. He knelt down to inspect it looking over its face thoroughly. The dog had a strange expression that could be described as worried.
Tom stood back and looked Grim in the eye. “Change back or I’ll make you.” He said in a hard voice. The dog seemed resigned and then turned into a shriveled looking man with matted hair and a caved in face. Harry, Draco, Dib and Zim all hurried behind Tom and pulled their wands on the strange man.
“Who are you?” Harry demanded, angry at himself for letting the man trick him into believing he was really a dog.
“Harry, I am Sirius Black, your godfather.”
“I read about you, you escaped Azkaban last year. You were mumbling in your sleep about going to Hogwarts. What do you want?” Draco demanded.
“I want to know what happened to you Harry. You seem so cold and you’re a Slytherin. You’re nothing like your parents were.” Sirius whined.
“In case you forgot, my parents left me to rot with the Dursley’s when they died. They’ve done me no good so why the hell would I emulate people I neither knew nor cared for?” Harry spat. Sirius looked like he had been slapped.
“Harry, your parents would never leave you to those monsters on purpose. Your mother died to save you.”
”Well, she shouldn’t have. I would rather be dead than have had to deal with those bastards whoring me out every weekend!” Harry screamed at Sirius before storming away to his room.
Sirius stood, with tear leaking from his eyes and four teenagers pointing wants at him. A moment later, Sirius collapsed. Apparently, the energy from the ice cream had worn off and he was exhausted.
Tom kept his wand drawn but not pointed while Draco, Zim and Dib used their wands to move the man to a guest room in the near the dungeons. He was an escaped convict after all, weather or not he knew Harry’ parents.
“Make sure there are strong locking spells on any windows or doors. He’s obviously a talented escape artist and I don’t want him loose before I’ve questioned him.” Tom instructed the boys before making his way to Harry’s room.
When he reached his rooms, Tom knocked. He heard snuffling and the wiping of a cloth against flesh. “Who is it?” Came from inside.
“It’s Tom, may I come in?”
Tom heard a muffled ‘alohamora’ from inside before the door swung open.
Harry was sitting on the couch and had apparently been crying rather profusely as evident from his red and puffy eyes. Tom sat next to him.
“You miss them, don’t you? It’s nothing to ashamed of.” Harry hung his head.
“I have a scrapbook. It has pictures of them. It even has some of me with them. When I feel lonely I look through it and I… I feel closer to them somehow. Like… they’re more real and they really loved me.” Harry said. It was something he didn’t want everyone to know and he trusted Tom enough to know that he wouldn’t blab.
“I still miss my mother. She died in childbirth and my father wanted nothing to do with… our kind. It is one of the reasons that I don’t trust muggles.” Tom told Harry to make him feel better. It was true. But now he needed to talk to Black.
“Harry, I’m going to question Sirius Black now. Do you feel up to coming with me?”
Harry thought about it. On the one hand, it would be painful to think that this man should have been the one to raise him but he wasn’t there. But Harry also knew that no matter how much he thought this, the man had been in prison. That made him wonder what he had done to get there. And maybe Sirius could tell him about his mum and dad.
“I’ll go.”
Tom and Harry walked alone to the guest room to question Sirius. When they walked in they saw him sitting on his bed with his head in his hands.
When he heard the door open he looked up to see his godson and a sixteen year old boy entering the room. He was quite curious to know who the 16 year old was. He also wanted to know who the other boys were. He recognized Draco Malfoy but the other two were a mystery. And why was one of them green?!
“We want to know how you found Harry.” Tom wasted no time with preamble.
“I recognized him from papers I’d found in the trash. Who are you and how do you know him?’ Sirius demanded.
“I don’t think you need to know that. But I think Harry here has some questions for you.” Tom turned to Harry indicating that he could ask away.
“How well did you know my parents?” Harry asked in a monotone. He didn’t know if he could handle his own emotions right now.
“I knew your dad really well. I only started to know your mom after they started dating. Your mom was really nice and caring. She loved everyone except your dad because we played pranks on people. Your dad and I were friends all through Hogwarts. We pranked everyone in the school. He was a jokester at heart. Though some may have called him a trouble maker.” Sirius’s face took on a nostalgic look. He missed James. And though this boy looked like him, he acted nothing like his friend.
“Professor Lupin said that you betrayed them. He said that you sold them out.” Harry knew better though. Tom had told him that it had been Peter Pettigrew to sell out his parents, not Sirius Black. But Sirius didn’t need to know that right away. In fact, Harry wanted to know what the man thought of his parents’ death.
“I may as well have.” Sirius said, shocking Harry who hadn’t expected that kind of answer. Not that he had thought of what he would say. But still. “I convinced them that Peter would have been a better Secret Keeper. I thought that Voldemort would never expect him to know. But he did. And Peter told him where they were. It was I who told them to switch to him. I am the reason they are dead.” Sirius finished his tale with tears leaking from his eyes.
Harry watched his godfather cry over the loss of his parents. He truly thought he was to blame. Harry wouldn’t stand for it.
“Tom, would you please call the worm?” he asked politely. Tom started in surprise at the odd request. But he understood the general idea of what Harry intended to do so he did so without another word. Peter stood in the middle of the room.
Sirius stood up in shock. There he was! Peter was standing in the middle of the room. The reason he had gone to prison. The person everyone thought he had killed was in front of him looking wildly around in confusion.
“My lord?” He questioned.
“Wormtail, you have outlived your usefulness. In fact, I don’t think you ever had any usefulness. You gave me a false prophesy. The only use I have for you now is as an offering.”
“Sirius Black, I offer you the reason you were imprisoned as restitution. I also offer you the chance to become closer to your godson, if it pleases him. This I give to you in apology for killing you friends. You have to apology of Lord Voldemort.” With that Tom swept out of the room without looking backwards once, leaving Peter, Harry and Sirius in the same room.
Harry turned to Sirius, and looked him in the eye before pulling out his wand and handing it over.
“Is he really You-Know-Who?” Harry nodded, grinning.
“And he just gave you a toy. Would you like to play with it?” Harry grinned an evil grin.
Sirius got a murderous glint in his eyes and he turned Harry’s wand on the now cowering man who had tried to hide in a corner. Harry put his hand on Sirius’s shoulder to get his attention.
“Why kill him? Why not play with him? Make him suffer. Tom gave him to you to do with as you pleased. It would be a waste to simply kill him. Turn him into your own servant. When the war is over Tom will vouch that you had nothing to do with those deaths and you’ll be proclaimed innocent.” As Harry spoke, the glint in Sirius’s eyes turned hard and cruel but with a happy gleam to it. It seemed the idea appealed to Sirius.
Sirius whispered a binding spell on Peter. It made him obey any command but did nothing to his perception of what was going on. It made the torture all the sweeter that Peter understood that he was bound and had no free-will but felt no loyalty to him.
“Go get me something to eat and drink Worm.” Sirius ordered partly in experimentation and partly because he was hungry. Peter left immediately to do as he was told.
