Dark holiday? I haven't heard that term used before in such a way... never for something on a six year basis. In the wheel of the year, though, the holidays can be divided up based on the proportion of daylight to darkness; those that have shorter daylight hours could be considered 'dark' holidays. There would be three of those: Samhain, Winter Solstice, and Imbolc. All three of those are characterized by a domination of darkness over light. The two equinoxes are balanced, so can't be said to be 'dark' per say. Beltane, Summer Sosltice, and Lughnasadh could be said to be 'light' holidays since light dominates darkness at this time of year.

Uh...the only think I know of that you could possibly be talking about is the blue moon tomorrow.
It's not dark or anything...but it only happens once every few years smile

Remember, most calendars display phases on universal time, not your local time zone. I bet the Blue Moon does hit this month in some worldly locales though, I'm just not sure where.

Do you mean the Moors?
I've never heard of the other one, or this one, really -- I can't even find anything about it on google other than apparently either being a movie or episode of a show. o_O
I just know who the Moors were. o _o

I would hate to throw something aside until I know it is a hoax. Btw. I looking into Mors. Apparently it is like a god of death. some sort at least

Well, "Mors" is similar to "Mort" which is French for death. Maybe it's in another language.
However, what pantheon/culture is this from? I've never heard of it before.

Ah, the Roman version of Thanatos.
Well, Thanatos was at best a demi-God, one of the sons of Nyx (Night).
