Mignon was what one would be called a fashion fan. She didn't allways like the current fashions, but she was allways in sych with some type of fashion.
Her current outfit was a skirt made of rosettes and a pink and white striped shirt, with shiny black shoes. She was browsing around the clothes racks, trying to find something to add to her collection.

Jani hand her hands planted on Neme's shoulders as the teen carried her on her back through the store. Her mother hated shopping, and being a good looking--if green haired, tattooed, and fanged-- teen, the girl loved it. Of course, she didn't really like shopping for babies but her mom insisted.
Twisting her baseball cap so the brim faced the front with one hand, Neme pointed to a small blond girl who was also browsing.
"Lookit, thar's some fash-in. Got some sty'l."
Jani's head obediantly turned to observe the girl, and her eyes widened.
"Mih...? Mih-ee!"
Neme looked slightly annoyed and sighed.
"Awwww sheet, 'course yah know 'er."

Mignon turned slightly at the mention of her name. She looked at Neme, not recognising her, then her eyes scrolled down to Jani. She grinned happily and strolled over.
"Hiya." She said to Neme, waving. "Don't worry, I'm not some crazy person trying to steal her. Me and Jani are friends."
"I got bigger." She added unnessisarily to Jani, spreading her arms out.

"Tha's too bad."
Neme drawled and stuck her hands out, holding the blonde baby.
"Yah wann'er? Ah'd like tah git somethin's."
No one else in the family had that type of thick accent, and Indu often puzzled over it.
Jani however, stared at her friend, shocked, excited, and a little sad. She's was even bigger than she was before and Sjajan felt tiny.
"...Ai Mih."
Her voice lacked it's usual enthusiam and the babe's eyes lingered on the clothes racks instead.
Neme frowned at her sister and then winked at Mignon.
"Wontcha take'er? Ah've got two hunnreds from Inoo for her. Yah look like yah got yer own moneh, but if yah need some..."
The green haired teen was prepared to give Mignon a third hundred to get Sjajan off her hands.

Mignon reached for Jani, still smiling. "You look cute today, Jani." She said in her usual cheery manner.
"I can't take her to keep, but I'd like to." She sighed. "Jani'd make a good sister, but Mom's allready told Indu no once."
"But I can take her for a while and go shopping! We can find all kinds of pretty things, won't we?" She said to Jani, happily.

"Well, ah, take th' moneh fer 'er steff."
Neme pushed the two hundreds into Mignon's hand and strolled off quickly, for a department that would hold the type of clothing for a teen looking to piss off her mother.

Jani let her finger's slip into Mignon's long curly hair with a small smile of enjoymet. She hadn't seen anyone else with curly hair!
"Preh-ee... Mignon."
Jani had said her second word correctly, the first being 'no' and she gave a proud smile as she pointed to some pretty barrettes on a rack next to the children's clothing. While the babe didn't seem to like clothes much, she adored accessories.

Mignon looked delighted at Jani's speech. "You said my name, Jani!" She spun in a circle happily. "You're getting so big! I bet, I bet, I bet you'll get a quest soon! We're special, you know. First, we learn an ability, then we grow!"
Her eyes followed Jani's to the barettes and she obligingly took Jani over to them. "Nice. Shiny things are good, expecially for hair." She put the money that Neme had given her into her purse, so she wouldn't drop it.

Jani had no idea what an ability was, but she figured it was important to growing, therefore it was important to her. Glancing over at the barrets again she frowned. Sjajan wanted almost all of them. Though her hair was short, it didn't mean she didn't like it to have decorations. She usually only liked one or two clips at a time though. It was her main girlish tendancy. She also loved strange hats, not caps, but one's like her mom's. But she was lost in a big store. Mignon was a genius, she'd help her find some cool clothes.
"Mig-Ee, elp 'ooooze?" Miggy, help choose?

Mignon nodded. "Of course, Jani." She'd gotten pretty decent at deciphering baby talk since she had been friends with Lyrus. He'd been adorable, but nearly impossible to understand half the time.
She picked up a couple of jeweled clips from the display before taking Jani over to the little kid's section. She spotted a few outfits that she deemed adorable, but didn't think that Jani would exactly like pink frills or yellow daisies. She snickered slightly and pointed at one. "That's definatly not you."

The messy haired babe wrinkled her face up and stuck out her tounge.
"No."
Glancing about, Jani spotting something that caught her eye. It was obviously suppsoed to go with an adorable little boy's suit, but she didn't want that. All she wanted was the tie that went along with it. Jani pointed at it, and a large floppy hat at the same time.
" 'Ai wah!"

Mig giggled and reached for a hat, plunking it down on Jani's head. "Very cute." She agreed. "And ties are very chic." She handed the tie to Jani and looked around.
"Let's see... We can kinda match, with different colors." She picked up a blue and white striped short sleeved shirt and held it up. "Okay for you, or do you like green better?"

"Green it is, then." She picked out the little shirt and started to browse around in pants.
"You're a cool little person, Jani." Mignon said as she serched. "I wish you were my sister. Too bad Mom won't steal you away from Indu. But I'd bet you'd miss her. So, I'll just be your friend. If you ever need something, you just tell me. If I can't do it, I'll find someone who can."
She picked up a little pair of dark green pants, since she didn't think Jani would like ot be in a skirt. "Now, shosies! I love shopping for shoes."

Jani paused as she toddled after Mignon and stopped to pick up a black belt that seemed like it would fit. She considered Mignon's words and smiled, before saying something that wasn't rarely uttered.
"Uv Mignon."
Well, she hadn't gotten the word 'love' down pat, but Indu told her it was something you said to your good friends, and your family. Mignon was her friend, even if she was a lot older. Like a big sister, only cooler. She was a lot cooler than Neme.
"Oose?"
Shoes? Jani didn't wear those often. In fact, she was barefoot at the moment...

Instant heartmelt. Mignon beamed down at the girl. "I love you too, Jani." She chirped. Which was true. Mignon hadn't met anyone she didn't love. Well, not other-mom, Noharu, that funky elf guy, and Momoro. But everyone else she loved.
"That belt'll look good." She agreed. "I like shoes. Mom likes shoes too, but she only likes hers in blue and kiwi green. I think we should get shiny black ones like mine."