When he arrived in the kitchen he found Voldemort drinking a cola. “Why did you give me to him my lord?” He asked pathetically as he fixed a sandwich for his old friend.
“I am no longer your lord. You shall not call me anything but sir. Sirius is your new master now. I gave you to him because you are incompetent and useless to me. You gave me false information about the Potters. You are the reason Sirius was kept from his godson’s side and so you are the proper gift to him.” Tom explained. “Now do as your master bids.”
Peter did so and brought the food to his new master, thinking on how he would now be made to do many things he did not wish to do. At least with Voldemort, he had the choice of betrayal. Now he did not have that choice. And he would be forced to so forevermore.
Chapter 9
Sirius looked up as his new servant arrived carrying a plate with a sandwich and chips on it and a can of soda in the other hand. He knelt before Sirius who sat on his bed to offer up his food. Sirius took it almost reverently. This would be the first real mean he had had in many years. He intended to enjoy it.
Harry looked on as his Godfather savored each bite of his ham and cheese sandwich, chips and soda. He had never seen anyone appreciate food as much as this man obviously did now. When Sirius finished he simply handed the plate to Peter with instructions to wash them and any other dirty dishes. Peter left grumbling.
“So, Harry, who are those friends of yours? I know who the Malfoy boy is but what about the others?” Sirius asked in hopes of connecting.
“Zim, the green one, is an alien who goes to school with me. Dib, the other one, goes to school with us too. Zim has a robot named GIR that’s really playful. Dib takes care of our pet snake, Taranius, that we let wander the hall at Hogwarts and spy for us.”
”You’re a parceltongue?” Sirius gasped.
“We all are. Zim, Dib and I are naturally parceltongue and Tom did a spell to make Draco one too. It’s kinda cool to have our own language at school that no one else understands.”
“But that makes you dark!”
“No, what makes us dark is our desire to kill old Dumblefart.” Harry chirped.
“Harry!” Sirius gasped.
“Sirius!” Harry mock gasped back.
“You can’t go around telling people that you want to kill Dumblebutt. You’ll get in trouble. You might get caught if you tell enough people.” Sirius warned Harry with a straight face. They both burst into laughter at the same time.
Peter finished washing dishes and went into Sirius’s room only to be allowed to do nothing but sit in a corner and sleep if he wanted.
Sirius and Harry finished bonding and left to go for a walk with Sirius as a dog of course. Tom went to his room to plan another attack just for the hell of it. Zim and Dib were fooling around in Zim’s room and Draco was eating a snack.
When Harry and Sirius got back they caught up with Draco who was walking back to his room. “Hey Harry, hello Mr. Black. How was your walk?”
“It was fine Mr. Malfoy, but you can call me Sirius.”
“In that case, you can call me Draco. Mr. Malfoy is my dad.” Draco smiled and Sirius smiled back.
But then Sirius noticed the slight tension between the two boys. Thinking it was cute and that if Harry was gay then more power to him, he decided to leave them alone together.
“Well, I’m exhausted. I’m going to let you two hang out while I go take a nap. I think I’m not used to being able to walk around that often.” With that, Sirius left the two fumbling boys to their own devices, which was never a good idea.
“So, Harry, I take it the two of you bonded?” Draco asked. Harry nodded.
“Yeah, he’s pretty cool. Tom gave him Peter as an apology for being kept in prison and kept away from me and Sirius made him a slave.”
Draco snorted with laughter. “That’s all he’s really good for. Look at what happened the last time he was used for ‘intelligence’.” The moment the words came out of his mouth, Draco regretted them. Harry face closed off and his eyes hardened as he wrapped his arms around himself.
“Oh Harry, I didn’t mean it the way it sounded.” Draco said. “Please don’t close off. You know I hate it when you’re closed off.” Draco shook his shoulders.
“They left Draco, and they took Sirius too. Peter left them and Lupin lost himself. They all leave at some point. So will Zim and Dib. And so will you.” Harry started to cry.
“Harry, I won’t leave, I promise. Please believe me.” Draco begged and hugged Harry close to him without thinking about it. Harry calmed slightly but continued to shake. Draco held fast, not letting go even when Harry’s legs gave out. Draco half carried Harry to his room to lay him down. But it appeared that during the trip to the bed, Harry had latched his arms around Draco’s neck and he wasn’t letting go.
Draco tried to extract himself from Harry’s grip but Harry whimpered so much that Draco couldn’t stand to leave him alone. He let Harry wrap his arms tighter around his neck and slipped into bed with him, knowing Harry wouldn’t be able to sleep well.
Zim lay on his bed with Dib lying next to him asleep. They had just finished giving each other head and were both pretty exhausted but Zim had too much on his mind to sleep right now.
He wanted to know who Sirius Black was and why he was interested in his friend. He quietly slipped out of his room, careful not to wake his slumbering boyfriend, to check on their new guest.
He had not made it ten steps before Black bumped into him.
“Excuse me, I didn’t mean to walk into anyone.” Sirius apologized.
“Quite all right. I didn’t look where I was going either. Do you mind if we talked? I was wondering about you earlier.”
Sirius nodded and led the way to his room where they could talk after he sent Peter out of the room to do chores.
“So what did you want to talk about?” Sirius asked.
“Why did you come for Harry?” Zim asked straightforwardly.
“He’s my godson. I made a promise to his parents to take care of him and I won’t let anyone get in the way of me keeping that promise. Not even the law.” Sirius muttered the last part darkly.
“Obviously if you escaped prison just to see him. That must be some promise to you.” Zim prompted.
“I was best friends with his father all through our school days. Even though Harry acts nothing like James and is obviously his own person, he still reminds me of my friend. They both did what they wanted and damn the consequences. Harry is just stealthier about how he gets what he wants. Where James would have just taken something out from under someone’s nose, Harry would make them want to give it to him. He’s a true Slytherin.”
“You don’t think of that as an insult?” Zim asked.
“Just because my friends were Gryffindors, doesn’t mean I was one too. I was a Slytherin through and through (1). How else would I have figured out a way to escape?”
(1)- I’m pretty sure that Sirius was in Gryffindor but for my story he was friends with the rest of them and that’s how he knew a bunch of otherwise unknown passages. After all, Slytherins are naturally sneaky; they would want to know how to sneak anywhere. That’s how I think the Marauder’s Map was created.
“Wisely said Mr. Black.”
“Sirius.”
“Then I am Zim.” Zim stuck out his and they both shook hands.
“Well, I really am a bit tired, if you don’t mind?” Sirius politely asked Zim to leave. Zim took the hint and left to go back to bed himself.
~~~~~~~~~~
Harry and Draco woke the next morning tangled together. Both sprang apart immediately and blushed.
”What are you doing here?” Harry asked Draco quietly.
“You wouldn’t let go and I didn’t want to wake you.” Draco said just as quietly.
“Oh, thanks then.”
“No problem. I’m sorry about what I said last night. It was insensitive of me and I shouldn’t have said it. And I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.” Draco apologized.
“You didn’t mean to. It’s all right.” Harry reassured him. He leaned over and gave Draco a tentative hug. Draco hugged back happily and gripped Harry’s shirt between his fingers as though it was a life line. Harry leaned his head against Draco’s shoulder, smelling his long time crush. No matter how long he ignored it, his crush on Draco was not going away.
They pulled apart reluctantly and blushed again.
“Well, I’m hungry, do you want to come with me to grab breakfast?” Harry said, trying to get out of the awkward situation.
“I’d like that.” Draco said and gave Harry one last hug before they went off to breakfast.
They ate a simple breakfast that Sirius ordered Peter to fix them. It consisted of eggs, bacon, sausage, toast and fresh squeezed orange juice. Afterwards they went to visit Tom.
Tom sat on his bed thinking of more ways to cause trouble for the hell of it when Harry and Draco walked into the room. They were a little closer together than would be considered normal, Tom noticed with a smile.
“What can I do for the two of you?” He asked.
“We were wondering what it was you were planning to do next. Now that’s you’re corporeal you must be planning something. We want in on it.” Draco said.
“Well, I was planning an attack on Diagon Alley for the hell of it. But only after you all get your letters and get your things.”
As if on cue, two owls swooped into the room through the window carrying letters in their beaks addressed to Harry and Draco. They could only assume that two other owls were going to wherever Zim and Dib were to deliver letter to them.
“Well then, that settles that. You can go to Diagon Alley tomorrow and we’ll attack next week. Sound good?”
“It sounds great. I just need a disguise before the attack.” Harry answered.
“You can all use some extra masks and hooded robes. You’re all too conspicuous to go out without a glamour spell of some sort.” Tom sent them on their way.
Harry and Draco went to find Dib and Zim to see if they had gotten their letters too. When they arrived at the library they found Zim pushing Dib against a bookshelf and snogging the daylights out of him. Draco and Harry stopped cold and stared at their friends snogging and both started thinking basically the same thing. Draco was thinking of him snogging Harry and Harry was thinking of him snogging Draco.
When Harry looked at Draco and Draco looked at Harry they both blushed as though they had been caught. Then they noticed the two owls calmly sitting on the table nearby while Zim and Dib were otherwise occupied. The letters looked like they were from Hogwarts so Draco and Harry hurried out of the room before Zim and Dib noticed them staring.
Once they had left the room, Harry and Draco looked sheepishly at each other. Both had the same thoughts on their minds and they knew it. Slowly they moved together. Draco made the first move. He brought his hand up to cradle Harry’s cheek and leaned closer to brush his lips over Harry’s. Harry sighed happily at the feeling of Draco’s lips on his and moved closer.
Draco slid his hand backwards towards Harry’s neck to tilt his head and deepen the kiss and swiped his tongue across Harry’s now kiss-swollen lips. Harry moaned lightly when his tongue came in contact with Draco’s. They broke apart slowly, wanting that moment to last as long as possible.
But of course, it had to end sometime. They looked into each other’s eyes and, seeing something they both approved of, they moved off to leave Zim and Dib to enjoy more of what they were doing. They would notice the owls when they were done.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The day for the boys to do their shopping came and went. It had been uneventful to say the least. The most exciting thing that happened was that Sirius accompanied them in dog form and ate some ice cream with them.
Two days later they went in hooded robes and masks with Voldemort, The Malfoys, and Peter in Sirius’s stead. Each pulled out their wands and began casting anything from the killing curse to the cutting curse if it went through their heads. By the end of the raid, Aurors had shown up and were fighting back.
Dumbledore was with them.
“Tom your reign of terror ends here.” ******** thundered.
“Funny, that’s just what I was thinking about killing you. The only difference between us is that you manipulate people and I say what I’m doing upfront.” Voldemort pointed his wand at Dumbledore and used it to block a killing curse the old ******** had sent at him.
But before anyone could blink an eye, the most amazing thing happened to Dumbledore.
A/N: I know how short it is but this is very climactic (not the end). I just needed to set up for what happens next.
And if anyone reviews, then it will make my day, I'm really starting to loose my love for this story since no one is writing any comments or anything.
Chapter 10
A/N: I have just come up for the best surprise you guys will ever get in your fanfic-reading careers. It won’t come for a few more chapters but this will be the most outrageous pairing ever.
In the middle of the fight between Dumbledore and Tom Riddle, before anyone could blink an eye, the most amazing thing happened to Dumbledore.
A spaceship landed on his head, smashing him flat! And not just any spaceship: An Irken Spaceship!
Out of the ship, a green Irken girl stepped, uncaring of the man she had just unwittingly killed.
Zim stepped up. “What the hell are you doing here Tak?!” Zim had learned about her when he had been in school. What she had to do with him though, he did not know.
“Oh don’t act like you don’t know *Zim*” She spat his name. “You ruined my life with that little stunt during Impending Doom 1. I was forced into menial labor because you lost me power on the big brain which was placing me at the time.” She yelled at him.
Zim stared at her. She was complaining about menial labor. At least with that you got paid. He had been in prison. If anyone had the right to complain it was him. He never got the chance to yell back at her though as Tom yelled for him.
“You just took my kill from me!” Tak looked sharply at him. “I was supposed to kill Albus and you ******** landed on him!”
“You humans are of no concern of mine. You are inferior life forms. And no matter how good your cloaking device, I still found you Zim. I have found you and now I will exact my REVENGE!!!” Tak raised her fists in glee. Her glee didn’t last long though as Zim cast a water blasting spell on her.
Tak screamed in agony and curled up into a fetal position. When she could bear the pain she spoke but did not rise.
“How did you do that?” It came out a whimper.
“It’s a common spell on this planet and I’m rather proficient at it. But then again, so is almost everyone else. You can’t do this kind of thing without training though, and I’ve got the best training of all.” He gloated. Okay, so he didn’t have the BEST training of all, but he was well trained. “And now everyone knows what to do to bring you pain.”
It was true. Everyone, both light and dark, had their wands pointed at Tak.
With everyone pointing their wands at Tak, she had no choice but to push her own ‘Self-Destruct’ button. Everyone furiously watched as Tak blew sky high. They reflexively drew their wands higher with her. All of them but Harry, Draco, Zim, Dib, Tom and Peter.
They leveled their wands at the Aurors and quickly cast the killing curse on each of them and left. The world would see what it would be like with the ministry in charge without its Aurors to back it up and then they would take over.
The first thing the ministry did was appoint one, Dolores Umbridge to be Harry’s overseer at Hogwarts next year. She had called him to school early to speak with him about the rise of Voldemort.
FLASHBACK
“If you had done it right the first time, none of this would be happening.” She didn’t seem to notice or care that he had been an infant ‘the first time’.
END FLASHBACK
Harry had a hard time dealing with her every time she called him to her office. Eventually, she decided that Harry might not be mentally stable and dictated that he be given a psychiatrist to determine if he was even sane.
Harry had no doubt in his mind that the psychiatrist was told to say that he wasn’t sane even if he was. Therefore he decided to play with his head.
Harry walked into the psychiatrist’s office and noticed immediately the Gryffindor theme; it was all in red and gold and it instantly made Harry sick at the blatant favoritism. The message was clear: Gryffindor = good. And Slytherins were the antithesis of Gryffindors in every way and therefore must be evil.
The psychiatrist came bustling into the room a few moments after Harry situated himself in what was obviously meant to be his chair and was looking around to glean more information on just who the psychiatrist was. It never hurt to know who you’re dealing with.
“I thought we would start out with some simple inkblots.” He pulled one out and showed it to Harry to see before placing it on the table. “What do you see here?” He asked.
“An inkblot” Harry said bluntly.
“I mean what do you think it looks like?” He said kindly.
“A mutant octopus on top of a medieval castle juggling flaming chainsaws while eating a glazed ham.” Harry said having planned that response for whatever the blot looked like. The psychiatrist stared blankly at him for a few moments before scribbling furiously in his notepad.
“It seems you think your life has been transformed into something beyond your control and your home is a madhouse with what you believe to be an outdated way of thinking.” Harry inwardly laughed at that. That was what Draco had said when they talked about it.
The psychiatrist put away the rest of the inkblots, not wanting to continue with that.
“Now, what do you think of the death of Dumbledore?”
“I don’t. I think it’s a pity he died, but I didn’t know him as more than a Headmaster. You can’t really grieve someone you didn’t know.” Harry knew better than to tell him about the Headmaster’s betrayal of his trust. It would only lead to disaster.
“That makes sense. But what do you think about the attack leading to the Headmaster’s death?”
“I think it’s horrible that Voldemort” Harry noticed the other man flinch “is back. I feel horrible that I didn’t kill him the first time. I fully intend to finish the job soon.” Harry said confidently. Draco had suggested that he say something to that effect.
“I think that will be all for this session. Ms. Umbridge will inform you of any other meetings.” He held out his hand and Harry shook it and they left.
Umbridge didn’t call him back for any more sessions. Apparently he was being helpful enough for her liking. But the rest of the world wasn’t doing so well.
Companies were in ruin from all the thefts lately and none of them were by Death Eaters. They had been told to be on their best behavior. It was to be a message that while the rest of the world was in chaos, Tom could keep order among his ranks.
And since so many things had been stolen, prices skyrocketed, leaving people to steal in order to get anything they needed. Basically there was pandemonium.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Harry sat on his bead thinking. Not about the pandemonium though. He was thinking about Draco. How was he supposed to act around the other boy? They really needed to talk. Harry didn’t know who was supposed to make the first move in this kind of relationship.
Just then, Draco came into the room and, seeing Harry, went over to sit with the other boy.
“Hey Harry.”
”Hay Draco. I was just thinking about you.” Harry said.
“What about?” Draco asked curiously.
Harry hesitated, thinking about how to answer the question. “How dose this… relationship… progress? With us, that is.” Harry ducked his head in embarrassment.
Draco scooted closer to Harry and wrapped an arm around his shoulders. “However you want it to go. I’m just happy that we have a relationship.” Draco said smiling softly.
Harry smiled shyly in response to Draco and looked at his lips. He didn’t know how to convey that he wanted to kiss Draco now. But thankfully, Draco caught on and leaned over to kiss Harry.
Harry mewled happily as Draco’s hand moved from his shoulder to neck and began stroking behind his ear. He had no idea how sensitive his ear was. Harry loosely wrapped an arm around Draco’s middle, stroking gently at Draco’s sides. Draco smiled into the kiss at the fact that Harry was taking initiative.
Harry tentatively parted his lips and Draco slipped his tongue into the warm cavern that was Harry’s mouth. Harry moaned lightly as Draco’s tongue and his moved together. When Draco pulled away, Harry whimpered pitifully at the loss. But no more than a moment later Draco attached his lips to the other side of Harry’s neck than his hand.
“Oooooh, that’s nice.” Harry sighed breathily. Draco worried the skin in his mouth in response and Harry tightened his hold on Draco’s waist. Harry slid his hands up and down Draco’s back and ended up inside Draco’s shirt. Draco hissed at the skin on skin contact. Soon both of them were rutting against each other with Draco in Harry’s lap.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next day found Sirius rushing out of his room to find Tom and the boys. He had thought of an amazing stress reliever. Torturing Peter! And he knew the best way to start.
“Hey guys, come here. I have to show you something.” They all followed him to his room where Sirius had told Peter to stay. The rat was sitting in a corner trying to curl up into a ball as if it would hide him. He had also been ordered not to speak. He was still allowed to scream, cry or make any other noise of distress.
Sirius pulled his wand and pointed it at Peter. “Animorphi” he said. All the happened was a small spark coming out of the front of his wand. Sirius stared at his wand in confusion. “Animorphi” he said again. This time not even a spark came out of his wand.
“If I may?” Tom held out his hand. Sirius placed his wand in Tom’s hand and Tom restated the incantation. Peter was instantly turned into his animangi form, a rat.
“Why the hell did it work for you, but not me?!” Sirius demanded.
“I think it has something to do with your stay in Azkaban. I think it may have sapped some of your power. We will need to restore you to your former glory. Prowess Maximus.” Tom said waving his wand at Sirius.
The spell was designed to restore someone to their maximum power. Unfortunately, the spell had an unforeseen side effect when administered on Sirius. Sirius’s power was restored, and so was his youth. You see, due to his stay in Azkaban, he was unable to simply regain his power. He was transformed into his 21 year old self in order to regain his power. The age right before he was imprisoned.
Sirius looked down at himself and noticed his change of physique. “Holy crap! I’m young again!”
Everyone was staring at him, so Sirius didn’t noticed that Tom’s stare was different than the others.
Tom looked at Sirius as a 21 year old and realized that with his now 17 year old body came 17 year old hormones. He couldn’t help but notice that Sirius was extremely attractive in his youth.
He quickly averted his gaze though and looked at his feet as though deeply in thought. Why would Sirius have been turned into a 20 or so year old? It didn’t make any sense.
Sirius patted himself down, not noticing that Tom was discreetly watching him. He felt over his younger body, noticing that many, if not all, of his scars were gone. He was toned, not caved in like he used to be. He was even tanned again. He didn’t know how this was possible, but at the moment, he didn’t give a damn.
Chapter 11
A/N: I don’t know how many of you all remember what happened with Olivander (if you don’t, then reread chapter 2) but I’m finally getting back to that.
The next night Olivander came to Voldemort’s lair for the first time in almost a decade. He had been sending messages through others but his presence had been requested. That was to say that one of his Death Eaters had come to his home and held him at wand-point until he swore that he would go to see Voldemort.
As he arrived he noticed no one. Not even any guards. He went to a table and sat down to wait for Voldemort to enter. But when did enter, he was not alone. There were 5 others with him. He recognized them as Harry Potter, Zim Irken, Dib Membrane, Draco Malfoy and the escaped convict Sirius Black.
“This is the man you told me about Zim?” Tom asked in confirmation. Zim nodded sadistically. This man was going to be punished and he wanted to watch.
Tom held out his wand and pointed it at Olivander who cringed, thinking he was about to be killed. Tom cast a binding spell instead leaving the man his powers but with no way to access them without someone to cast the counter-spell. Olivander looked up confused.
“Lord Voldemort, what have you done to me? I am your loyal servant.”
”Hardly. My associate, Zim, has informed me that you have cast observation spells on every wand you’ve ever made, including mine. And don’t think for one moment that your punishment is simply to loose your powers. Sirius, you did call your friend here, correct?”
“Oh yeah. He’s confused as hell but he’s here. He’s in the guest room right now. Want me to go get him?” Sirius asked eagerly. Tom nodded and Sirius left eagerly to get his friend.
Sirius ran into the guest room and ran straight into the man standing in front of the door, waiting for him to come back.
“Sirius! What the hell happened? You’re young. You’ve joined Voldemort! What the hell?!” The man rattled off.
“Come with me. You need to get to the main room immediately. Tom has something for you.” The man felt fear fill him at the thoughts of what the dark lord might have for him.
They walked in silence to the main room and when they entered everyone turned to look at them.
“Ah, Remus Lupin, thank you for joining us.” Remus’s jaw dropped at hearing Voldemort himself, being polite. “I have been informed that you are the representative of non-human affairs and have thus decided to make an attempt at retribution. I have a gift for you.” Tom waved his hand towards Olivander.
“What?” Remus commended himself for managing to say that one word.
“He is a gift to you. As a servant. He can prepare your potion for you if you wish or he can do menial labor. His powers have been bound and I do not suggest unbinding them. He is a gift of good faith. An alliance gift if you will.” Tom explained to the still-shocked werewolf.
Remus looked at the man who looked furious at the situation. “He doesn’t look too happy to be a gift.” Remus stated.
“Ah, I forgot.” Tom cast the spell to make Olivander strictly obedient to his master’s orders.
Remus knew that it was wrong to accept this gift from Voldemort. For one thing he would be accepting it on the behalf of all non-humans. And for another thing, wasn’t slavery wrong?
“Why are you giving me a gift?” Remus asked.
“You are the non-human representative, yes?” Remus nodded. “I am giving you this gift as a token of good will towards all non-human entities. Unless they directly appose me, I will bring them no harm.” Voldemort promised.
“But why him?”
“He had betrayed the wizarding world. He put observation spells on every wand he’s ever made, even mine and yours.” Remus was suddenly enraged. How dare he ‘observe’ what everyone did with their magic? That was so invasive. He would basically know what everyone was doing and when. Though he supposed the muggle-raised people had it better as they were used to doing things without the use of magic.
“Why thank you Lord Voldemort, I would be happy to accept your gift on behalf of all non-humans.” With that the spell made Remus Olivander’s new master.
“You said his magic was bound but that he could brew me potions. How is that possible? I’m afraid I must have been sleeping when they explained that in class.” Remus asked politely.
“Ah, yes. He has magic. He just has no access to it. All that is required to brew potions is magic, not the use of it. As long as he has the magic but no access to it then he of much less threat to you and more help.” Voldemort explained.
“Thank you for your generosity Lord Voldemort. Sirius, can we talk?”
“Of course Remus.” And they left the main room on their way towards Remus’s room.
“Why are you here, Sirius?” Remus asked.
“Because Harry is here. Weather I’m legal or not, I’m still his godfather.” Sirius explained solemnly.
“You didn’t betray them, did you?” Remus asked guiltily, suddenly realizing the truth. He had suspected it but pushed the thought from his head. It had made his heart ache to think of Sirius being in prison for a crime he didn’t commit so he hadn’t thought on it after that.
“Yes I did. I’m the one that suggested Peter be the Secret Keeper. It’s my fault.” Sirius hung his head in shame.
“No Sirius. If Peter did it, then it’s not your fault. Don’t think like that.” Remus instructed sternly.
Sirius’s head shot up. “That reminds me: PETER!” Remus blinked in surprised at Sirius’s 180 in attitude. Then he realized who Sirius had called for. And in came Peter.
“Fix food for us now. I want something cheesy. Remus?”
“Um, cheese sounds good.” Remus answered in a daze. Peter went off to fix their food.
“Sirius, why is Peter, not only alive, but fixing your food?” Remus asked, still dazed.
“He staged his death to work for Voldemort. When I came after Harry he gave Peter to me as an apology for making me spend 13 years in prison. He does what I tell him to when I tell him. He is, in effect, my slave.”
Sirius searched Remus’s face for any sigh that he thought that was inhumane. But Remus’s face held only grim satisfaction. Remus thought it was appropriate that Peter was finally getting his just deserts for betraying James and Lily.
Half an hour later, Peter came in with two trays full of macaroni and cheese and chopped up hot dogs. Peter still hadn’t found a cookbook in the kitchen so he was making simple dishes for now.
Sirius and Remus ate, chatting amiably throughout the meal, catching up on their lives while Sirius was in prison and Remus became a teacher. Peter and Olivander went back to the kitchen to eat as well, out of the way of their masters.
In Harry and Draco’s room both boy’s were settling down for bed. They stripped down to their boxers and slipped under the covers with Draco spooning behind Harry.
*HARRY’S DREAM*
Harry was standing alone in the square where Dumbledore had died. There was no spaceship there but Dumbledore was. He was standing where he had been before he died and was looking straight at Harry.
Harry backed up quickly. “You’re dead.” He said, though he didn’t sound too sure of himself.
“Did you really think that flattening me would kill me? You know better Harry. Nothing can kill me. I’ll always be there to make your life hell.” With that Dumbledore shot forward, grabbed Harry by the arm, and whisked them away.
When they landed there were at the Dursley’s house. Dumbledore pulled him roughly up to the bedroom where he had spent every weekend. Waiting there were all then men and women his uncle had been paid by to molest and or rape him. They all had the most malicious grins on their faces ever.
Harry started to struggle against Dumbledore’s hold on his arm.
“Let me go!” Harry screamed at him.
“Okay” And Dumbledore threw him into the middle of the room. The people swarmed over him and fell on top of him.
*END HARRY’S DREAM*
Harry shot up in bed screaming. Draco shot up with him at quickly covered his ears. Harry realized where he was and collapsed backwards, whimpering. Draco went down and wrapped his arms around Harry’s middle.
“Shhhhh, it’s okay. I’m here. It’s okay.” Draco cooed to with other boy. Harry slowly relaxed against Draco.
“Thank you.” He whispered.
“No problem. Want to talk about it?” Harry nodded.
“Dumbledore was back and he threw me in a room with all the people that raped me. He said ‘did you really thing that flattening me would kill me?’ He was alive, Draco. And he sent me back to the Dursley’s house. I don’t want to go back there. Don’t make me go back. Please.” Harry clung to Draco.
Draco tightened his hold on Harry. “You never have to go back Harry. I’ll make sure of it.” Draco buried his nose in Harry’s neck. Harry calmed down and fell asleep with Draco following shortly after
~~~~~~~~~~~
Tom went to the kitchen at the same time Sirius went to get his morning coffee.
“Morn’n’ Tom” Sirius mumbled incoherently.
“Good morning Sirius. Did you sleep well?” Tom asked, sweeping his eyes over Sirius’s form.
“Mm” Sirius answered, taking a swig from his coffee cup.
“Is that a yes?” Tom asked amusedly.
“Yeah. Hey, I wanted to thank you for before.”
“It was nothing. I didn’t even know it would do that to your body.” Tom conceded.
“Yeah but it was still nice. You wanted to give me back my power. It’s the nicest thing anybody’s done for me since, well, I was accused of murdering Peter.” Sirius blushed and hung his head.”
“I told you, it was nothing. I’m just glad it made you young again instead of something else. I hope nothing bad happens because of this either.” Tom said truthfully.
“I hope so too. But you didn’t know that anything bad would happen. It was still really nice. I really appreciate it.” Sirius suddenly wrapped his arms around Tom and let go just as suddenly.
“Sorry. I don’t know what came over me.” But Sirius did know what had come over him.
He was so appreciative of what Tom had done for him that he was looking on him in a new light. He could see the 17 year old hottie that had helped him out and given him his powers and old body back. He could see the Tom that cared enough to help him just because he couldn’t do a more complicated spell. He could do the more simple spells but Tom cared enough to help him do more complicated ones.
“I didn’t mind.” Tom mumbled, almost too quiet to hear. But Sirius did hear. He looked up at Tom sharply.
“What?” Tom’s 17 year old body also gave him 17 year old emotions, including embarrassment.
Tom mustered up the courage and leaned over to give Sirius a quick peck on the lips and ran out of the kitchen to his room after all of his courage left him.
Sirius stood stock still, reeling from the chaste kiss he had just received. Tom had just kissed him. On the lips. He could still taste Tom’s lips on his. Oh God Tom tasted heavenly. But Tom wasn’t here. Where was he? Sirius needed to find him.
He set off searching for Tom and found him, almost an hour later, hiding in his room sitting on his bed facing the other way.
Sirius approached slowly and sat down on the bed next to Tom, waiting for Tom to say something.
“Do you hate me?” Tom finally whispered. Sirius’s heart almost broke at how pathetic and lost Tom sounded.
Sirius leaned over, wrapping an arm around Tom’s shoulders and whispered hotly in the other boy’s ear. “What do you think?” He licked the lobe as he finished speaking. Tom shuddered lightly and leaned into the caress.
“How could I hate you?” Sirius asked, still whispering in Tom’s ear.
“I’m the reason you were in prison for 13 years. How can you not hate me?” Tom was ashamed of himself.
“You’re also he man who gave me back, not only my powers and my body but also my godson and a reason to live.” Sirius licked behind Tom’s ear, watching Tom shudder in pleasure.
Tom leaned his head to the side to allow Sirius to continue, which Sirius did with gusto. Tom’s breath became labored and heavy and he reached over to pull Sirius closer. Sirius tilted Tom’s head to the side and kissed his way to those delectable lips he had been thinking about since Tom had kissed him.
Tom had parted his lips in anticipation so that when Sirius got to them, he could slip his tongue in quickly. Tom’s tongue wrestled with Sirius’s for dominance though both knew neither really cared who won.
Sirius trailed his hand lower towards Tom’s chest. He rubbed over Tom’s n****e through his shirt and Tom arched into his hand. “And I think you deserve a reward.” Sirius punctuated his statement by bringing his hand lower to rub Tom through his pants.
As they fell asleep afterwards only one thing went through Tom’s mind: Had Sirius done this because he wanted to and possibly felt the same way, or had he done it because it was his way of repaying some sort of debt?
A/N: Aw, that's so sad. But what's even sadder is that I don't think anybody even gets onto this guild anymore. crying

Chapter 12
Sirius awoke feeling refreshed and happy for the first time in what felt like forever. He pulled Tom closer to him even though Tom was still asleep and would have no reason to want to leave.
Tom woke when Sirius pulled him closed and he wondered why he was doing that. Was it at all possible that Sirius cared? He certainly hoped so. So when Sirius mumbled his name in his sleep, Tom smiled to himself.
But Sirius wasn’t asleep. He slipped his hand down Tom’s front and back up to caress his chest. Tom squirmed in pleasure and snuggled back into Sirius’s front, eliciting a groan when he accidentally pushed his rear into Sirius’s groin.
“Sirius?” Tom asked, cursing his own 17 year old insecurity.
“Yeah?” Sirius mumbled into Tom’s shoulder.
“Is this just… I mean… do you… are we…?” Tom trailed off, unable to find the words he needed. Sirius stared at him before the meaning sunk in.
Sirius leaned over and kissed Tom softly. “Tom, would you be my boyfriend?” Sirius asked quietly, feeling sort of stupid for asking that question. But the expression on Tom’s face was worth the feeling of stupidity. Tom was beaming so much that Sirius was sure his face would split if he kept it up.
“YES!” Tom squealed happily as he tackled Sirius, not caring about his own lack of decorum. Sirius laughed good-naturedly and wrapped his arms around the happy bundle in his arms.
A/N: Yes, I’m weird, I have a sub!Tom in my story, deal with it!
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zim and Dib sat together in their room on the bed playing truth or dare. But it was mostly truth, neither was trying to get the other one to do something dumb. They were using the game as an excuse to get to know one another better.
“Truth” Zim answered.
“Are you a virgin?” Dib asked.
“Nope” Zim answered. “You?”
“No” Dib grumbled angrily, thinking back on what had happened.
“How’d you loose it?” Dib asked.
“I was in Food Cortia and I needed to distract the owner and get into his room at the same time to get my stuff back and get out.” Zim summarized. “How did you loose yours?”
“A school bully” Dib hung his head.
“Has He been dealt with?” Zim growled.
“Yeah, I dealt with him.”
“How?” Zim asked softly.
“Long range castration ray” Dib grinned. Zim grinned in response. That was a great way to deal with someone like that.
Zim reached out to give Dib a comforting hug and Dib sighed, falling into his arms. “You know I would have dealt with him if you needed me to right?”
Dib nodded snuggling into Zim’s arms. Zim sighed, falling backwards into their bed. He pulled a blanket up to cover them and before they knew it they were falling asleep in each other’s arms.
~~~~~~~~~
After their jubilant get-together, Sirius and Tom somehow managed to get into a game of tag. It was a simple reach over and say ‘tag’ thing until Tom leaned backwards so that Sirius couldn’t reach him.
When Sirius had leaned over to tag Tom, Tom moved to the side and Sirius fell off the bed. Tom laughed at the position Sirius had landed in with his legs over his head and a scowl on his face. Sirius had untangled himself and lunged after Tom who had hurried over to the other side of the bed to avoid getting tackled.
Sirius climbed over the bed to throw himself at the other boy, but once again, Tom moved to the side, falling off the bed himself in the process. Sirius grinned down at him and touched his finger to Tom’s forehead.
“Tag”
Tom scowled and got up, and threw himself at Sirius but Sirius moved towards the door, opening it and running out with Tom hot on his heals. They ran through the house around and around, ending up in the kitchen where Tom pinned Sirius to the counter. Sirius stopped laughing abruptly, staring into Tom’s eyes.
Tom leaned forward hesitantly, brushing his lips against Sirius who opened his mouth enough to let Tom in. Tom took the invitation, slipping his tongue in and stroking Sirius’s tongue with his. Sirius moaned lightly, sucking lightly on the proffered tongue. Tom felt himself harden when Sirius stared sucking and pushed tightly against Sirius.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dib and Zim woke the next morning with Zim’s arms wrapped tightly around Dib’s middle, and Dib’s head resting beneath Zim’s chin. Zim let go and stretched his arms and back while Dib flopped out of bed, intent on getting some breakfast.
Zim followed Dib into the kitchen but bumped into him in the doorway.
“Dib, what’s wrong? Why aren’t you moving?” Zim peered around Dib’s shoulder to see what was holding him up. There he saw it: Tom had Sirius pinned and they were making out heavily against the counter. And they were naked.
All Zim could do was squeak. But that squeak was enough to alert the snogging couple of their arrival. Tom pulled away from Sirius slowly, all the while wishing he didn’t have to.
“Um, hi. Sorry for the shock. We should probably be wearing clothes. We’ll just be going now.” And with that both of them rushed out of the kitchen and back to Tom’s room.
“Well, that was weird” Dib concluded. Zim only nodded. “But it doesn’t change the fact that I’m hungry.” And Dib moved to fix himself a bowl of cereal. Zim moved to get a toaster pastry since he wasn’t sure if he was allergic to milk or not, and he didn’t feel like finding out the hard way.
Meanwhile, Tom and Sirius got dressed, knowing they would have to answer a few questions soon.
By the time they were dressed, Harry and Draco had gotten up and Zim and Dib had told them what they had witnessed. Harry and Draco’s twin looks of shock showed that they had had no idea that something like that had been going on.
Sirius knocked lightly on the inside of the door that had been standing open to alert the boys that they were there. Zim, Dib, Draco, Harry and surprisingly Remus all looked up as Sirius and Tom walked into the room holding hands. Sirius looked to Tom and sighed, knowing that they had a lot of explaining to do.
“So, you guys want to say anything in particular?” Remus asked inquisitively.
“I guess” Sirius answered. “Tom and I are together now.”
“Obviously” Draco snorted. Tom glared half-heartedly before dropping the mere idea of glaring. It just wasn’t worth it. Besides, it was pretty obvious that Sirius and he were together.
“What we want to know is how you got that way.” Remus pointed out.
“Well, it just kind of… happened. It was after he did the spell to give me back my power and inadvertently gave me back my body. After that I realized that he… you know… liked me and we just… got together.” Sirius stumbled over his explanation.
Harry and Draco were sitting in the back of the room, giggling to each other over Sirius’s predicament.
“And what exactly is so funny you two?” Tom asked scathingly.
“Nothing, just, Sirius looks so funny all embarrassed and everything.” Harry giggled.
“Yeah, and you can’t even glare properly while you’re with him.” Draco added, also giggling.
Tom growled, realizing the truth behind their words. “Shut up!” Tom ordered imperiously. The whole room burst into laughter, even Sirius. Tom pouted at Sirius. “You of all people could give me some support here?” Tom whined.
Sirius’s laughing died down quickly and he looked at Tom. “I’m sorry about that, but you have to admit, it was kind of funny.” Sirius said, coaxing a smile out of his boyfriend.
“Okay, it was kind of funny, but still, you should support me when everyone else is laughing at me, not laugh with them.” Tom said, unable and unwilling to pout.
“Okay, I’ll try not to laugh at you, promise.” Sirius gave him a side hug. Tom smiled at him, returning the hug. Remus smiled, wishing he had something like that for himself. But the only person he had any interest in was too stuck up in his potions to notice him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the ministry Fudge was in hell. Nothing was going right. And his pompous secretary, Umbridge, wasn’t things any easier. She was constantly nagging at him to do something about the theft situation and to put her in some sort of position of power at Hogwarts.
He didn’t know what to do about the thefts, but if putting her in Hogwarts would shut her the hell up then so be it.
“Umbridge!” Fudge called out to her. She came waddling into his office.
“Yes, minister.” She said in her overly sweet voice.
“I’ve thought of a place for you at Hogwarts.” She practically glowed with happiness that he finally listened to her nagging. “You will be the new DADA teacher.” Fudge continued and her face dropped. “What?” He asked tiredly.
“Minister, not to undermine your authority” Fudge rolled his eyes at that. She was always undermining his authority at every turn. “But perhaps it would be better if I were the Headmistress?” She said it like she expected him to bend over backwards to accommodate her. He wasn’t going to; she pissed him off too much.
“I’ve though it over carefully. You are to be the DADA teacher and that’s final. If you prove yourself apt at dealing with the students, then perhaps then I will appoint you Headmistress. For now I would rather someone from the actual School Board become Headmaster.” Dolores Umbridge didn’t look happy at that. She had wanted to rule the school but now she would have to settle for lowly teaching.
“Yes minister, whatever you say. I will do my best to teach the students.” She said sweetly, and left the office, much to Fudges delight.
Fudge wasn’t going to make her the headmistress, Lucius had already paid him off so that he could be headmaster. And so long as Lucius paid him off, he would accommodate him, not that overly sweet b***h.

Chapter 13
Lucius was doing exactly as his master told him to do when he bribed the minister to put him in charge of the school. He was to make sure that nothing went according to the minister’s plans.
Apparently the minister was making a little bit of ground in making the world more orderly and no matter how little ground he got, they needed to take it away from him. Lucius’s job was to keep order in the school but make it look like nothing within the minister’s reach could be kept up.
Technically, the school was separate from the ministry’s control. So long as he made sure the students knew that, but in a subtle way, then all would be well. The only problem was Dolores. That annoying b***h had wormed her way into getting the DADA position that had been intended for his master’s new ally, Remus Lupin.
She would undoubtedly ******** with his work but he had to keep that from happening. Perhaps fire her for insubordination or something of the like. It wouldn’t be too hard, after all, she had her own agenda. That woman had made it perfectly clear that she wanted to be the headmistress. But his master had given him more than enough money to bribe the minister into making him in charge instead of her.
Lucius had had a long chat with the woman a week before term started. It was clear that she had absolutely no intention of teaching the students anything. Lucius knew for a fact that some of the students wouldn’t take well to that and decided to let her try. After she fell flat on her a**, Lucius would laugh his off and fire her for being unable to deal with children. It was perfect. He had his plan, and he had his backup plan.
But it was two days before school started and Lucius was getting ready for a s**t load of brats who would undoubtedly complain about every single ******** thing that didn’t remind them of home and wasn’t totally suited to their wants and needs.
Hell on earth.
~BEGINNING OF SCHOOL~
Students piled in the school a loud buzz in Lucius’s ears. He wasn’t exactly thrilled about the situation he’d been put in, but he was going to make the best of it. Once all of the students had settled into their seat and the sorting was done, Lucius stood to make a welcoming speech.
“Welcome all, both old and new to another year at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I regret to inform all of you that don’t already know, that Albus Dumbledore is dead.”
“Eh hem” a ‘polite’ cough came from Umbridge. Lucius turned, giving her a death glare.
“Is there something you’d like to share Professor?” He asked her.
“Well actually-” She started but he interrupted.
“I thought not. As I was saying before I was interrupted, Albus Dumbledore was killed by a hostile alien. Since then” Lucius trailed off as yet another cough from Umbridge interrupted him.
“Yes Professor?” Lucius ground out.
“I would like to point out that aliens do not exist.” She said sweetly as though to a child. Lucius just stared at her. There was an alien sitting at one of the tables. Was she really that stupid? Apparently she was.
“Are you finished?” He asked. She nodded, smiling. “Alright then, now that out newest Professor has proved that she is completely unobservant and also completely brainless, let me introduce her: Our new Defense Against the Dark Art Professor is Dolores Umbridge.” A few scattered claps and chuckles echoed throughout the hall and Dolores scowled at her introduction.
“As I was saying before I was interrupted, yet again, since Dumbledore has died, I have been appointed your new headmaster because of my position on the school board. I hope this year will be enjoyable for all of us. If anyone disrupts the peace, I will have them removed from my school. And that includes teachers.” Lucius finished with a glare to a sputtering Umbridge.
During the whole speech, Draco, Harry, Dib, Zim and Severus all smirked. Severus had been informed of the situation before the start of the school year and he was fully on board.
~THE NEXT DAY~
The boys were all getting ready for the first class of the day: Defense Against the Dark Arts. It wasn’t something they were looking forward to. Umbridge had proven herself inept the minute she opened her mouth and to allow her to teach was a crime against humanity, and against Zim.
All of the tumbled into the classroom and took their seats in the back of the class with their wands out and their attentions gone.
“Is everyone here?” Umbridge asked sweetly. No one answered her, how the hell should they know, they didn’t have the roster. She clucked her tongue disapprovingly but let it slide. “All right, wands away, you won’t need them.” The class groaned but complied.
“Open your texts to the first chapter and read it. After you finish I would like you to summarize the chapter. If you finish that then do the same with the next chapter.” She sat at her desk, not expecting anyone to even raise their hands. After all, her instructions were pretty simple.
Everyone did comply, reading and making notes on the parchment nearby. Though the boys all exchanged glances at the simplicity of the work. And further on in the lesson, they realized that the text had barely anything to do with actual defense and more to do with how a class should be run. It was a ******** roster for new teachers!
After the class the boys decided to finish the rest of the chapters, using all of their free time to summarize chapters before their next DADA class which was on Wednesday, the current day being Friday.
The next class was Potions. All the boys went to the dungeons, trooping into the classroom and waiting for Snape to come.
Severus swept into the room, startling the s**t out of most of the students. He waved his wand at the board and instructions appeared and when the class just stared at him he snapped. “What are you waiting for? Ingredients are in the back. Get to work!” The students hastened to comply.
They were to make a simple relaxation draught and most of the class was capable of doing this potion two years ago. It was apparent that Snape didn’t feel like going over what they were doing and wanted them all to ease into school again, furthermore he didn’t want to check over their work for the hell of it.
Only a few students needed help but their partners were more than capable of helping them, so Snape didn’t even need to get up from his desk. As the class was nearing it end Snape stood, bringing the class’s attention to him.
“Misers Membrane, Irken, Potter and Malfoy, stay behind after class.” He called out. They all nodded and class went back to normal, with the students cleaning up after themselves.
Class ended and the boys stayed after like they’d been asked.
“Do you know why I’ve asked you to stay behind?” He asked them.
“Would it have anything to do with the toad we now have as a teacher?” Zim asked rhetorically, causing Severus to chuckle lightly.
“It would indeed. You need to watch yourselves around her. She’s from the ministry.” Severus warned them.
“Why is she here then? Isn’t Hogwarts supposed to be free of ministry influence?” Harry asked.
“It is, but the ministry is gaining influence. That is why Tom gave Lucius enough to bribe his way into office. Lucius is to keep Umbridge from gaining ground in Hogwarts.” Severus explained simply.
“If that’s the case then why not just fire her?” Dib asked.
“Lucius needs the ministry to believe he is still on their side. If he fires her, he needs a good reason. He can’t just get rid of her and be done with it unfortunately.” Severus grumbled.
“Then we’ll just have to give him a reason to get rid of her.” Harry suggested darkly.

The next DADA class rolled around and Zim, Draco, Dib and Harry had finished summarizing their textbook.
“Will you all take out you books and summarize chapter 2 please?” Umbridge asked and sat behind her desk, pulling out a book and beginning to read it. All four boys raised their hands and waited patiently without pulling out their books.
After a few minutes Umbridge must have felt their stares and looked up to see their hands in the air.
“Is there something in the instructions you didn’t understand boys?” She asked.
“No there wasn’t.” Zim answered.
“Then why aren’t you doing as I asked?” she asked in her sickeningly sweet voice that made everyone want to retch.
“We finished the book and were wondering is you intended to teach us any actual defense techniques?” Draco asked snidely.
Umbridge frowned. “You finished the book?” They nodded. “And you summarized all of the chapters separately?” She asked, hoping to trap them. They nodded though. “Well then you may work quietly.” She allowed them imperiously.
They boys looked at each other, holding a silent conference. Draco kept his hand raised.
“Was there anything else you needed?”
“We’d like to be taught defense, if you don’t’ mind.” Draco told her.
“Well I didn’t plan to teach you anything today so please work quietly.”
“Will you teach us tomorrow?” Draco continued.
“Young man, will you please work quietly, you are disturbing the rest of the class!” She snapped.
“Does that mean you won’t teach us anything useful in this class?” Draco ignored her instructions.
“Detention tonight at 8! Don’t be late!” She snapped and Draco settled down to read a random book from his bag.
